51-65 Mental
66-85 Environmental
86-100 Psychic

Use this chart to bias for the Dragon Tuned timeline
01-15 Enhancement
16-30 Animal Tuned
31-55 Dragon Tuned
56-70 Mental
71-85 Environmental
86-100 Psychic

Using this system (main = 35%, secondary = 20%, low 3 = 15%) any tilt on the chart may be found. When using the Dragon Tuned timeline, use the main = 25%, the other 5 categories get 15%. You could also adjust 25/20/15/15/15/10 if you really want to bias down one category but not remove it entirely.

Power Descriptions and Range/Controllability
Like most Animal Tuned powers, Dragon Tunings usually result from specific breeding towards such a goal. The mutations and disadvantages will be slid toward the draconic appearance, scales, fins, claws and the like, but also have a number of odd unique side effects as well. Those will be listed specifically with each power.

01-15 Dragon Empathy self only, uncontrolled
The Character can feel the immediate sensations that a nearby dragon is feeling, pain, hunger, etc. A Dragon Master or Breeder uses this ability to sense the mood of the dragon they are working with, if they are angry they’d best go back later. Dragons of every type DO feel actual emotions, unlike animals, so treat this power differently than the Animal Empathy version.
01-15 Dragon Telepathy targeted, controlled
A strong telepathic link between dragon and Master is absolutely essential for working with them. Especially for those who are riders, but as well for those who train or care for them. Dragons of all types can think in human terms, though they do not always have the vocabulary for real communication. Keep in mind the intelligence of the dragon being spoken to in this manner, to keep the realism going.
01-15 Control Dragon Emotion targeted, controlled
A single Dragon, usually the one which has been specifically hatched for the Master or Breeder, can be completely controlled similarly to the way the Mental “Emotion Control” works on humans. It can strongly sway or completely replace the emotional state of the dragon in question. Dragons can resist this, but if the person attempting to do this is their specific Master, they will be at –50% to attempt it. Attempting to control someone else’s dragon is at –20%, and can result in a combat of wills for the control.
Side Effects: The person using this power will be at a strong disadvantage against Animal Masters or other Dragon Masters who have the same ability. Treat them as if they have the “psychic target” mutation.

16-30 Sense Dragons self only, uncontrolled
This gives the mutant a permanent ability to feel when a dragon of any Type is present within a range of Power Rank in yards x6. It does not give them the ability to automatically find that dragon (though with their size, that shouldn’t ever be a problem). The reason this power is twice as strong in distance than the Animal Master power is that dragons already have a unique psionic signature to be sensed.
16-30 Locate Dragons self only, controlled
As above, but with the added ability that when the Character concentrates on it, they can locate the particular dragon or type of dragon they want, and it is at a range of PR in yards x4.
16-30 Identify Dragon Condition self only, controlled
When in proximity to a dragon (within Power Rank in yards) the character may be alerted to an actual physical condition such as pregnancy, injury, or better-than-average health. The actual condition may be identified completely by the Game Holder, any problems are exposed. This power is especially useful for Dragon Breeders, though their caretakers are also quite fond of it. It cannot be used on any other animals or humans.
Side Effects: More often than not, the character finds themself sensing every which dragon they’re near, since most are trained together. This may drive them a bit batty.

31-45 Sense Through Dragon targeted, controlled
With this ability, the user can cast their senses into a dragon and see, hear, taste and experience through it. They cannot control the actions of the dragon in question unless they have that ability. The range of the power is Power Rank in miles. This ability can be doubled in distance if the Dragon involved is specifically hatched for the user.
31-45 Use Dragon Ability self only, controlled
This ability gives a temporary function such as speed, health, flight or burrowing, night vision, etc. The duration of this ability is Power Rank in hours and can be skilled up to using it for one or more days. The dragon does need to be TOUCHED for the ability to be triggered. There are no obvious permanent changes to the user, but while they are activating the power they will take on some aspects of the dragon which uses it (use your imagination — big curved claws for digging, sprouted wings for flight, etc.)
31-45 Adopt Dragon Shape Temporary self only, controlled
As the above power, but this involves shapeshifting completely into a dragon shape, though with the size determined by PR (0 = 3x BT, 1 = 2x, 2 = 1.5, 3 and less = 1x). While in this shape, for a duration of Power Rank in hours, the character may only use mental communication or whatever they can get their new body to grunt out, they can only use whatever powers the dragon may have naturally (ie: NOT specific dragons bred powers), but they MAY use their own other powers at will (unlike the Animal Shape power). All the strengths and weaknesses of the chosen shape are for the character to discover. I’d recommend removing those expensive clothes before changing, by the way. This power is a form of shapeshifting that Dragon Masters and Breeders alike are fond of for their younger dragon hatchlings. The comfort of having someone do something to demonstrate before the dragon does it themself is strong, especially if the D’Master doesn’t have a “Train” power. However, there is always the risk of remaining in this shape longer by accident (permanently?) and slowly losing the ability to be human (and losing powers and intelligence/education because of it!). If this power is used too often, or for extended lengths of time, the Game Holder should determine a suitable ‘punishment’ for the character. If the length of time is exceeded, or the character tries to use it multiple times in a row to get a longer effect, that’s when the warning lights ought to be going on. Treat that portion of this power as a Side Effect.
Side Effects: As the Animal Tuned power, Major and Special versions of this power may enhance the lifespan of the character since this is essentially a shapeshifting ability.

