Dragon Masters
of Zekira Character Creation
Strengths and Weaknesses
Check over each option carefully,
and note the information given at the bottom of the page
My character was born with remarkable
strength and has always been healthy -- but has no other amazing qualities.
This character is almost purely physical in nature.
A character with this sort of type base is a strong, ox of a person, without
having much in the way of brain or psionic power. They have no Dragon
or Animal Tunings, they might not have any psionics at all, just a normal
person.
Each Status has a few different slants for jobs or skills which a type
has, read down to find your chosen Status.
Slave -- Field work, heavy mining, drudge work which is either dangerous
or completely undesirable by others
Bayaran -- Grunt work or very repetitive assembly in a factory, somewhat
dangerous jobs like deep sea fishing or power plant maintenance, bodyguarding
very rich people
Free Worker -- steed upkeep or field work of a more skilled type (plough
operation and machinery upkeep), big construction jobs
Free Land Holder -- bodyguard, backbreaking but rewarding construction
or landscaping, harvesting or seamanship
Membayar -- unlikely though it sounds, Bonders can in fact do heavy labor...
Owner -- steed racing, sports athlete, show off
Suzerain -- rather less likely to be from this Status, but might have
some higher-level construction or artistic type of job
Animal or Dragon Master, Dragon Breeder -- Hunting, race course work,
Hern Rat (guard animals) keeper, animal enclosure construction/maintenance
Breeder -- a coarse, boorish person with only physical talent? Not likely
to be in this Status at all! (snoot!)
High Owner -- exploration, dangerous thrill seeking, sports, steed racing
(power)
High Holder -- rather like a Mafia heavy, rich but has no clue how they
got there...
This type of character will have a good set of physical skills and a weaker
amount of mental or social ones. They are not really likely to climb social
ladders but they might win some fame by doing some feat that no one else
has claimed.
What about the powers?
A physical character will not have any psionic powers, their reliance
on their body will carry them into the Dragon Mastery status if nothing
else could. They will usually be chosen for large, hard to manage Dragons
(such as Stone or Desert). They should have a bit of compassion about
them, an empathy which the dragon will be able to detect and latch on
to, but they don't need to even be of average intelligence.
What about the Disadvantages?
The disadvantage of not having any psionics in a trade where they're commonplace
is probably disadvantage enough. Also the fact that most "proper" Zekirans
aren't musclebound ogres...
These characters are more likely to be infertile than their powered counterparts. |
