Dragon

Name: Sonyth (SEW knee ith, not so-nice)
Gender: Male
Size/Shoulder/Length: small, 5'10 shoulder bipedal (so around 7' at head but he's never actually upright like that) / 13' l / 4' ws
Colors: Blue, pale sky blue with slight grade to pale periwinkle slightly-violet blue here and there, metallic-ish, with faint lettering and code visible as patterns; wingsails and tail spade more metallic reflective much paler blue with periwinkle, with more visible code markings
Breed: Ostensibly Pernese, but heavily modified to include not requiring a bond mostly because he was so distracted by gaming he kinda forgot there even was a bond one time, and having lived in the Den and then moved to Twoarth he carries unassisted firebreath rather than assisted; his offspring will tend to be 'low Pernese ranked' for the most part, particularly if paired with a true Pernese, but also will have markings that are unusual for any breed
Features: Four legs, bipedal stance purely due to what he does with his hands in front; 4 digits, thumbs on fore, small claws; two leather wings with translucent sails, three visible fingers, but quite stunted (no he doesn't have just two on the far wing that's folded down); headknobs, faceted eyes which do need corrective lenses, tail spade
Powers: Supposedly Winged Flight - this power is severely stunted by the fact that he has such a girth and tiny lil' wings. He still uses them to flap and balance, and can cool himself and others off with their breeze, but they cannot even hope to break a fall should he actually find himself in a high place
Teleportation, local, genre, temporal - Sonyth is capable of moving short distances under 100 meters in the blink of an eye and usually does this to take quick pee breaks or grab another soda and bag of chips from the kitchen. He doesn't even need to tell anyone he's afk, since he's basically not leaving his controller alone more than half a second. He can also move between genres and dimensions, once he was asked to stop shouting when Baeris was trying to work on things... He definitely did learn where lots of their connected locales are from Dulath or other dragons, and while his ability to go through dimensions isn't the most stunning, he can make it out and back safely virtually anywhere he can imagine, and he often does wind up in his game dimension. And yes. Yes he does cheat using his ability to move back through time. Thing is he does this in a way that virtually no other dragon is likely to - he replaces himself, not overlaps. So there's never a time when he is 'twice' visible - he saw his own fat ass once, and decided that wasn't gonna happen again, no sir, so now he just up and becomes that same dragon in that spot, but with the knowledge he's had shortly in the future. This temporal power only works very short term, he can only port backwards and only about 10 seconds where he 'relives' that moment only knowing where to dodge or where that sniper in the game is hidden. No one would ever know he does this, it's seamless to anyone even physically watching him
Electric Teleportation - this is somewhat covered above in the way he can genrehop, but he can also choose specific locations that he detects through the actual electrical connections, including wirelessly if it's a strong enough signal. He does this carefully, he can zap himself from one part of the Den or CHS campus to the other as long as there's an outlet and free space, which somehow gets detected. He knows when not to move. Actually he probably cheats this aspect too, since he'd experimented and perhaps crashed into people, or uses his skillz to peek around with the local security cameras
Verbal Speech and Telepathy - you know he's playing a game. You know when he's winning, losing, sneaking around, ganking nubs, or any other aspect of his online life, because he narrates every fucking moment of it would you please shut the fuck up it is three in the morning Baeris is trying to SLEEP. He knows all the lingo, and all the slurs - and will smack people down when he recognizes them being used. You can play your game without insulting people's real life aspects you assholes. He doesn't sound like an entire nerd, at least his voice is clear and somewhat sharper than you'd expect a dragon this shape to be. But that's probably because he's also taken some amount of Radio Voice training in the past, and uses it now to do podcasts and game reviews online. He does have a strong mind, but it's mainly short range, so he can organize the entire school into a 'wherever you are it's time to LAN' party, but not necessarily connect to other more distant people unless they are listening in. His mental landscape is ... noisy. Static, afterimages like tetris blocks and UI elements are always present in his mind, so if you're watching his mind while he's playing a game you might as well grab the popcorn because there it all is in living color
Telekinesis - once he learned that this was 'a thing' for his species, he started working hard toward a goal of being able to lift that sippy cup and a handful of chips into his gob without having to put down his controller. He still needs fingers to operate anything which requires a lot of fast movement or precise touch, but he can definitely manipulate small items under about 2 lbs within range of his forelimbs and head. Probably also keep a backpack or satchel for his gear on his neck, too, and can attach or undo velcro closures pretty easily
Technology Expert - if it's a simple item such as a light switch or whatever he can direct his telekinetics at it, but other things he simply understands on sight. Circuit boards and code models, your defective internet router, that vcr you need fixed, he's on it. He can fiddle with stuff with those nimble fingers of his, and even hold tiny wires until needed with that TK, and do a lot of tech-headed work actually for a living. This is less of a 'power' than a 'real world application' of what he knows, but it definitely will inherit as though it's a power
Unassisted Firebreath - as above, this is a power that used to be assisted in most of his breed but due to remaining at the Healing Den outside of spacetime as long as he has been, he can actually breathe a weaksauce flame without any chemicals to react. Now... that said, if he's been drinking alcohol or having certain snacks, when he belches you will see that flame, it's more 'unassisted unless it's assisted'. The flame he can make with nothing is about enough to light all the birthday candles on your 'ha ha you are old now' cake, but he lacks much control over it, so he tries not to burn stuff if he can avoid it. It'd melt his headset just a little, so he makes sure to burn off any of that existing gas or whatever before really getting into playing on mic

Pwn U N00b +5 if there's a video game, he has played it. He particularly likes competitive shooters but is always up for reviewing your new single-player puzzler, or creative wave-hoard builders. He's not picky about what he's playing, but whether he plays something again, that's the thing. He gives honest reviews and sometimes scathing complaints where needed, but he does know how to compliment-sammich them with any positives. In those competitive games, however, he will wipe the fuckin floor with you if you let him. He does cheat, but no one really knows it, and when a team is doing well against him he'll definitely admit defeat!

