*Heroic Abilities - Marva's powers come from some nebulous 'pool of knowledge' or 'From A Source' though she hasn't yet determined what that source IS. Her abilities function with or without 'a magical source' so they aren't actually magic, she's not a 'real' mage. However they aren't truly 'psionic' aside from the telekinesis, but it is possible that she is tapping into other people's experiences or abilities, if they've been used in the location around her before. She doesn't feel that these abilities are 'enough to become a hero' per-se, but they are definitely enough to get her performance gigs and pocket change when she needs to impress a group or get somewhere 'free'
Telekinetics - allows you to move things without touching them - this power is always-on, but she has taken it to an art (see below, +2 freebie cluster). Her power can only lift things less than 1 pound total, and only within about arms' reach. But that includes a pound of glitter, or a single-item like a ball, and she's remarkably delicate about things that are breakable so that one-pound item can be an expensive glass sculpture and it'll be picked up and replaced perfectly without a scratch (see Cluster below)
^Lose It - physical skills double for one round until exhausted - able to recognize 'that song' and just go off dancing, but can be applied to virtually anything requiring physical exertion. This doesn't apply to theoretical or non-physical effort, but that's what the next power is for! When she's watching a bus leave the stop she can push this into a speed boost, if something has fallen onto someone she will absolutely have the strength to lift it and put it aside. Need to collate, fold, stuff, lick and seal, and stamp 400 times and you needed it this morning? There you go! This ability lasts 'as long as immediately needed', she will slow down or become exhausted after a '5 minute dance jam' or if she has to push her speed running to its limit longer than a couple miles, and become 'normal paced' again
~InstaSkill - allot 3 points into any non-strength based skill, knack or cluster temporarily, one per day as needed. She imagines that favorite song and her mind and hands to into overdrive. Picking that locker with the broken lock? Done. Need two more pages worth of information and a sources list? Got it. She is incredibly good with 'cramming' for a test but also she's smart enough to retain most of what she's learned when it applies to her current interests. It applies to 'final' skill rather than 'raw power', so she still has to be able to do the function, rather than with Lose It which can allow her to do things well beyond her physical normal levels |

Dance Dance Dance +3 Marva is well versed at not just flailing around on a crowded rave patch, but with any solo, couple, or group dancing. Mostly from the modern era of (any)Earth, she's put effort into learning other cultures traditional dances, and is particularly enamored of those from entirely non-human groups like Vortigaunts and dragons. She can learn a single specific dance in an afternoon by combining her powers with this cluster, and might learn very complicated ones in less than a week as long as she has some form of instruction. That instruction can be in-person, cultural immersion while visiting a locale, or watching well-made videos. She can get a 'feel' for what a dance is going to be doing, if she can hear the music or words to any song that is played while it's meant to be performed
Make Floating Stuff Look Cool +2 It's no party trick, this is an always on power so why not use it to your advantage? She can 'drop what she's holding' and help out with all those scattered papers you just dropped, or make sure that there's no glitter left in the carpet after your little sisters made their glitter-covered-macaroni art. And yes, 'always on' means always on, even when she's sleeping, and it seems that this power may have originated as a defense mechanism since she lived in a location where there were mosquitoes or possibly other dangerous things apt to sneak up in the dark. She's tried to lift heavier things, and only in those 'wild emergencies' when her Lose It power kicks in, can she use it in a focused manner to help with that heavy lifting, otherwise it just Won't Do It
Bright Colors +2 She loves bright things, and it's possible that she is tetrachromic and able to see colors either differently or in better focus than most humans. She has a very good grasp on color theory for light, pigment, and texture-based color changes. So if she tells your group you need to add a little pop of yellow here or a splash of red there, you should probably do that, your party or important meeting will go better even if its in a subtle way |

Modeling +4 Marva is gorgeous, let's get that out of the way. She is by far one of the prettiest humans to walk the campus, and she does know it, but she doesn't flaunt that. Unless she needs to recruit people for an event that's struggling, then she definitely knows how to posture and pose just enough to grab attention. She has exceptional balance, grace, and presence on the runway, and can choose the right colors and effects thanks to her skills!
Attract Guests to Any Event +4 Also she's quite peppy! It isn't just that gorgeous-girl slow blink, or her ... assets, she is willing to get your info sorted and your goals on a checklist so that everyone is on the same page. Then, finds the best place to scout or recruit for those needs. Good at filtering out the ones that just won't work right for the event or group, but also good at letting those people go without them feeling either left out or shunned for it. Her gentle words 'I'm so sorry but we're full up today' won't sting as badly, but her 'you're in! let's go!' is quite a thrill for some!
Be Surprisingly Cordial +2 Marva knows how to act 'according to the custom', and will go to any length to make sure that those customs are respected. Stop chewing that gum this is a deposition, oh let's get that hair spritzed with glitter and yes your eyelashes are on perfectly now go slay queen. How big the event is, how many people are there, are you in the right venue, but also 'will there be noise complaints' and 'make sure that you don't touch this dignitary's hand they are phobic' - she knows the rules and executes them with exactly the amount of formality required |

Knows the Big Words +3 She'll be able to tutor kids on almost any subject, from deep-volcanic geology to astrophysics, and won't confuse or conflate them even when they're very similar. But she won't use those words out of a need to show off. She can hold her own with a group that's nerdy and trying to name their newly discovered plankton with a term from a role-playing game, as much as a high-society meeting of Zekirans discussing politics and trade law. But she is careful not to drop these words into casual conversation, they aren't for casuals, they're for trained professionals. She can and does pass the information from professionals and even sorts out how to explain the terms to laypeople when needed
Actually Care +2 She is not showing off. For real, she's here helping or doing study jams or tutoring or even being a diplomat because she honestly believes that her options are 'help those in need' and 'get involved'. Her family are heroes after all. She is no different! |