46-50 Specific Dragon Trait self only, continuous
With this and the others of its type, choose the Type of dragon and a trait from its abilities. See Below.
46-50 General Dragon Traits self only, continuous
This ability includes either more of the dragon Type’s traits or multiple breeds. See Below.
46-50 Full Dragon Shape Permanent self only, continuous
The character for all the world looks just like a human-sized Dragon of the type which they represent. The traits listed below can be mixed and matched only with Game Holder’s permission, and are all very specific to certain Breeders. This power will NEVER occur in anyone of mixed breeding (ie: not specifically a character who is not a Dragon Master or Dragon Breeder). The difference between this power and the “Adopt Dragon Shape” power is that the character CAN somehow manage to speak in public and uses all their other powers at will, just as though they were only wearing some kind of elaborate costume. In most cases, the dragon form will be upright, rather than not, though the “naga” form of the Sea, Desert and Forest dragons is just as useful. Side Effects for this are listed directly, though they may not always show up, that is at Game Holder’s discretion.
Type of Dragon Traits Available (choose ONE for Specific, Two or Three for General, look up the dragons for the full monte)/ Disadvantages of full form (replace any rolled otherwise)
Desert Tail/Naga Shape, Hooded Neck (cobra), Poison Bite, Constriction, Camo Coloration, Speed movement, Desert Survival Ability; Hybernation, Short Lifespan, Low Intelligence, Smaller Size, Scaley Skin, Oversensitivity, Aggressive, No Arms/Legs
Forest Tail/Naga Shape, Feather Wings (flight size), Leathery Skin, Beak Bite, Crushing, Acid Attack; Brittle Bones, Moulting, Shy or Fear, No Arms
Sea Shark Skin (armor), Size (huge), Swimming, Fin Head/Back, Sonic Ability (echolocation/attack), Bite, Crushing Tail, Poison Spines; Cannot Breathe Air, Short Range for powers, Aggression
Sky Thick Skin (scaley), Leather Wings (flight) (Perhaps as Batwing mutation, since they are not extra limbs), Size (huge), Balancing Tail, Kick Attack, Flame Breath, Fire Resistance; Weak Bones or joints, Distractable, Overt Sexual Flirt
Stone Centaur Shape (if desired), Fur skin (armor), Beak Attack, Claw Attack, Poison/Spine Tail, Extra Limbs possible; Special Diet, Aggression, Angry and Hard to manage
Swamp Armored Skin (alligator), Bite Attack, Swimming, Centaur Shape (if Desired), Fin possible, Size (large), Long Lifespan; Overprotective, Aggressive, Hard time walking (short legs, heavy weight on land)

51-60 One Type Dragon Training targeted, controlled
With this power, the character establishes a complete telepathic bond with one single dragon at a time in order to train it to do something. The complexity of the effect determines the time taken to use this power: everyday and easy = Power Rank in Hours, Moderate and Tough = PR in hours x 2, Darn Tough= PR in Days (about eighteen hours per session), Extremely or Impossibly Tough = PR in Days x2. The Dragon Master or Breeder must be in close proximity for this power to work (PR in yards). This power only works on a single type of dragon, specified at character generation, and NEVER can be made to apply to another type.
51-60 Multiple Types of Dragon Training targeted, controlled
As the prior power, only the types may be multiple (PR 0 = 4 Types, 1 = 3 Types, 2 = 2 Types, 3 + cannot). The Range that this level of this power can be used at is PR in yards.
51-60 Train All Types of Dragon targeted, controlled
As the above power, but the character need not specify any types, they can do this to ALL types of dragons, even ones which have not been described here (or are created during game play by other characters/npcs). The Range which this power can be used at this level of ability is PR in miles.
Side Effects: A strong attachment to the dragon in question while being trained. So if the dragon is not the character’s, only being trained FOR someone else, the end of the training may be traumatic.

