While he is not a sidekick, he's not always the star of any given show - he is a DJ not a musician himself (he can sing, yodel, howl, and shout, but doesn't play an instrument beyond the equipment for his DJ shows). As Sparkledog he will come on the scene to keep onlookers to a minimum, while the 'heavy hitters' do the 'real' heroic work. He doesn't feel like he's got powers or the guts to actually go fight villains. Maybe arrest small time street thugs, sure, but his focus isn't being like the leaders that he looks up to.

His own dragon partner does sort of consider the furry DJ 'his' sidekick. It's a running gag between them, ... or is it?

His first bar there is his inherent 'sparkle', a genetically enhanced power to produce light, focus it a little, camouflage, and the like

Sparkle! - Adonis has physical properties that make his entire coat shine with a holographic shimmer, it's genetically engineered but it is a known mutation among some from Twoarth's Fur-Side lines. With a thick double-coated pile of this, there is enough of what can call 'metal' or 'crystal' in the fur that you could in theory harvest some of it, and when he hasn't been properly groomed in a while (which... well it does happen, sometimes he's very busy!) he might even show up on a metal detector. This isn't conductive metal, however, and yes villains have attempted to use that thinking it would work...

Focus Points - His specific mutation does allow him to ruffle that fur in very specific ways with either tiny movement of muscles in the skin, or telekinetic ability (it's likely a combination of those things). With this he can produce actual holographic illusions on the surface or subsurface fur. Since he is a very fluffy type, and they get a pass for walking around with minimal clothing so long as everything 'vital' is tucked or not visible, he has a full canvas of fluff that he can use to display bright coloration, flickering lines and dots, or he can go nearly invisible when he's in an area with a simple or plain coloration (industrial walls, cement, plain painted areas). His fur normally is pale grey, so all those colors on his fur are very easily seen! He most often is nearly-naked at his DJ Donnie Zip shows.

Technology and Gadgetry - Because he does go out with the big hitters and important heroes, as well as with instruction groups and young kids, as Sparkledog he has adopted a set of very light weight but advanced armor pieces that can amplify his coloration and light bending. He's tuned special sensors in the armor to detect those tiny movements of his skin, fur, and telekinesis so they respond with amplification up to 50 times as strong - meaning what might go off on his fur as a pulsing night-light in a club, can effectively blind anything with eyes in a 100 meter sphere. Though he can only use this defensively, he has developed special methods to signal, pulsing from one armored fist to the other in waves for a "this way" arrow, bright and bold colors to indicate stop and go, and even spell things out in careful sequences. Yes he can spell with his fur already! The armor offers a field of activity rather than just the fur itself (though his fur does glow very gently about 1cm away too) so if he really needs to get involved in a fray, he can still safely move around like a brightly lit pinball to distract enemies for others to deal with

Engineering and Technology +5 Adonis really is a brilliant engineer, though he's met people (usually old humans) who scoff at the uses he likes to put it all to. While they're off trying to make weapons or spaceships, he's working on sound stages and close range communications for heroes and musicians... and also he's making bank on those things so kindly stfu old man...

Musical Expertise +3 as stated above, he doesn't actually play an instrument, but he can hum or sing virtually anything he's heard, and can actually compose if he sets his mind to it. He uses this knowledge and skill to bring life into any shindig (okay maybe not to a wake, but... maaaaybe?) and can get the crowd hopping or swaying or cheering with just his skillful mixes and dubs, no lightshow needed - but that's there too if it is appropriate

Color and Communication Theory +3 you know how they keep telling you dogs are colorblind, well Kin canines aren't usually so please stop with that stereotype? He sees in brilliant colors and has incredible control over his fur (and skin: yes, they did an experiment after gently removing all of his fur... once) so when he wants to literally spell out the name of the piece he's playing when someone shouts out, he can do that backwards on his fur as a marquee for them to read...

Heroics: Spot The Weak Points +4 When he's on patrol with any group or paired up with a new hero to test them, Sparkledog will keep watch like the herder of his mother's line, and make notes like his little fox dad. He can keep up with speedsters reasonably well when he's got the right equipment, though he's not above using remote drones and VR headgear. If there's an event of any size that requires people be shuffled around, he'll be checking for exits, where glass will break, what is likely to topple on passers-by, and either send someone to make sure those things remain intact, or herd folks away from them; when helping out with the instruction, he will let the young hero do their thing first, and the class will decide whether the weak points would have caused damage

DJ: Read the Room +4 surveying a crowd he can keep them energized but not exhausted, putting just the right beat under a savage tune, or a soothing sway when people need a breather. He can also help point out anyone in need, though he tends to do this more subtly than just blurting something out when a person has fallen or seems distressed - he knows they don't want more attention, they need help maybe getting out or taking a rest!

