Tamsin and her brother Thomas are destined to be superheroes. So say every administrator and hero they have met. Their mother Tanya might have disagreed, but she knew their powers would surface sooner or later. It was shame that she had to die before they did. However, raised by the state for only a year or two, the pair of siblings have learned to use what strange abilities they do have to a strong extent.

Tamsin's ability to amplify the powers of someone nearby work on almost anything: Superhero powers, magic, telepathy and psionics, even genetic alterations.

For that reason, her Powers class is her favorite, because she always gets to play around with a new method of working with others. The worst nightmare she has, though, is the class before it two days a week: Realtime Geometry. She is really bad with angles, at least ones which can be measured by instruments.

Tamsin is standing at Tripaldi's Avian Frenzy

Though there was some distress among the hatchlings attending the Avian Frenzy's first bonding ceremony, everything looked like it was going to be a bit more smooth when the leadership arrived. As Tamsin and more than a dozen others arrived, the squabbling hatchlings calmed. Mostly.

Tamsin had not been able to attend the meetings designed to acquaint the hatchlings and their bonds. Even so, though, she felt a strong pride when the second of the brave little gryphlets stepped toward her. He was a proud looking little red and blue, who gazed at her with an appraising glassy eye.

"I know we have not met," he said to Tamsin, "but I have heard that you have the ability to augment another's powers. Is that right?"

Tamsin, taken aback that a hatchling gryphon could use the word 'augment' in a proper sentence, nodded. With a smile spreading across her face she watched as the gryphlet continued. “Well, I'm Noreax and though I love my powers, I'm not as strong in them as I'd like. But I am capable of forming the bond between us, if you don't mind.”

Tamsin was of course delighted to allow the bond to be placed and Noreax did so quickly and efficiently. Once the bond was complete he too sat down before his chosen bond.

While the others were busy hatching, emerging, or walking up to their chosen, Tamsin leaned in to her new lovely Noreax. "Just be sure to stay clear of my brother. His power is to leech it away from others... I'm pretty sure you don't want that."

Noreax shook his beaked head, and at last they were allowed to leave and eat.

Noreax grew quickly enough that the dragoning classes were not going to keep up with his rapid pace. But still, they hung out watching and learning none the less.

"I am amazed at how much ... care and upkeep those things require." Noreax muttered. He himself was busy preening away and occasional feathers would drift down to the ground below him. Moulting would come as a harsh surprise for him, now wouldn't it...

"Well, they're made for fighting. You're made for magic and that's great by me!" Tamsin laughed. She then picked up a couple of the discarded bright red and blue feathers, and handed them off to a pair of freshmen who had been begging her to use them in their art class. "Have fun," she called after them, and turned to see the big gryphon sitting proudly admiring himself in the reflection of a window nearby.

"Oh my gawd," Tamsin chuckled, chiding him, "you're totally just like Crazy Doc! Look at you!"

"Yes! Look at me!" He triumphantly announced.
