Sea Dragon site: Sumac and Saffron's Sea Stand

211 Units seaside and inland - seaside caverns and beaches have Sea Dragon facilities (large shell dome for hatching/pairing and research), while inland areas are Steed oriented and continue to produce fine racing Steeds as well as grounded workers.

Pairing Restrictions:

Must have seafaring knowledge, powers, physical compatability (must be able to swim/tolerate cold water/ breathe under water if possible?)

Sumac Tiir is the son of Narcissus Tiir and Salem, grandson of Lish Tiir and Morgontain on either of those sides of the family. He has four arms and keen senses - all of which he uses constantly while keeping track of their Dragons and Steeds. His skin is brightly golden, his hair is deep green, and his eyes are metallic gold in color. He is very charming, if a bit unusual looking. His angular face is framed by the fluff of his hair. With powers such as human telepathy and emotion control, Sumac could easily have become a High Holder. However with the advent of the invasion, his location ability and high intelligence have given him the edge he needs to produce good pairs with the sleek Sea dragons of their area.

Saffron Tiir is Sumac's daughter with the very famous and incredibly superior Mirage Marad. One hardly needs to look any farther than that for her pedigree! Saffron's namesake is also her skin tone, in a pale shade. Her hair is greeny black and short like her father's. Her eyes are metallic violet in color, and are always able to catch the slightest detail. While she started her Animal Mastery career doing basic 'pet walking' work, the invading forces brought out a strong Dragon and Animal tuning in her genes. Not only can she locate and sense animals and dragons, but she can specifically identify mutants, human genes, and control all animals including most dragon kind. Her mind control and telepathy are far stronger than her father's. She too has four arms, and stylishly displays them in functional dragon-tending clothing.

The facilities that this father and daughter team run are quite well placed on the southern face of Aakal's rocky coast. While only a portion of the Units are fully sea-coast, that portion looks out onto its own small bay. The shallowest areas of the beach let into a large shell-domed building that houses seawater hatching beds. A long, sandy stretch of beach allows the smaller of their Sea dragon cows to lay their eggs and have them collected by the DragonMasters. Those eggs then mature in the safe tide-free dome. When they hatch, their pairs are often on hand, but may not remove the dragonets until they are of a sufficient size. Only those people whom the pair determine are level headed, good swimmers, and capable of training or handling these big dragons will be allowed to pair at their Hatchery.

An average of 6 Sea dragons per season will be hatched here. Their dragons are normally slender, darkly colored with few bright markings. Typically Aakal dragons come in slate, dark blues, dark greens and black, with mottled markings on their back and fins. S4 dragons often have extra fins or barbed poison tips on their tails, and are quite fast in the chilly waters of the south.