Techie: If You Build It They Will Cheer +4 he's developed sound equipment that responds to temperature, flexes with impact or detects pressure, and is working on an interactive venue space fit for both parties and heroic training! Cleaning Service On Speed-Dial +/-3 Yes, he does really have a professional cleaning service that deals almost entirely with 'weird fur, scales, feathers' left behind at parties, raves, or just in general. Heck they even clean up the prints and stains. He has this deal with them, don't worry. Just... don't be around the place until they give you the all-clear since you've got that allergy

Functional Fidget Spinner +3 when he's helping teach or observe, he knows there are bored kids somewhere needing distraction or to pay attention to what's 'really' being taught. In a class environment he will have a 'display mode' for those wanting to watch him rather than the work being done, anyone that's bored in fact, showing off hints and tips or a simple display of words. There's no time his fur isn't doing stuff anyway, why not make it consciously worth watching?

Grooming Tech +3 Before he leaves for work of any sort, he just has to go through a doorway that he's fit with a particular blend of gadgets (which his cleaning service really wants to invest in, go figure) (they can hook up with housing developers too let's not mince words Twoarth needs this kind of tech) that filter any stray fur and blow down mats and stuff brushed the wrong way at a rave. He doesn't always look flawless, but when he wants to look extra, extra sharp, that once-over is essential. If anything, this will make him millions once he puts his mind to marketing it...

Powers: Winged Flight - who better to team up with Sparkledog than an equally sparkly dragon? Veren simply loves how well they go together, and with Veren's flight and size, they can take their shows on the road without ever touching 'a' road! He has specially fitted harness containers for the DJ and sound equipment, and can carry an entire school bus worth of people or gear, as long as stuff is adequately packed. He flies without this stuff at an incredible speed, and a wingspan of a 737 jet plane, and yes, he absolutely has been mistaken for a jet plane if he's out there at cruising altitude. He doesn't seem to take any damage from being up just barely under the top of the breathable atmosphere, but will definitely fly much lower if there are people with him. Also he does need a reasonable bit of space to take off and land, which is why he tends to teleport upwards first
*Teleportation local, nexus, known locations - though he prefers to fly in local areas Veren is still capable of instantly moving from one spot to another, in up to 10 mile jaunts locally. He can do this much more distantly if he knows a particular landing spot, and is apt to wander from one dimension to another when he's bored, but always comes back home. As above, he needs space to take off so he often just looks up to check for any aerial traffic, zips straight into the sky, and then unfurls his great wings
Verbal Speech and *Telepathy - there is an edge to his mental energy, shiny and sparkling and slightly busy like an opal, and when he gets excited it bubbles up to 'static'. His speaking voice is strong, and since he's as tall as he is, he likes to move his head and neck around - while invisible - and 'speak to people' who do not know he's even there. No his legs aren't really trees and no his wings aren't actually a building wall but those walls have eyes... he likes spooking people
Light Illusions and Invisibility - has very strong abilities with light, bend, brighten or dim, strobe or pattern, illuminate only the One Person in the theater who remembers the words to this song, and even create animated but obviously-light constructs to encourage a crowd. He treats his wingsails as his very own canvas for these illusions, and at the same time, can cause his whole body go become nearly transparent. He'll keep this up for an hour or so, get a little rest, have some water, and be right back at it for the second part of the set
Laser Eyes - this seems to be his 'unique to him' ability, but with all the lights and dazzling sparkles, why not? They're technically superheroes right? And superheroes can shoot lasers from their eyes? Honestly he has the ability to create brilliant beams of nearly-white light from his eyes, but they're not technically lasers unless he squints. His eyes are the size of softballs, after all, so those beams are effectively Hollywood spotlights at shows. They are hot enough to burn moths and flies but he doesn't stand around staring long enough to do any further damage with them
Dragon-Humanoid Shapeshifting - Veren can shapeshift but it is extremely taxing on his endurance. But he can show up to an event on two feet, leave or become invisible, and show up again on the wing. His typical bipedal appearance is 'lanky and pale like a violet-tinted Edward Scissorhands including the mop of unruly hair. His big wings are his best draconic feature, though, so he will usually try and keep them at least to a degree, and the tail he likes the tail... Who are we kidding, he can become humanoid but pfff. When he's this amazing as a dragon? Why would he?
Indestructable Claws - as the go-getter part of the duo, Veren has been sternly cautioned that any damage that gets done in town thanks to these massive blades will have to come out of Adonis' paycheck. They're kept from doing real damage when just walking around town or hanging out in the park, by the use of gel-pads that can keep the worst of it to a minimum, but so far there are times such as 'taking off from a stone surface' that the sharpness of those claws exceeds the capacity, leaving odd gouges and an amount of slightly-glittery blue goo behind
*Telekinesis - this is of tremendous use when you have 4-foot-long sabers on your hands, and he can use this to keep items or people from slipping off his back or neck while flying, and also can set down equipment they've been carrying without having to handle it with his claws. This is a pretty strong version of the power, but it is close-range, working only less than 10 feet from his form, but he can feel weight and balance things though not textures or other features through it
