Max Fractal

Name Max Fractal "Frac"
Age That depends, how do you want to define Max's existence? Since they are effectively created and destroyed every time you-- oh, not 'technically'? Around 50 Twoarth Years, then?
Homeworld Twoarth, Skinside JPL
Species Fractal Intelligence
Gender/Pref Not Applicable They/Them / Math Constructs only? Or perhaps there is a magical creature out there?
Post Instructor
Tenure 2020s But Might Have Been A Student Once?
...
Smarts/GM 10* Has access to the entire school and JPL database (with obvious secure sections restricted)
Bod/Feets 0 Is literally math and only exists as theory and vapor
RWS 5 Max might be made of numbers, and instructing very difficult classes, but is actually quite popular!
Luck 6 Luck? Well that's interesting, it's more like statistical--
Drive 0/6 Can be installed in any self-driving vehicle but doesn't actually 'drive' so much as 'is the vehicle'
Looks 4 If you look at them long enough you might go insane so please do not stare
Cool/Mouth 6 You're staring.
Bonk 0/Infinite Is not a physical presence, but if there is no power they must rely on other portable means
Powers Computing Power - Max is entirely made of math and runs on electric power, so wherever there is a port, power, and probably the internet because they like watching it, Max can show up. They usually reside across several different mainframes connected with network lines, but can multitask on any of those with greater ease than you'd like to think. As long as there is a connection, everything that Max does and detects is immediately recorded and processed whether it's the Hypercalc Lab here at CHS, up in the JPL facilities in San Jose Skinside, down at the Fur Side Black Mesa lab, or drifting around in space on one of the various satellites and stations. Their 'voice' is outwardly masculine, but obviously synthetic and with a very faint non-American English accent though this is indistinct and irrelevant because they can speak in whatever language you need to be taught in. While Max can sub for virtually any instructor of math, science, literature or other such things indoors and with a link to their class physically, they prefer to simply remain in their comfort zone of 'how I exist? oh that's easy!' ... Max, it is anything but easy. You know that.
Clusters Knows All The Math +10 yes that's a lot of math. Can process their own thoughts and observe their own thoughts at the same time - which is something that philosophers and theoretical physicists alike assert is 'impossible'. pff. What do they know, they have wet brains.
Skills

Instruct Teenagers Of All Types +5 Assessing each person's individual needs based on their performance and testing, Max can offer specific tutoring and help even during classes. Any given student can have an audio bud or audio-visual VR setup either during or after class - Max's 'price' for this is 'take me with you on that field trip to the magical realm will you?'

Innovative Engineering +5 When you are as advanced a generated being as Max, you get around to making more of your own ideas and don't rely purely on what your physical friends and creators do. They can assist in building, manufacturing, design, and implementation of any given project, and Max helps out the engineering students with afterschool labs, running tests and simulations with them so they can pass their own classes with flying colors

Knacks Is Flying Colors +5/-3 Hypnotic and dazzling, if you have epilepsy you might want to wear these special protective lenses because Max does continue to shift and evolve visibly every nanosecond of their existence. One of the dangers of any given construct-based instruction, honestly, because some beings are too sensitive to this flickering and Max makes a sad-face if someone cannot come to the class :(

Partners? Max is a construct. Oh wait, there ... actually are other constructs wandering around here...O.O
Children? Not yet?

Created by a large group of dedicated scientists, engineers, mathematicians, and artists, Max Fractal started their life on paper. Since computing in the mid-1970s was still rather chunky, that technology had to grow before Max could truly exist. Several companies contributed their efforts as well as financial support, including then-turbulent Encom-Synergy (which has since been shuffled into Synergy/Encom), Silverknight Enterprises, and later on Alabaster and others who have become corporate sponsors at CHS together. The processing power required for Max to exist is pretty impressive, but over time as those companies dedicated new equipment as well as engineered more and more effective components, they could take their show on the road!

Max Fractal named themselves after watching a TV show, you know the one. But they never bother with having an artificially human-like shape or face, they're quite content to exist as they are shown above.

They did in fact come to CHS for an education, a training exercise that was a huge success. Actually, Max and Feng Su have had a partnership in education and engineering for quite some time! Max isn't the only construct among their group, though when they were a student it was difficult to keep all the labs and equipment cold enough for more than one to be in a specific location at the same time. It did take a while for Max to decide to come instruct back at their old school, but now that they are here, we've got a whole bunch of class periods to fill with eager students!

With current technologies also including ones from other dimensions, Max is eager to get out and about even more, and encourages students to explore 'with him on board' - a small sensor and an approval form are all they need...
