Taylee was thrilled to be at Vella Crean. She'd heard about it through her connections, namely the Pavehs and Sangers. She was foisted off immediately at Shy, the resident mad scientist. Though he was a little weird, she liked him right off. He reminded her of a lot of folks back home.

Including herself? Sure. Why not?

She was taken to the sands when the hatching was imminent. Everyone entered in a clump, it was hard to see. Taylee wasn't as tall as some of the other candidates. The first of the eggs exploded loudly as the hatchling within got out. Some folks were stunned, gasping at the bloody red face that it had. But it wasn't bleeding after all - it was marked with a red coloration. One which the locals insisted was now "the Blood Court". Whatever that meant.

She'd learn later. For now, Taylee felt something strange going on on the sands. Two eggs broke open at once, and both were Blood courts. One was green, the other red.

But Taylee knew which was hers - she was Green after all wasn't she?

“Has Shy been trying to take advantage of you?” the hatchling asked with a cocky smile. It was true—it seemed Shy was blissfully happy with all these talents arriving at the Vella Crean. “Don't worry, I'm Hakgyoth…and I'll protect you.”

Taylee laughed, "Of course Hakgyoth, but I like it when strange scientists want to do experiments with me!"

She helped her beautiful blood-stained hatchling to the food, and winked at Shy when he looked at them.
