She's no fool, this is an opportunity neither of them can pass up. While they definitely aren't 'in love', they both have a practical take on raising children: inheritances on two worlds, business and social contacts on them as well as dragonries? And the ability to train and work with the very best on those worlds? Hello? Radin and she have a son named Dynari, and possibly may have other children in the future, though given that both of these people are very long-lived, those may come in 30 or 40 years time!

3: with Vahh's help she's able to maintain debt payback for several individuals mostly to help her run paperwork and legal jobs on Zekira; these apply for those legal needs of Sehatan / Peridian legally, so if she for some reason stops trying to work with health or genetics, they will be divested and she will not have them on her roster. It's highly unlikely that she will need to do this, and much more likely that there will be more of them in the future given her powers

Minor

Cool Local Area/Self + Cold Survival - This ability is essentially 'always on' and is noticable if someone who is sensitive to temperature comes within arms' length of her. She is always just slightly cooler than the surroundings, and suffers no ill effects from being in considerably colder climates and settings. The power doesn't 'cool it down even more' - if she's in the snow this power doesn't really do anything more

Human Empathy - With a grandfather who likely displayed the exotic 'Spirit' based powers of a strong Air Bender, this ability works best at close range or touch, and she can detect mood, overall mental and emotional condition, and whether there are any nagging problems that the person is hiding even if they don't know about them (a long standing fear with no obvious source, etc)

Water Sense^ - As a Water bender this is obviously supposed to be her strong point, but as mentioned below what she does with it is less than thrilling. She's hardly ever been in a location that wasn't in some way 'near enough' to a water supply that it's ever been needed. However she can, with active concentration (and difficulty) detect the purity level of water samples, choosing among other liquids in containers to find the one that's untainted, and the like

Major

Healing - a 'Blood Bender' is able to focus on the life force of a creature or person, and help activate the natural healing process in them for small wounds (under 8 points). However she also can extert her willpower over cells and injuries can heal up to 16 points of damage while she is concentrating. The wounds may be quite serious, internal organs, breaks, deep burns, and even brain injuries. This can take multiple applications, and she can do this up to half an hour for the full 16 points, but must rest for at least several hours afterward to recover. She can push herself to do more, but will certainly collapse into a deep sleep directly after

Local Ice/Water Shaping^ - She can manipulate small amounts of liquid water (about a gallon at most at one time) a bit more easily than ice, but with some strong concentration can cause them to move, ice changing texture or shape, transparency, or bring a splash or spray of water up to about 10 meters away. All of that is both exhausting and requires her full attention, so any distraction will cause it all to fall down or simply refreeze in the case of ice

Special Genetic Manipulation - along with a finely honed Gene Sense and having been given extensive education about just exactly what genes are (since Benders don't yet have that technology on their home world, and won't likely develop it if they still have magic to use), Yaradi can actively manipulate genetics even on fully grown and developed humanoids. The process can be as simple as turning one single gene on or off (not that there's one single gene that does anything on its own) in an egg or sperm cell, to refining several effects in a spliced embryo, on up to essentially changing genes in a living person so that they won't develop diseases, or would be sure to pass on specific traits to their offspring. In any sample beyond an embryo in a jar, anything that can feel pain consciously will be overwhelmed if this power is used - so either make sure to have attendants to mitigate this, or be completely unconsious and with drugs to aid in forgetting about it should they wake up. If anything - this power would be of far more "combat" use than her basic water bending... There is no 'damage' to be healed, so she can't use this on an adult 'and just heal it up' with her other power, it's merely the detection of these cell-level changes to an entire body as a side effect. Making a simple change to a sample (always be blue-tinted, never develop skin rash) take up to half an hour to fully develop; a large and permanent basic change, or any changes to a fully adult person's body, may take up to eight hours of dedicated focus, and yes she is capable of doing it in one sitting. Whether the patient is capable, that's another thing entirely...

Disadvantages

^Oddly enough, though technically a Water Bender, her 'strictly water-based' powers are difficult to activate, as well as requiring full concentration; and she could never possibly compete in any battles, a performance anxiety issue that she just simply avoids by not trying to bend like that

NOTE that since she has both healing and gene alteration powers, she is very much on the legal radar on Zekira. While they know that these imported offworlders (along with others having come in through various means) may think nothing much is 'wrong' with just being able to heal people or change their DNA structure on the fly, actually doing that to a Zekiran citizen without being fully and legally licenced and having the Status to prove it, is absolutely illegal. Since she is among those protected by various members of the Vahh clan, they have made certain that if she's out and about, someone is keeping their eye on her to make sure she doesn't 'accidentally' happen across someone in need of her powers. This is more for her protection than anything else, because the consequences of a non-Status person even saving a life if they can't prove they are allowed, are very, very dire.

