Master Starcrafter Gr'krrs

As you reach the Starstone heights, you hear a beating of wings outside the weyr's wall. Then, upon finding the opening to the heights, you see a largish Blue dragon with his rider about to dismount. He drops to the ground and removes his riding helmet and loosens his jacket.

Here is a handsome, older, tall man with a slick bald head, small eyes and a broad smile. "Ah, I was told you would be coming up to visit." His voice is rich and deep, and you immediately feel at ease around him.

"Yes, who is this?" You ask indicating the dragon.

"My Varmath, he's almost as good at predicting Threadfall as I am!"

Almost? My rider, you underestimate me!

"He spoke to me!" You cry out, surprised.

"Yes, he has a habit. It is certainly from our service to the Weyr, since we are the first to know about Threadfall we must tell people immediately. It has made him very open with conversing with other humans. Riders or not." Gr'kerrs pats the dragon's haunch as he lowers down to rest from their flight.

"Were you scouting the coast?" You ask, then notice the view from here on the peak of DragonHope mountain. Gr'kerrs only smiles again, and puts his hand down on your shoulder.

"It's beautiful, isn't it? Sometimes I just like to stand and watch the clouds."

It is true, you can see the tops of the clouds from up here! The coast line far below is shrouded in mists and perhaps the clouds go to kiss the surf as well.

"I will eventually be retiring," Gr'kerrs says, "I'm getting old and I have a number of Journeymen and women to choose from. But I think I may try and remain up here, just for the view, even when I am retired."

You remain mute, watching the dragons below head out over the water, on their sweeps. You can barely see their colors, only their shapes and sizes.

"The drum heights are here too," Gr'kerrs suggests, "would you like to meet the Drummer and Watch Rider?"

"I ... would, yes." You say, and he leads you through a winding shelter to the fire heights.
