Uplifted Communication - like some number of mollusk, jellies, or crustaceans, the nudibranch Kin of Twoarth are capable of not only sapient thought processes and tool use, but communication with other species. For Eeloh this consists of a potent pheromone secretion used in water mixed with gentle body language, and in shallow water or tide pool (cannot survive long outside of water) can produce a burst of empathic semi-electrochemical knowledge to nearby minds. If someone has no ability to detect chemicals (no sense of smell, or no other receptors for such things) they cannot receive this information. They can 'see' and 'hear' using those fluffy antennae but also they collect chemical and even electrical information too, none of which is equitable to any of those senses in a Humanoid.

Technically Those Are All Toes - any extrusion or clump of limb-like material that Eeloh produces are all still effectively their 'foot' reconfiguring. They can feel through this foot easily, discerning quite a bit of information about texture, chemical composition, temperature, and the like just with a little gentle brush. They can then convey discussion points with a hand-wave or wiggle, and Eeloh often seems to be humming to themself about the depth and structure they're passing by. They can reach out of water with their 'hand' and may do so to attract a student's attention, but will remain under the surface for their own safety.