61-70 Minor Dragon Healing targeted, controlled
This Power can heal up to 8 point wounds on a Dragon ONLY, within Power Rank in minutes. Wounds over 9 points take two times longer for each 8-point rank. Dragon might try to contest this with a Power skill roll, if they really don’t want to be healed. This power cannot ever be used on any other animals or humans, unless the person (including the character using the power) has Dragon genes in their makeup.
61-70 Major Dragon Healing targeted, controlled
Wounds up to 16 points on a Dragon ONLY, are healed within minutes, as above, in 16 point increments over that is half again as long. A good solid knowledge of Dragon anatomy will help aid Major healing, since it is often called upon to deal with specific major injuries. Each dragon type has its own problems and structure, and this power is usually only used by Dragon Breeders. It cannot ever be used on animals or humans with no dragon genes.
61-70 Regenerate Dragon targeted, controlled
Given enough time and rest, and care that is taken to keep both Dragon and Character safe, wounds up to the full Body Type of the healer may be healed. 10 points of damage per 1 hour spent are completely, totally regenerated: a tail can be re-made in a matter of hours. Limbs, wings, and such can all be reattached with this power, including ones in heavily mutilated condition. Poisons and such can be cleansed from the system easily, though that takes concentration AND a knowledge of the effects of poisons or substances. This power can only be made to work on Dragons, and humans or other animals who have distinct dragon genes.
Side Effects: This power has few side effects except that it leaves the user totally drained while they are working. The output of mind over matter is a difficult thing, in any case, and in this one since dragons are much larger than humans, it is even more so. Unlike the other version of this power, it does NOT apply to the longevity of the character.

71-75 Minor Dragon Hurting targeted, controlled
As with Healing, but in reverse. For every PR the user can inflict 8 points per attack. The dragon in question may contest or use a power to block this power, but the one with the stronger Power Rank wins, usually, and if the dragon is already otherwise attached to the user, they cannot block it at all. In some cases, this power is used to control particularly stupid or aggressive dragons, but it is not really encouraged.
71-75 Major Dragon Hurting targeted, controlled
As above, 16 points may be inflicted in the form of decrepitude, blistering or other such damage. As above, the dragon may try to resist. The time to use this ability is when a dragon has turned on its keeper or breeder, or has gone completely off the deep end so to speak and is causing more damage than it ought. It usually subdues a dragon quickly, and then other measures can be taken.
71-75 Kill Dragon targeted, controlled
Why would you ever want to do this? Because sometimes, killing is a mercy to a fighting dragon. For every PR the user can inflict 20 points of permanent, unhealable damage. If they know anatomy of the dragon in question they may direct this to a location specifically, and make mercy killing far easier than just slapping power around. It is rare to find anyone using this power but rogues may use it, and it can also be spread among PR in targets, with the damaged spread evenly between the dragons. (A “drill sergeant” training a large number of dragons who really don’t want to learn…)
Side Effects: users of this power may become addicted to using it. (Hence, drill sergeant reference above.) It is a particularly cruel thing to even think of, but some people just like doing it more than others. This power may encourage other bad behavior including homicidal mania and such. If used carefully, this will never be a problem.

