Name: Jargra Ztesh Age: 12 at Search, currently 18 Species: Rodian Family: unknown, likely still alive but in hiding, and wouldn't know him now Profession: Jedi in training, Pilot and tech engineer; Padawan to Vel-Yinn at age 14 Origin: Far Galaxy, not born on Rodia but trained on various worlds Current Whereabouts: training at Carramba High, but will reside on Ketvaozh to aid with their star port on maturity Height/Build: currently still fairly small around 5'2" but will grow a few inches at adulthood Appearance: fairly typical of his species, Jargra has jade green scaly skin, tall standing fluted antennae, fairly large pointed ears, and unusually bright turquoise-tinted pupil-less eyes. While he is shown in his typical robes, he actually prefers working gear and to have his hands (and sometimes feet) freed from gloves or shoes so he can feel around for tools or small parts more easily. Even with his facial features being framed by fairly stiff scales, he is quite expressive, and will usually have his antennae gently moving around scanning for any untoward noises - but they also tend to betray his immediate feelings. While he speaks Rodian it's as a second language, and generally speaks Standard without issue. Unlike many of his breed, Jargra tends to smell only like machine oil or ozone, rather than 'rank', and this is a feature that some females have commented on too Lightsaber: Built from smooth metals and pieces left over by explorers and fit with his new crystal, found on Xen. This saber is hefty, but he claims he likes to feel its weight to remember what it can do to a person or creature, rather than just flicking it around only to accidentally strike a lethal blow. The crystal he found has a faintly blue-tinted violet color, but it's also one that he himself states 'it is much more than just those two colors, but Humans and others can't see it...' He claims that the blade can illuminate arcane imprints and light up Force-sensitive or Vortal paintings, but again other breeds with more limited eyesight may have trouble seeing it the way he does |

Force Skills: Natural Navigator - adept with many aspects of Force use, but focused consciously because apparently Rodian travels across the galaxy are problematic at least for their return to their homeworld... Jargra memorizes star charts, patterns, and math thoroughly if not instantly. It takes a moment or two but within those moments he can get you from here to there, wherever either of those are, with confidence. Mundane Skills: Jargra is a natural (as above) at navigation, piloting many different kinds of starships, and inputting information to get clear results. But he also has a knack for scrounging parts or pieces, and his classes at Carramba definitely exploit that! He's all about travel and safety in that regard, making sure that if there's a weapon part it goes in the right bin rather than into someone's hand. Classes at CHS:

(bits shared with Vel Yinn) Jargra was asked to come along to meet some of Karen Kenobi's 'friends', who turned out to be more dragons than one person probably should be attached to. Of course, they immediately explained that while a couple of those were actually-bonded to her, a fair few simply wanted the company. Izorrat was quite the place, but it paled in comparison sometimes, to the fun of Crescent City, and the school he attended there. And though Karen wasn't one of his specific instructors, he had not one but two Force-masters as teachers! They went back and forth both physically and philosophically when Vel-Yinn brought up the fact that he was of age and certainly of skill level to properly become a Padawan and being his steps toward Mastery. While he was certainly invested in this process, and put in his two credits worth of conversation about it, in the end, Mochifa, Karen, Vel, and several others scattered about the temples all seemed to agree that Vel Yinn was the right Master for him. It was also entirely possible that Mochifa Ne wanted to see both of them learn from one another, but that's her story. There was a strong amount of mutual respect between Vel and Jargra, which was reinforced after they'd befriended their respective beautiful dragons at Darkling Dawn's sands. She was first to impress, Jargra a little later but to the first male dragon that had bothered to show his snout to the crowd. With a methodical step and careful young eye, this blue dragon paused in front of most of the remaining candidates but only sat by and spoke to one of them: Jargra. He was to be known as a 'Day' blue, with that hint of a gold sun rising at his paws and on his wingsails. The darkness of night would be merely a memory swept by his tail. Smart, the dragon telepathically connected with the Rodian. My name is Curresh, he said. If there was more to it, it came only in the form of a deep understanding between the two. Jargra didn't need more than that - the dragon got to the point, obviously if they were here and he knew the dragon's name... He knew hunger, itchiness, exhaustion. But the dragon put a patient and carefully calm demeanor on most of the time. They went to join Vel Yinn and Tallys her Silver Day, for their first meal, their first parade as bonded dragons, and finally back to the dorm where Padawan and Master would watch their dragons sleep for the first time outside their shells. ** He did want to dwell a little longer at the Ketvaozh starport, even if it was a small one he had it in his head that they could monitor things with specialized gear - putting that into the suggestion box before they left for more pleasantly humid locations to traipse around. The training they'd done at the hidden world had been great for flight endurance, strong winds and a fair bunch of other dragons to swoop around with giving them confidence in unpredictable weather. Darkling Dawn's training sessions had left all of them with a good basic knowledge of how to hunt, care for, clean up after, and eventually ride the dragons. There were classes both would also attend even at CHS, with Vel laughing about how much more fun it was as a student than the ever-intimidating mass of instruction everyone always needed from her. It wasn't too much later, but long enough that their pair of sibling dragons had grown up into reasonably strong young adults, that they would explore here and there. Winding up back on Xen took a while, but then did time even pass there? They were assured it did, but the Vorts and other Jedi were quite happy to see both of them, even if 'they changed the triunes'! He and Vel would trade off skills, she was the diplomat and he the pilot, but they enjoyed their times apart if for no other reason than to bring their stories back to one another! |