To that end, however, Vahh has made her aware that she will eventually have to pass the local Status exams. Becoming a full Sehatan isn't all that difficult for a person who knows anatomy and bedside manners, but attaining the Peridian 6th Degree in order to legally acquire and work with genetics is definitely a difficult task for someone who barely knows the local language. She was born here, but the Benders are autonomous and only deal with these things if they're taken out of their normal situation on their Islands. She has, definitely, been encouraged to do so - her powers are quite strong and her will is even stronger, plus she's more than intelligent enough to fit all that education into her head! It just takes more time, because the legal process is as messy as any complex system on Zekira.

Her powers can be used on the Bender islands without consequence, as the area is fully protected from the legal morass outside of them. (And yes this does mean that sometimes, people have tried to slip in and get healed without having to pay for it, like they would anywhere else on the planet...)

Basics Literacy 3/5b - while she's still learning all the ins and outs of Zekiran script (it's really squiggly and weird!) she is quite good at reading and writing in their own native language and script

Personal 5 - she is careful to keep herself clean and tidy, working with injuries or genetics alike require it! (also: yes that's an Airbender color combo she wears, what? orange is her favorite color!)
Land/Area 1 - they're really needing to work on this, she does know she's 'off the coast of Emosah' but what that means to her is 'there's a big world out there! wow!' (she has no knowledge of the layout of the Bender homeworld, aside from seeing some old maps in her parents home)

Professional

As she is a Blood Bender with incredible ability, her professional skills are all geared around surgery, health, and genetics. However many of the 'skills' she has to demonstrate for the Zekiran status exams require a bit of 'translation' - she didn't learn anatomy from a book, she learned it from literally feeling the bodies with her powers. So she's learning names for parts, how they might differ from Bender to Zekiran anatomy, what sorts of tools are used for physical healing, and the more major instruction about how to describe Genetics. None of these are at higher than 10 right now, but that 10 is what she'd achieved just by being a blood bender. Anything new she learns will be on top of that basic knowledge, and coded for her Status exams. Her specialties are listed below where needed.

Triage 5 - with her keen emotional sense and knowledge of basic anatomy she is on hand to assess who needs the most help the fastest, and who can sit in the waiting room just a little longer
Bedside Manner / Dire 5 - she becomes super-serious if someone is badly hurt, and goes into a hyperfocused trance the moment she knows she is 'allowed' (she will grumble and complain about that every single time, even after becoming a licensed Sehatan); she can take clues from the injured party, to make sure that they are comfortable and in a safe feeling environment
Bedside Manner / Clinical 10 - surprisingly good with explaining what needs to be done outside of the surgical chambers or a genetic engineering session, some claim that she could teach Zekirans a thing or two about 'get the paperwork signed later right now this is your health and is more important'
Internal Injuries 15 - she can instantly tell if someone's hurt just by the aura they give off both mentally and physically, and will move into action quickly; she can detect and sort out what organs need to be healed, how to approach them if it's actually necessary to use surgical tools, and how to follow up with questions about the recovery period
Nerve Injuries 10 - she feels it quite strongly when someone has either an injury that has severed or damaged nerve tissue (from a painful pinched spinal nerve to brain damage, to long lasting physical trauma brought on by emotional or psionic issues), and though she's not prepared to become a psychologist in addition to physician, she knows when to call in someone to help with post-traumatic disorders that may cause posture issues or self-harm, all of which are brain injuries at their core; since she is a strong empath, she will prioritize getting help for someone even if she cannot do it herself
Genetics / Generalized 15 - while this amount is typically enough to make a living for any other career, Genetics require another good stretch before she's ready to take that exam. There are so many ins and outs of genes that she does have to sit down with tutors regularly to consult with them - but that's fine, they all do that! This level of skill means she's able to make checklists of things to sense for, and knows the 'basic template' of a humanoid body in terms of its normal genetics already. Anything 'weird' like the presence of physical mutations in Zekirans, or the expression of powers and psionics (which she was quite surprised to learn aren't actually 'present' in Bender genetics, but pass along to children on Zekira as though they are!) she has had to study. She loves looking over the genetic charts and has begun working on her own for Benders
Genetics / Alteration 10 - for the purposes of passing any given exam, she's got to know which tiny string to pull and what the whole cloth will wind up looking like afterwards. She keeps detailed records of the samples that she's been brought to practice on, and since Vahh has many extremely talented genetic engineers on hand, they come in to check her work. So far so good!

Personal Skills Organized 5 - She is clever with putting things in order, and needs very little time to set up a surgical tray or a set of notes about gene orders, or deciding what she must study first to pass whatever current exam is on her plate
Martial Arts 2b - When her instructors realized she was positively woeful at actually Water-Bending like a normal bender, they gave her enough to go on to complete moves and understand what motions might guide a specific power, but beyond that she won't be fighting or competing, and has never needed these flowing arts to work her healing powers
Landscaping and Interior Design 5b - Mainly from having been brought up in a Bender home, she has a good eye for texture, flow of air and water features, where to place plants or artwork, and generally make an environment look good and feel comfortable. She has used this skill in decorating her clinic, and those Zekirans who visit it (some while on vacation to these lovely odd villages) have commented on how profoundly relaxing the area feels even if they're there to fix a broken arm
Power Use Healing / Accuracy 5 - it's very important to find exactly the right place to fix first

** Overall Yaradi is a well-adjusted and clever young woman. She is dedicated to the health and well-being of those around her, like most blood-benders and healers are on her family's homeworld. When she sets her mind to a task, she does it and gets it done right. She isn't afraid to do something multiple times to work out what might go wrong, or what to do better, and sees no shame in making mistakes as long as they don't endanger people.

