Taniwha and Fevuu'de

Size/Shoulder/Length: medium-small (long) 55' long at adulthood, around 6'6" 'wing'span
Colors: body mainly white with a faintly lavender tint, with purple stripes, and heliotrope with purple fins; claws dark, eyes glowing yellow
Features: Sea Demon hybrid, very narrow sinuous body with two arm flippers and added fins behind them, no legs, no other wings; head is long and narrow with a forward-jutting maw and obvious chompers, long jaw feelers, and a high segmented webbed crest; fin crests alternate with claw on ends and without; tail is vertically oriented and has two added feelers; do not require a bond, can sponsor or bond other dragons
Powers: Water Adapted - obviously unable to fly or move about very easily on land, Taniwha keeps herself busy deep below the waves... or near the shore, she's discovered how interesting the waters are here on the 'West Coast' of Twoarth. She is capable of descending to the bottom of a very deep ocean, or remaining near its shallows, and as such her tolerance for a variety of conditions is obvious - pressure, chill or warm water, darkness, and obviously being able to breathe under the sea - all of these are 'nothing special' to her. She does enjoy swimming against a strong current, and the odd turbulance below some of this world's waves are a thrill to her.
Telepathic Communication
able to sense and communicate with other intelligent minds, though most of the time this is limited to the shoreline where she finds all manner of those minds. But deep below those waves there are definitely others, and perhaps she'll meet them some day. Whales, dolphins, superintelligent but short-lived octos, and even water-adapted humanoids from the 'fur-side' of this world, all show up on her mental radar. She seems quite smart but not particularly educated, and has begun lingering near the Ontogeny Dome by Crescent City, where scientists from other planets and dimensions teach classes.

Other Info: She seems to take strongly after her mother in attitude and intelligence, her fierce appearance is tempered by her curiosity and protective nature. There have been ships damaged or thought lost at sea, which she's helped nudge their crew to safety, so she's begun making a name for herself out in the ocean as well as nearer the shores.

There came a time when Taniwha felt something odd - odder than the batch of students in their submarine toodling around the upper Trench for their Marine Biology class. No, this was ... bigger, having an energy about it.
It felt also faintly familiar, the chemical scent that came to her feelers was deep-seated in her memory. "home" was the feeling she ascribed. How odd.
She'd never seen such a dragon though, 'at home', on Tris'Hath. What little she remembered of the place served only to tell her that this was a dragon, not a base animal, and he had come from the same world that she'd been hatched upon. Maybe he recognized that in her?
She swam, sinuous, hesitant but curious, on the tugging current and eventually the tide above. He was checking the place out, making note of the sky, the single moon, the presense of humanoids and minds. She wasn't attempting to cloak her presence from him, as he'd clearly started finding the other dragons in the Crescent City area. They gave a ping, she felt it and acknowledged: there is a newcomer in the sea. She left out that other thought, a more private 'and he's a hunk!'

Colors: Teal, Aquamarine, and Sky Blues, a lovely mixture of light and dark mottled and marked teal overall, with the brighter addition of bioluminescent paler blue
Features: half Anglerfish Dragon, half Naiad ameriurus, They don't have a bonding instinct but can be the recipient of a bond.
Amphibious (gills & lungs) technically Fevuu'de is capable of going to the surface, but he very rarely does so
Bioluminescence, his brightly blue shaded lighting flickers gently when he's calm, erratically when he's hunting to emulate the movement of 'something' to draw in prey, and strongly in bold patterns when he's defending territory (he knows he doesn't have to defend Taniwha, but while she's down in the trench he can patrol above it)
Deep Water Adaptation, vastly prefers the darker deeper portions of Twoarth's oceans, but there is such a place quite near the skinside-west coast, where the continental shelf drops away very abruptly. This intrigues both of these sea dragons, because it allows them to enjoy their dark and high-pressure lifestyle at the same time as being easily able to view and visit the shallower areas where all those 'people' are
Powers: Deep Swimming, Fevuu'de is not the sleek sinuous type, he goes into an area with a calm determination and a presence that other creatures can feel. Though he can move quickly in open waters, he prefers the stately, unbothered glide of a predator with basically nothing above it on the food chain. He uses his bioluminescence to both attract attention as well as display his warnings, anything that thinks 'yummy let's chomp at that' will become dinner, anything else can come closer but realize that isn't just a shiny jelly oh let's not. He does feel more comfortable below, as the few times he's been up at the shore itself he has to lumber and feels like he's 'ungainly', and that is something he does not want to be called!
Bioelectric Sense, with a hunting and protective power he can sense creatures that produce electrical impulses, usually ones around 3 feet long or more, smaller things are 'popcorn' to his stomach... He senses them at a reasonable distance, up to 200 meters, but this doesn't necessarily mean they're a quick sprint in one direction, so knowing the area makes all the difference. Generally he'll hunt in more open waters with this technique, knowing that crashing into a wall of rock below is going to get Taniwha laughing at him...
Telepathy, though he can screech and bellow and make those super-low-frequency sounds whales or other creatures of the deep make, those only convey so much if you're not singing an hour-long song. Even in the absolute darkness in the trench, he and Taniwha know exactly where they are, both in relation to one another, and triangulated against that nebulous Ontogeny Dome thing. She really likes that place, he's not as fond of it, but things come from it that pique his curiosity too!
Affirm Logic: By closing their eyes and concentrating extremely hard on something they desire, they can teleport it directly in front of them, provided it already existed nearby. It is not clear whether this brought him into proximity to a portal, but he did feel a distinct pressure change when moving between Tris'Hath and Twoarth. He and Taniwha patrol areas when there has been a storm, able to home in on people who may be drifting, and with this power they may be collected up and brought to safety

Other Info: Fevuu'de came through whatever mysterious and magical portal and emerged with a surprised dragon to greet him. Taniwha was also in the middle of 'looking for something', but hadn't realized it would be a strong sleek dragon! Oh that definitely inflated his ego quite a bit, and he tries very hard to live up to whatever Taniwha asks him to do. He's hardly a servant, they both spend time pointing things out to each other, following boats or digging up old treasures and bringing them back to the shore. They're well suited to each other's company.
