Lethe was rearranging the plush toys on her couch one afternoon after classes, and realized that one of them was both much larger, and more... warm, than the others. But it fit right in, pale coloration and fluff... It yawned, then looked around in confusion until its yellow colored eyes fell upon the reason for being so rudely awakened.

While the flappy cat stretched and yawned again, it was only to the point of curling back to sleep in another direction. But Lethe noticed that her big rust-red ears kept 'glancing back' where she was.

"Okay, okay, soft kitty, you can stay there. I'll work around you. But I reserve the right to scritch that fluffy neck of yours."

As if to seal that deal, 'Softness' tolerated said scritches and gave off a modest little meep before flexing away from the woman's hand. "That's all I get huh? Well it's better than nothing."
