original from page in /carramba; being updated 7.22.26 She came from almost nowhere - looking exactly as she does now. Perhaps she walked from an orphanage, or she was abandoned by her parents at an early age: she will not talk about her childhood with a stoic frown and gritted teeth. She's nice enough, and friendly here because most folks in the school hardly notice that she's blue, icy looking, and has those ... things... on her head and shoulders. A number of guys in fact have told her they like them - but she discounts those words as an attempt to be mean to her later. Beatrix does not appear to be a terribly happy girl, but she's going to be okay. Beatrix devotes a lot of time to practicing her powers, and as such has developed a routine for combat that even some of the instructors have perked up to watch. But when asked to perform these routines and have others emulate them, Beatrix turns shy again and stubbornly refuses to allow a spotlight on her actions.
She seems almost endlessly patient with younger kids, expecially those found here in the School. Paragon is filled with interesting people, perhaps she hopes that the kids who see her and don't see a monster, are the ones who will build the better future that she didn't get to enjoy. Seemingly a creature of contradicitons, Beatrix is not the best student of brainy matters. She'd hardly be an honor roll student, though largely because she won't get up in front of people to speak unless truly prodded by an instructor or one of her few friends. She studies hard, and gets B's and high C's, but she's no genius. Perhaps that is why she's willing to don a 'mask' and go out to learn how to fight crime in Paragon City. With the anonymity that being a 'hero' brings, she does feel much more comfortable. She was put almost impossibly on the spot when the other school's reps came, and those dragons... They chose HER of all people to go with them to look for a dragon? Why?! But shortly, she discovered why. The dragons she saw were quite large, very impressive beasts. Beastly they were not - they had a strong social structure, and she had to admit she was a bit intimidated by the leadership. But then a brown colored dragon with frills atop his head approached her. I will choose you, we will do dramatic things, my Molten. Surprised to find the mental contact so smooth, easy to understand, Beatrix smiled widely. She nodded, reached her hand out and touched the dragon that called her 'bond'. ** 2026 Originally Snisk might have been intending to be more active however there's zero info online about this species, and thus this is a relic. Snisk still exists and is still apparently bonded, but is dedicating his time to helping the research efforts of the Pepper family, while Beatrix is being a hero. He is a 'Mage' class, though whether that means he can actively spellcast or merely has powers that emulate that, only he knows. When they are needed for a larger team event, however, Snisk boldly flies overhead to help move people in and out of an area. He knows, however, that she deserves a more bold and appropriately-skilled dragon to team up with, and will be happily on board with accepting another to their group. ** Operating out of Talon City with a strong supply of folks from Crescent to the south, the Professor Pepper's Science Power Hour team spotted Beatrix and her dragon and realized their potential even if they didn't. Beatrix didn't like being in the spotlight, but she did still have it in her to be a mentor and guiding light for younger kids with odd mutations. Always inclusive, Quincy and his family set up meetings for her to tour their educational facilities. Not just laboratories and mad-science castles, but science learning centers for kids, teens, and even adults. And though Beatrix is still not really 'all that into' the science part, she definitely enjoys presenting at the youth center. When she knows the script, and when there are young kids who positively light up at seeing her unusual face and armor, her personality has grown much more since her earlier, sullen and isolated, days. She and some of the other Paragon Studies teens found ... or more accurately were found by a whole flock of Draca, from Tris-Hath, and this lovely blue female came to Beatrix. Named Depthstone for her blue coloration, this chatty creature keeps the kids from wandering around the Science Center unattended and will nudge them back to the group when needed. |
