Dragon Masters of Zekira
Character Creation
Status / Rank
Check
over each option carefully, and note the information given at the bottom
of the page
My Character should be fairly
rich, inheriting Land from a relative, someone with time on their hands
Status of Owner or Suzerain fall into this area.
Owners are
those who have been born into money. They are usually classified as the
"opposite" of Bonders because of their attitude toward work.
What's work? While most Owners do actually work for their money, some
simply squander a family's inheritance until it's gone, perhaps gambling
or buying expensive gifts for every partner that comes along. Though most
don't do that. They often have high-class jobs such as fashion designer
or model, rock star, high-profile jobs.
What makes an Owner very different from their Bonder counterpart is that
they actually OWN people. They are often given their first Slave as a
child, and usually those will grow up with them or be nannies all their
lives. The relationship between Owner and Slave is a balanced one. Most
Owners do truly appreciate the work their Slaves do, since they can't
be bothered to make their own beds or cook their own food... Some do abuse
the privelege, but those are often people who wind up destitute and in
Bond for the rest of their miserable lives, having had to sell not only
their Slaves, but their land and posessions...
How would an Owner become a Dragon master? They'd usually buy their way
into it. They could also have bought a bit of land which happens to be
good dragon grounding. Owners are often in the Dragon realm for sport,
rather than danger. Owners enjoy being in social offices, but are not
often in ones where they must actually DO much.
Suzerain are a step up from both Bonder and Owner. They are
often Bonders who make enough money to begin buying Slaves, or Owners
who have a distinct flair for actual business.
A Suzerain can own twice as many Slaves, and Bond twice as many Bonds
as either of the other Status. They often have a ton of land, which they
just sit on for ages waiting for it to "mature". In other words, waiting
until they have the right architect to create their dream Mansion...
Suzerain work hard to keep their money, a distinct change from Owners.
Slaves which are owned by a Suzerain are more likely to be bought and
sold quickly, rather than remaining in a family for generations.
How could a Suzerain become a Dragon Master? It's easy. They just do it.
They often have Psionics or mutations which allow them an advantage over
their counterparts elsewhere. Suzerain hold high office as often as their
High Holder counterparts, and often are very very good at it.
Things to remember about these Status
OWNERS
may hold from 400 to 600 Units
of land, and often they have something completely useless on it such as
a water park or show arena, betting areas are usually held by Owners.
They deal in money -- lots of it. They may Bond as well as Own, but most
Owners don't take the time to pay off lowlife's debts! They've got Slaves
to do their work and they don't even have to PAY them! Owners may start
with one or two Slaves, but they must also pay for their housing, food,
clothing and health services, as well as any education which the Slave
might require. They can usually have up to 10 Slaves.
Owners start at age 16 to 22. Their lifespan is around 150 to 240, they
live hard and fast.
SUZERAIN
may hold from 400 to 999 Units of Land, and while
they may have gigantic chunks of the countryside to their names, they
usually let that land sit for decades before doing much with it, and then
it's often just to sell it to another Suzerain... They can Bond or Own
up to 20 of each Status, and usually go through both quickly.
Suzerain are more experienced at a starting age of 21 to 25, and have
a lifespan around 160 to 250. |