Techhead +5 repair, replace, recycle, upcycle, clean it and sell it, you got it! Physical skills can come in any package, right? And his package is a broad-butt eyeglass wearing dragon. His claws are surprisingly precise, not just on a controller or keyboard, but while carefully pulling out a loose wire to reattach it, tighten down teeny screws, heck he has a particular claw that he can use for phillips heads! He likes fiddling with new tech, restoring old things like radios or even refrigerators, though he does specialize in things that have electronic components rather than purely mechanical ones

Skills

Podcast Reviews +4 has a good grasp on how to analyze things, from gameplay and visuals to construction of game-related toys or functional controllers. He's got a structure he likes to follow for these reviews, so if you have something needing to be checked up, he will do so! But that will definitely come with the caveat of "he will broadcast it unless you tell him not to at the very start" so lead with that. If you don't want everyone to know what you're working on for your Electronics For The Future! class, you'll need to lead with it for sure. He has a pretty large fan base or at least a large quantity of watcher numbers for most of his actual 'reviews', and a much bigger base of watchers or listeners to the gaming related ones, streaming live games, and the like. Enjoys having a guest with him for some, when he isn't an expert on something, plus he loves letting people shine when they're the pro in the room

Sponsored By Today's Guest +3 He can hook up with a staggering array of different companies, groups, teams, organizations, and individuals, if they've got something that he actually enjoys or wants to use he'll make all the necessary arrangements. If he is pushing a product it's because he knows that it works, and does what it says on the tin. He will not just pick up some random garbage fire mobile game and tell you it's fun, if it's fun he will seek out who to ask about a sponsorship. Bonus points, he will do this for you. Mostly free, in fact. Sometimes he gets finders-fees for such things, but mainly he'll accept a trade - you bring him the pizza for the next couple games, he'll show off that keyboard-cap set you've got they look cute! The other upside of this, is that he has hardly ever had to pay for things himself...

Enjoys All The Geeky Stuff +3 Sonyth isn't limited in any way to those electronic or video games, no sir. He doesn't have all the room in the world, but as time goes by, he does need that added nook at the Healing Den that he can reach through a small portal, for the tabletop gaming books, wargames, minis, action figures, cards, heck he even has a couple dozen plush toys that people have made for him! He encourages everyone to have a hobby - whether that's actually playing a sport, playing a fantasy sport (gambling only where legal, kids!!), playing a board version of it, or a video game, or even making a video game of a sport! Reading and drawing, cosplay, ooh ooh going to cons is super fun! He will not shame anyone for their enjoyment of stuff as long as it's kept above the board and legal in beautiful this area. The moment anyone steps over a line, he will have your ass SWATTED like nobody's business because he knows where you live

Knacks

No Orange Dust +3 Though he does love cheetos or other messy dusty snacks, he likes to keep his work and play area pretty clean all things considered. Given that he can waddle past his cluttered work bench and wave a hand over it to 'collect the little bits' and toss them into their appropriate recycle bins or awaiting containers, even if he's been busy for several days on a big project, you will still have the appreciable feeling that he keeps his shit well organized, because he does

Needs Corrective Lenses -2 Though he can still see a big blur beyond about 20 feet, his eyes are still way better than you'd imagine a dragon that does nothing but play vidya' games all day. That said they are not good beyond 20 feet, save for catching motion or light and shadows. He's got various sets of other lenses for up close work but those are actually the same kind of thing that miniature model painters and watch makers use

Period Did not attend except 'night classes' or sitting in. However, is available for these classes as either a substitute or assistant during school periods, and supports the Gaming Lounge any other time

Blue Dragon

Everyone who has a little brother or friend with a Playstation would love to be around this dragon.

Of course, he's not going to be out fighting REAL Thread anytime soon. His eyesight's going and he has a permanent hunch but that's okay. The next PS2 game is coming out any time soon...

Got Geek?

(from Fools 1 hatching)

"Can you program that thing?" asked Aelin to the other pale-skinned blurry-eyed boy. They pushed their glasses up to the top of their noses in unison.

They watched as the blue dragon with the little wings did the same. Did you know that I have the latest Final Fantasy? It's coming over the internet, WHEN it works...

"Hey, that's cool! Does it work in here?" said Fritzen. "I mean, the reception must be terrible with all that stone..."

Aelin looked sadly on as he was ignored by the pair. Baeris put her hand on his shoulder and suggested, "there will be other clutches, and maybe you'll find one that can do what you do too." She glanced at the pair in the corner playing a video game, probably from the future.

**

Had been impressed to Fritz, but as that was part of a large group that vanished he's been residing at the Healing Den for a very long while.