** Brought to this event and is delighted that there are such beautiful snow-loving creatures that can act as a partner and not just a 'mount'. She has no idea what really to expect out of this, but might do well with a companion who can stabilize or comfort people, or swiftly and carefully move them to where they're safe. Her family has told tales of 'dragon deer' before, but she's not positive that this is what they meant!

** Within about 10 years with or without a bond, she will be ready to fully pass her Status exams and be a Sehatan / Peridian 6th Degree. However to get to that point she will definitely be dedicating several hours every single day to it, putting everything into practice the moment she has either learned it or been given the okay to use it publicly.

** Depending on her needs, she may establish another Land Hold somewhere chillier. Even though she's a Water Bender and there's lots and lots of small lakes and waterways on the Island where she lives, it is not a year-round chill or even a seasonally-snowy place, and she wants to be able to keep any dragon or pets in the right climate! Fortunately for her, there are spots among the Vahh clan's holdings that would be fine to start annexing, including one up in the very far reaches of Zerin/Stetil, in Raa'nach Vahh's Nofa hold (also where Radin has land, which is surprisingly similar to the neighborhood that Toivo is from on Earth...). There, it is chilly year round and the bay freezes over regularly! If she does have to do this, she will likely create a homestead as well as another clinic, and require the use of yet more Vahh-supplied indebted individuals who know how to do paperwork. She stays well clear of Raa'bina during times when Raa'nach's daughter is at the clinic, mostly because the dragon she rides is terrifying...

Features: A slender, oily red reindeer dragon with small antlers, an unruly mane, furry boots and a fluffy tail. His large feathery wings are lined with small lights; 75% Deer Dragon, 25% Fireling
Powers: Winged Flight, a strong flier in foggy conditions, Gnistre tends to enjoy sweeping the coastline for any stragglers or tourists that have made the error of remaining outdoors too long. Particularly in the chill autumn air this place can be deceptively pleasant in the daytime but the overnight temperatures will cause quite a bit of damage! So Gnistre can use his sparkling lights to illuminate a small patch of the fog, which actually doesn't make it easier to see through - but does allow him to attract attention to himself, and guide travelers to him. He can fly slowly in these conditions until he locates people, and then rather swiftly move them to safety even if there are multiple people on his shoulders. In clear and calm air he is remarkably agile, though he doesn't show off much he can surprise people with his ability to sidestep and dodge, rather like a monk might in combat with a deft opponent
Verbal speech, Telepathy; it's surprising how much a dragon knows of any given subject, and it is possible that Gnistre studies 'by osmosis' simply listening in on people's minds as they work or practice. His mental voice is clear and calm but can also 'feel' soft, all-encompassing, and like a heavy warm blanket.
Strobe Illusions and Fireworks (light & fire magic); those lights on his wings can blink in sequence similarly to a landing field, which if needed can be a life saving effort up in Nofa. Hovercraft and helicopter rescues are quite common and also quite dangerous, after all, so when he's on patrol and there are people needing much more care in transportation he can guide them. But when all is said and done he likes to use these abilities to please and enrich as much as save and entrance, so if a bunch of people seem a little bored watching the summer waves overnight (it's that far north after all) he'll add a bit of a light show for them
Cheer, a sphere of feel-good empathy eminates from him and almost constantly allows people to relax, feel better about themselves, and come away from their experiences with a positive angle. If a child is crying, it's not for long, as he can distract and entrance them easily; a worried couple waiting for their friend to emerge from healing or surgery won't need to fret with him around

Lost in a conversation with the local Aelith, Amarlon and Liciya, Yaradi the Zekiran-born Gene Bender was about as oblivious to her surroundings as one discussing their passions could be. She had come to Lantessama to bond a reindeer dragon but had not fully grasped all that entailed, so it was surprising when a blood-red male dragon suddenly butted into their conversation. The Aelith looked amused instead of annoyed and took a step to the side. Yaradi wondered what this dragon would add to the conversation, something about the red and the lights of the dragon, of Gnistre lulled her into a drowsy state.

"Excuse me gentlemen," Gnistre said as he deftly pulled his bond on his back, "I'll be heading for the food before this one forgets to enjoy the festivities."

"Hey, I wanted to talk more..." Yaradi tried to complain but she was hit again by the giddy feeling of cheer and the lull of the lights and she thought: "This would be such a good anaesthetic..." before dozing off.
