ORIGINAL PAGE from around ... 2002 or 2003? The first portion takes place on the Zekiran ship, while later they arrive to Planet 20 and help colonize the world. Original pages on geocities were jolie-cove, jolie, and jolie2. *** Jolie is one of the very rare water-mutant Zekirans.
Her presence on the Zekiran immortals' ship was barely even noticed until some bright immortal or other asked about sea-faring pets. Jolie is hosting a Glenn/Keltic Rose Isle Dragon egg! Her hope is that it will grow into a sea-water type dragon, so she can swim with the big boys! However, she also keeps track of numerous other smaller creatures found around various worlds, all requiring some amount of water environment. |

Here is a splashing Kelpie from the EverRealm. He's rather hard to tame, and no one has yet managed to ask him if he has a name.
Though the last below is an air breather, he comes up only rarely. He is relatively friendly, especially to Jolie! |

Jolie swims up to the edge of her pond, and greets Viridia. The woman has a broad smile on her face, and Jolie knows something important is up. The activity around the pond increases dramatically after this visit. Because Jolie wants to make sure that whatever dragon that does come from a precious egg will be welcome -- water or not! *** Jolie proudly watched the egg as it cracked once, bumped twice, and then with its third swaying rocking jolt crumbled around a beautiful silver hatchling! *** Splash! Splash!
*** The dragons in the Dome were quite happy to have a new addition, even if she only stuck her head out of the water for a few minutes at a time. Ezust certainly enjoyed her watery environment, and her caretaker was apt to enjoy it just as much with her. *** It was no surprise that the big Glenn dragon named Ezust grew into a Water-type dragon! She enjoys her time alone in the bigger lake, but she usually finds herself comfortable in the smaller pond where her friends swim. ** After becoming an adult, Ezust and Hullam and Jolie are participating in the Healing Den's Summer Swim 2002 (LOL)! There, all three expect to find appropriate mates for themselves. Glenn Dragon from Keltic |

*** Planet Twenty landing!! *** | |
Jolie's new sea-pod on Planet Twenty is a much nicer, large section of a bay that rests on the south-east side of their territory. In celebration of their finding a planet to colonize, Jolie and several others were sent out to retrieve new bond animals for their future. Jolie went to Planet Alskyr, where she found Xidaver Isle, and there she was rewarded with a beautiful dark-green sea dragonet! Morx cove was a busy place for this large hatching, but only a few scant people stood for dragons individually. Several of the beautiful hatchlings went to other agencies, and Jolie was proud to have the lovely dark green male Ithyst by her side when all the shells were broken. Dark Green Ithyst, Male Currently fairly small, but like many sea dragons on Alskyr, he may grow to be quite large. Jolie and he spend lots of time exploring the Cove together. When he is big enough to move, she will summon their shuttlecraft and take him home with her, home, to Planet Twenty. ** This is the sleek and beautiful Ithyst as a teen! Jolie decides that this is a good time to move back with the others and set up Ithyst in his own little cove at Planet Twenty! He agrees - though Ithyst doesn't speak much, he is a silent swimmer. ** Ithyst is fully grown now! He soars through the water with as much ease as a bird through the sky - but he can also surface and leaps out occasionally to see what's going on out side. He has discovered that there are hidden caverns below the Cove, where he plans on setting up his nest if he can find a mate... |

It is a new decade and Ezust has participated in a 'Mermay' breeding frenzy! She's come home with a lovely dragon, very well suited to the local environment indeed. She paired with Wakame and later waited in the Refugium with the rest of the parents - and the many, many attendants, for the hatching to occur. |

*from hatching* Excitement was beginning above the surface now. Ezust remained curled protectively around her nest, rumbling back to the hatchlings that began to chirp within their eggs. With a thunderous crack the first egg split in two, and a tiny silver hatchling tumbled out. Egg sticky and wobbly on her legs, she picked herself up as best she could to meet her mother's eyes. She was the spitting image of her dam, if a bit paler, and covered in kelp fronts rather than spikes. :: I'm staying with you :: she said, determined. Ezust huffed and nuzzled her contrary little daughter. :: Of course, Wervad . Jolie will find you delightful. :: ** As Wervad slipped around the bay, she was accompanied by half a dozen other swimming dragons and Zekirans, the first to reach the crashed craft. There were flying dragons overhead but they lagged behind mostly due to the almost-superstitious fears of their riders. Deep water and Zekirans, or cheetah-kin, was not really on their list of to-do-today... But there were these seaborn dragons now, and Wervad gave a loud booming chirp when she cleared the surface to gain speed and dive even deeper than before. We will handle this, you can wait on shore, she asserted to the dragons flapping above. And while the dragons themselves all but balked - they were capable of swimming - the riders actually agreed readily. So the group of swimmers dove down to catch up with the ever-falling spacecraft. Parts of it were still breaking away and floating or sinking depending on their components. Some of the Zekiran swimmers would catch those, bring them to the surface and examine them. The sleek and small Wervad slipped through the broken airlocks and discovered a sealed room beyond. She couldn't read the script on the big signs nearby, but got the idea from the symbols: this was a secure hold, and there were people in it. Terrified, desperate. Humans. There was a ripple of discussion from the riders and dragons still out on shore when the knowledge came from the submerged dragon. What will we do, she asked. Ezust didn't wait for their confirmation, and dove below the still-sinking craft, and interrupted its fall. Others drifted with less enthusiasm but eventually they all boosted it with powers or muscles, back to the surface. A plethora of smaller dragons and locals gathered the spare goods, crates or pieces of the ship over the next few days. The ship itself was ruined beyond repair, something had hit it before it even entered the atmosphere. The humans on board, however, were herded up and kept separate from the local population. They would be interrogated but helped as much as they could be, many had been injured but most were merely frightened and shocked. It wasn't even meant to be in this area, but they had had to adjust their course when they realized the Other was their assailant. Those insectoid creatures from their own sector of the galaxy were gearing up yet again. Wervad knew that the mood of the Planet 20 inhabitants regarding humans was bleak at best, but versus the Other ... they knew that enemy well, since they'd defeated it before when they'd made planetfall here some two decades before. So now it would be with a new generation of dragons, riders, and powerful allies, to fight this new incursion, and that suited Wervad quite well. Name: Wervad |
