Dragon Mastery - aka Pairing Rules and Regs Each type of Zekiran dragon does require a different kind of person to Master it. According to the Dragon descriptions, please make your character sensibly. The dragon Master or Breeder is the only thing of Rank - individual dragons do not have an innate ranking system based on color or gender. Stories will get "cooler" or more Breedable dragons. Each dragon will be listed with a Breedability rating, which may count as the only "rank" for dragons. Since the dragons will age and die, I don't recommend getting too attached to them. Character rules For character pairing, these rules apply: 1 - Any character from any world may apply to a Zekiran nest. I prefer Zekirans, but they're complicated to make, and are not essential. If the character is Zekiran, they *will* reside upon the world of Zekira. If they are from off-world, they must have some kind of explanation as to how they got to Zekira and found this nest. They must also be able to provide their own travel back and forth between their world and Zekira, as the Zekiran dragons do NOT have the ability to teleport or go off-world! 2 - Characters may be from about age 13 on up. Zekirans live for around 200 or more years, and their dragons live anywhere from 15 to 150. Immortal characters will go through a number of these dragons, if they so wish. Young characters do not need to worry about being too young to handle a mating flight, as the breeding of Zekiran dragons is entirely different from other worlds. 3 - Characters MUST apply according to their abilities. If they cannot swim, they MUST not apply for a Sea dragon. If they're afraid of heights, I'd recommend a Swamp or Stone dragon. If they can't handle the heat, don't get a Desert dragon. See? Each dragon is individual, important and unranked. Only the Master has a rank, and as they grow older, their choices may expand accordingly. The character page must show a bit of thought - the writer should have read up on at least the DMZ portion of Zekiran worldly life. 4 - The page must include a link to the DMZ - http://www.geocities.com/dragonmasters_of_zekira . If it does not have this link, the page will not be accepted. Period. Any and all graphics, music and such must also be linked on the same page where the item is used. No exceptions. 5 - Do not apply to a nest that doesn't exist. When a nest is available, send in your requests.
However, if you wish to send a "Sponsorship" instead, please read and follow these rules! 1 - Sponsors must have an already-established character, either of Zekiran or off-world origin, who has paired at least one Zekiran dragon. Remember that, since they age and 'die', Zekiran dragons do NOT add toward the "dragon count" of a high ranking character off-world *unless the owner of the prior dragon site insists otherwise*. So an already-existing character MAY opt to also pair with a Zekiran dragon of some appropriate kind if their own dragon agrees with it. 2 - Sponsorship requests can be for 1 to 3 eggs to be placed in their "account". When the hatching occurs, these eggs will be sent to the Sponsor *along with a pregenerated character* who may be of a low-ranking Status. This character will train and Master the dragon or dragons in question. 3 - General page requirements are as above for regular characters, in terms of links for this site and any backgrounds, images, etc. The Sponsored characters must have a page created and reserved for them on YOUR site, with a stat table, space for their dragon(s), a link to the DMZ, and hopefully a short story in addition to their stats. The story is entirely optional and will never affect the next pairing that the Sponsor requests. The Sponsored characters may be Slave, Bayaran or Free Worker Status, each is used slightly differently and for story purposes may provide the Dragon Breeder with inspiration. The characters at any time may be "taken" by the Sponsor as their own - or, when Bayaran or Worker statused characters have paid off their debt (in the case of Bayaran) or wish to terminate their employment (for Workers) they may do so... This is entirely up to the Sponsor! 4 - Stat Tables for Sponsored characters must contain the information sent along with the dragon image. This information WILL CHANGE according to the time line being followed! For more information about the status, abilities and such, please consult either the World of Zekira rpg site, or the Character Generation pages linked in the menu. In either case, when a nest is available, information will be sent out through the Nexus online dragoning group. If you are not a member of the group, sorry - I cannot keep track of any email based pairings. Get a yahoo account and join the group like everyone else, thanks. When the hatchings occur, and the images and information has been sent out, each Sponsor or applicant has 3 weeks to put up their information. As long as I know you'll be late, it's okay to go on vacation or to get busy with school/work, but if I am not informed specifically, I will assume that those dragons have *died* and are no longer available. The Sponsored pages neglected this way will delay any other sponsorship I allow from that person. I'm reasonably nice about abandonment on other sites, but here there are time constraints that I will and must enforce. When you're ready to, please EMAIL Viridia with your candidate information. Only when there are nests, will the email link be working. :) |
