Second Period Pandas
2nd Period class for a good number of students meant Rich McPanda's 'Genre-Based Fiction' studies. Mr McPanda, a friendly and sharply witty pandamorph, teaches a number of such interesting books as the Conan series, Narnia chronicles and the Body Dancing series. Each week of the one-semester class involves a new book or short story, and discussions while and after the class has read it. Keeping up with the reading is essential, as his courses are graded immediately and without extensive semester-end tests. (He hates tests!)
Study groups are formed for month-end discussions, talking about each separate 'genre' and examining their social and personal values.
One such group is here - and what fun they are gonna have when they learn that high-fantasy dragon riding books are going to walk right into their classroom soon enough...
