Linguist - any Human or Humanoid language can be learned by you in less than a year fluently, +3 Skill: ^Understand Any Basic Human Language (not complicated speech but the essences); she exploits this by pretending to not speak 'whatever that is' and listens in on a huge variety of conversations. She has also applied it to the basics of humanoid language, though this only reduces the time to around 3 years to fluency she's already tackled quite a few other bits and pieces.
Bookworm - if it's in the Library or on the 'net, you know exactly how to locate it, +3 ^Research Skill
Professional Whiner - add +1 to skills using RWP and +2 to those using Cool, excellent at Debate class
Note that all of her abilities may very well be due to a latent telepathic or empathic power, even though she or her direct family members are not actively 'heroic' they did come from one of the hotspots of heroic activity and there are often Unmarked Vans (tm) lurking around when she's out and about

Communications Expert +5 Everything she does centers around understanding people and information, and making others understand those things too. Both Fur and Skin side Engels have made her aware that she will definitely have a career available with Alabaster should she decide she'd like to work for them, and though she's politely declined for the time being, they also both know she will definitely be on board after getting the teenage rebel out of her system. She can be in a room with a group of angry soccer moms and stubborn park staff and have them agreeing to clean up each others lawns and go to the World Cup when she's through with them. Heck they will host the World Cup. And they will be happy about it... This does improve all further skill sets below, yes.

^Understand Any Basic Human(oid) Language +6/+3 (3) as above, with English as her primary language, but then Spanish, Azteca, Ute, Korean, Japanese, Russian, German, French, and Carnivore quite fluently before she even got to high school. After coming to the west coast, however, she's also started looking at Vortigaunt, Gagrakakan, Aelfin, Octopodish, and Zekiran as side ventures, and she will certainly be good enough to help translate or lead tour groups by the time she's 20 if she keeps all of that up (and she will, it's easy, she just keeps listening for context, which is certainly why she's already capable of understanding Vort). Do note though that learning to read and write any of these comes at a much more normal pace, so she doesn't pretend like she can write a thesis in any of them
^Research +5 (3) She's not a nerd, she qualifies what she likes to do as research-heavy, nonfiction, and information gathering. While she does read fiction, she much prefers to look up interesting facts about people, items, history, current events, and geography. She's an all-around expert student, really, though sometimes she does research a little too much and gets a high grade because the instructor simply can't prove otherwise
Singing and Keys +3 All her own work, all the time. She's so thankful for the others to be able to put music behind her lyrics, and though she's still not really that great with the keyboards by the time they're out of school she's sure that she'll be more than adequate. They don't want to pick up a fifth member, so she's taking lessons from those that couldn't teach Ruby...

Deliberate Rebellion +4 Any hint that she's 'sticking it to the man' is a purposeful move on her part, she knows from having read so much in the way of histories and social studies that people behave in very specific manners, and in order to tweak them, just do this and that...

Parents? |
Mother is a courtroom recordskeeper with a strong side of tax preparation in tax season
Father is a retired 'gadgeteer' whose exploits are very likely why the kids both seem to have unusual abilities as well as not looking like twins (they are, just... Ray wasn't exactly the same batch of samples)(you did not hear that from him) |
Siblings? |
Twin Brother Ray, he got all the physical stuff didn't he...
** Probably has clones or unknown siblings from Paragon, in fact one of them might even be at the school now in the form of the Protectors? |

Other Info |
Leona could be seen as a controlling bitch if she really wanted to be, but she will reserve that for after she becomes a lawyer, right? And everyone including herself knows that's where she's heading. As long as whatever 'latent' powers she has don't prevent this, that's why she's so intrigued by the Zekiran courts - they specifically train and allow telepathic interrogations... |
