Powers

Poison Spines - able to erupt a number of bone or thorn-like spikes out of his body at will, which can obviously pierce flesh or most thin substances up to brick or wood; these are coated with or inject a poison substance which is quite powerful but not necessarily deadly unless injected into small creatures or ones with existing allergic reactions to food (of any kind). He can fling small clusters of these sharp spines from his hands about 20 feet accurately, and each can cause very painful wounds without the poison added. The poison will act as a debuff agent to all but the hardiest of enemies, and has several effects including slowing their overall movement rates, reducing the strength of their attacks, and 'softening them up' for further attacks; these effects wear off after a few minutes but it's usually enough to get them through a fight with boss, LTs, and minions alike.

Teleportation - though it costs him quite a lot of endurance to manage, he can move between spaces up to 100 meters by simply appearing there. He can't move while doing this, so he can't use it as a 'combat' maneuver, and he remains somewhat slow after doing this so he likes to make sure he's moving toward a clear spot free of enemies. He cannot use this on others, it's a self-only ability.

Clusters

Doesn't Injure Friends +2 Though the sound of all of this is a little freaky and gross, as the thorns erupt, gush, and then are flung out with a dripping splat, he is incredibly good at selectively throwing or blorching out this poison and spines at specific targets or areas. Whether he offers a warning about it or not, unless the spine coated with the poison is aimed at someone, it will not even affect them

Great Throwing Arm +2 When not busy with his heroics, he is actually very good with sports involving accurate throwing. He isn't involved directly with any of the school sports teams, but that hasn't stopped them from asking him to sub for their pitcher or quarterback now and then

Skills

Save Up Potency +3 If he doesn't get that stuff out of his system it does tend to become stronger. In the course of about 2 full days, it can become a roiling lethal concoction that even singes his hands a little when it comes out - so he does his best to basically practice daily and keep it to a minimum. However if there is a threat that actively comes up, like that one kaiju that impacted the nearby hillside and started tearing up homes, he can force the process to speed up for a short time

Actually Not Ruin Clothing +3 They do come out of his skin. And they do poke through clothing, but neither the spines themselves nor the sticky icky poison that comes from his body seem to leave holes or stains? Somehow? The campus laundry service is keenly interested in collecting and analyzing some of this goop because there is a good chance it would be a terrific solvent if it was just a little less harmful!

Knacks Eat Anything And Not Die +4 Maybe his spines and poison are a result of a super-active digestive system, because he can chew on beef jerky, beef bones, shoe leather, or leather-bound books and still get nutrition out of them. Also can snack on small metal items or shards of glass, though if the item isn't organic to start it just kind of ... dissolves in his gut and doesn't emerge later if you know what I mean. Yes, he could eat your homework, and yes he can destroy evidence. He's a hero though who would want him to do either of those? >_>

Weakness More on the personal end, he would like to be considered a team leader with all the benefits, but those benefits are curtailed by the presence of those spines. He does have to concentrate on not growing bitter about this.

On seeing his handsome face and proud posture, most people inherently trusted and wanted to follow Goldspike. But few hung out too close to his spines, as they were quite painful and looked a bit... gross. His outfit has had to be made specially for him, the 'wounds' created by the spines healed using a nanofiber technology that he didn't pretend to understand. But he did like to look good. He knew that his spines would become a problem if he ever got too up-close, so Rita had to help him figure out how to internalize the poisons, and meditate a bit in order to keep them from erupting with his moods. He is a good front-line fighter, able to hold his own even in the heat of battle. Generally he would send out a long-range spike to alert a group of enemies and keep their attention on him. But little did they know they were already being affected by the poisons, and by the time his team would reach them those enemies melted like butter. He had a good awareness of biological enemies, but even mechanical ones will fall to the piercing spikes.

Rita had been of considerable use to help him learn how to teleport, using clever methods to chase enemies over or around an area. He has been able to scoot through a battlefield to reach the end boss though he still has no way to then summon his team. Perhaps at some point he'll work on that, but in the meantime he was well equipped to handle wading into a lot of enemies and allowing others to mop up behind him. ... Literally, sometimes the poison spikes drop that stuff on the walls and floor. As a team leader he listened to his group, and liked to assess their abilities before doing anything. That had gained him quite a bit of respect from the authorities, and Peacemongrel awarded him very high marks in his Ethics class.

Dragon

Name: Glitterbreak
Gender: Male
Size/Shoulder/Length: medium 9' s / 40' l / 40' ws
Colors: body and wing arm backs dark mud-yellow brown, with vibrant yellow stripes; face and wingsails sparkling pale gold with bright yellow nebula glitter; horns and tail spikes ivory yellow; eyes pale neon yellow-green
Features: nonstandard Pyrrhan, possibly icewing mutt, since tail and neck spines are quite sharp, but coloration indicates a wider variety even including both nightwing and sandwing variants
Powers: Winged Flight, though not very durable in flight, those short wings allow Glitterbreak to swiftly move in and out of cramped locations such as alleys and between trees or buildings, and can move in a flash if there is cover or a place to land near the ground
Verbal Speech, this dragon knows English and a little bit of any given thing spoken on campus. Since he has essentially grown up in the dragonry at CHS there are ample opportunities to learn Draconic, as well as dozens of human and nonhuman tongues. Knows just enough to give directions or orders quickly if needed, in a variety of those languages
Glitterbomb, betraying more or less Sandwing influence for a strong power like this, Glitterbreak is able to powerfully beat his wings and throw grit and particles into the air in a directed location. This can blind and even injure enemies, but he does give a warning to those he wants to protect first. This field of glitter is then able to be manipulated by his telekinesis
Telekinetics, an unusual power from any pyrrhan, he can manipulate particulate matter up to the weight (but not the connected size) of a small car. If you need your party bus cleaned up from that beach event, all that sand is super easy to break free and move! He can hurl it or even aim it like a whip once he's gotten enough to do this, though it cannot necessarily penetrate hard armor it may damage surfaces and pierce force fields that may rely on larger objects, since every single particle counts it also might wear out a force field that is projected 'per hit' extremely quickly
Poison Resistance and Venom Bite, it's no wonder he was paired up with a similarly sounding and color-coded hero! There isn't a time when those spines of his friend's aren't leaking some kind of ouch, but that does not harm or even penetrate Glitterbreak's hide. He has a potent bite, but not lethal unless it's left to fester (of course he's a good size dragon so if you're bitten you're gonna be very very hurt)
Sharp Spines and Horns, as his rider, he has a batch of extremely sharp spikes on his neck and tail tip, though lacks the wing or paw claws of a true Icewing. They, unlike his particles, can easily pierce armor or thick structural materials, so if he needs to be through a wall he'll bash at it until there's enough dust for his power to pick up and do the rest of the job
Parentage: unknown, unrelated to any in the Rookery

Other Info: a sturdy boi like this deserves a sturdy grrl some day!