76-85 Dragon Genesense self only, controlled or un-
This ability mirrors the Psychic power Genesense, though it only applies to dragons and their kin. It applies to anyone with dragon genes mixed in, though the character will not be able to determine the uses of anything but the specifically draconic genes. Breeders use this constantly, it is very rare to be found in anyone else.
76-85 Minor Dragon Gene Alteration targeted, controlled
An ability coupled with the above Sense, the Character is able to move around some of the defective genes they find, or cause certain ones to spontaneously change. The number of changes they may make is Power Rank x 2, at any given session. Again used mainly by Breeders. When used on a dragon’s egg form, it can be very wonderful. If used on hatched or adult dragons, the effects are quite painful though they do take effect. Any minor alterations can include skin or scale manipulation, colors, choosing between certain abilities which are included in a dragon’s Type, etc. They CANNOT be used to make one type of dragon into another, and they cannot be used on anything other than a dragon or its genetically infused kin. It is not one-hundred percent likely that the altered genetics will continue to be represented in the offspring of dragons so altered.
76-85 Dragon’s Genetic Manipulation targeted, controlled
Dragon Breeders use this power when all else has failed, or if they are intent on creating a new type of dragon. In game terms, the character can take PR in targets at a time for alleles they wish to alter into a specific way. They can completely remake a dragon into something new, over time. In visual terms, this MUST be done at the time of egg or foetus stage, unless the dragon wishes to have it done to them while an adult. It is remarkably painful, and causes more mental and emotional scars than one would really want in a dragon. It can only be used on dragons, their direct kin, and those humans with infused dragon genes. The effects are permanent and carry through to the offspring of any altered with this power.
Side Effects: Most characters with this ability find themselves looking at everything and every one in terms of whether they’re dragon kin or not. They may become obsessed with dragons, or reviled by them. They may also become an enemy of one, if they aren’t certain the dragon wishes to be altered.

86-95 Apply One Power to Dragon targeted, controlled
This power is unique among Dragon Masters and Dragon Breeders. With it, the character may take any one of their own personal powers (only those powers which either require activation or are temporary in nature – permanent alterations such as lifespan and enhancements to original stats do NOT count) and apply them for use by the dragon. It means that if your character can become invisible, the dragon can too. They may only do it so long as the character is concentrating on the power, and using it themself. They cannot then use something else in the meantime, whatever power is on, is ON. This can be skilled into multiple use for the character, though it cannot become a skill for the dragon.
86-95 Share Powers With Dragon targeted, controlled
Unlike the Minor version of this power, the character can automatically link up to their dragon, and use their power through it, without having to have the power on themself. The powers are still limited as above by activation or permanence. With continual use, the power can become much easier to use.
86-95 Switch Powers With Dragon targeted, controlled
The dragon and master pair can freely use each other’s powers. When in proximity (human’s PR in yards) the dragon can access their master’s abilities, and whatever the dragon can do (that is not an innate ability but a power) the Dragon master can use. If the character has this Special ability, decide with the Game Holder how the effects can play out, including exhaustion rate for using a dragon’s ability.
Side Effects: Anyone’s dragon can be the victim of this power, by the way… But it also takes a smart dragon to figure out how to use a human’s abilities, if they have not been trained to do so. The dragon may become addicted to the use of the human’s powers, and that can be bad… Very Very Bad.

96-100 Dragon Affinity self only, uncontrolled
This is a similar power to both Mutant Affinity and Locate Dragon, however it works only on dragon kind. With it, the user can detect within PR in miles, the mental presence of dragons of any type, figure out what Type that is, though they cannot control, enter or communicate with them. They can sense exactly where they are, but this also leads to a complication: the dragons also always know where the character using this ability is…
96-100 Sense Dragon Powers self only, controlled
At a PR in feet, the user of this power can determine the powers that the dragon can use. This is very handy when choosing partners for unhatched eggs, especially when combined with Genesense or Mutant Affinity type abilities in Breeders. This power doesn’t convey any ability to use or change these powers, only determine them and how strong they will eventually become, including latency (which is very rare in dragons).
96-100 Coordinate Dragon Powers targeted, controlled
With this power, a Dragon Breeder and Dragon Master manage to take the best of everything and put them together. When supervising dragon breeding, in the natural format, they can choose the best mates to produce specific results. This power specifically works on dragons, their kin, and also on genetically altered humans – any one of 6th degree breeding or if lower, ones with specific dragon genes. They make the very best choices when pairing Masters to their dragons, bar none. They are often also used to create teams of dragons, so that the powers will compliment each other or be made stronger in proximity. This power is rather unlikely to help anyone but a Dragon Breeder, and it is a long term based power in terms of game play.
Side Effects: being able to sense dragons is nice. But not all the time. Isolation from time to time is a benefit, if the character has the option of removing from the dragons presence. If not… Slowly but surely, they will become a bit twitchy or easily angered, losing mental stability. Maybe it’s the constant mental pressure of dragons being around, but no one quite knows why this would happen. It does, though. Treat every 5 year period as a contest vs sanity, and if lost, lose 1d5 Sanity. It can be gained back, but only so much at a time…
