Powers |
Physical Alteration (Strength/Toughness) - Going well beyond superhuman in his bursts of strength or feats of survival, Tav is able to briefly (up to 15 minutes with a 3 hour down time) boost his Bonk or Bod/Feet up to a whopping fifteen (15!!) to do things like lift tanker trucks, walk through nuclear blasts, or the like. That's not saying his clothing or anything with him will also survive if they're in any danger, but he won't even have a hair out of place on the other side. He's the kind of guy who not only walks away from an explosion without looking back at it, the explosion runs the other way... That all said, his normal strength is quite high, and he doesn't always know what to do with himself if delicate work is involved. Note that he can boost one or the other - big and strong, or ridiculously durable, not both at the same time
Defensive Adaptation - Even without a big boost to his Bonk, Tav can casually ignore minor damage or even major issues with a moment or two of exposure. However he can consciously expand this to include those around him at up to 3 meters, so hug him if there's a fire and he'll keep everyone next to him quite safe. This power isn't quite as massive as his Toughness, but it helps in situations where he must rescue others, or scout around and leave his strength boost up. This functions for at least 4 hours or until he needs to change it out for something else, however he can keep each different adaptation up without needing any down time between them. The ability to aid others does require a little down time, so if he's walking into a fire himself that's one thing, but if he has to take others out with him he will need to rest for a few minutes before going in again
Insta-Skill - Where Dal is great with theoretical mind games, Tav is suddenly able to do physical tasks he's never taken on before. He does have to concentrate on 'learning' it for a moment or two (not more than 10 seconds!) but then for another hour or so he can perform this task without fail and without even needing to roll for success. Assembly line parts, auto mechanic, piano playing, carpentry, target shooting, if it's a physical skill that is normally learned over time or with practice, he can perform it instantly as though he's a master, for a short time. He does not rely on this to pass tests or school work, preferring to actually learn how to do whatever's necessary for school |

Picks The Right Defense +3 Tav does learn from those experiences, and can easily recognize a situation where his defense must be just-so. From the smell of an electrical fire, to the grit in the air of a sandstorm, he can fix himself up with the right adaptation. He's not going to apply this to other people without knowing first, after all, and he'd rather try out any number of damage types to learn its ways, before being entrusted to save others from it |
Skills |
Nothing Stops Him +3 He is a force of nature, and it's an unnatural place he's from. Tav is not just stubborn, in fact he's not stubborn at all, he will admit defeat or consult with others if he's having issues, but once he does know his path he doesn't quit until it's finished. This might be for a trek through a burning desert, or a particularly weasely math test. He may not get stellar marks, but he will get the job done either way
Bravery Is His Thing +3 He's the one you want to spearhead an assault, defend a location, find dangerous spots and disarm them, or show up to save the day. Even though he's hardly the leader, he is the one who's frequently seen first and last, and often enough is the one shaking hands with the mayor or grateful parents. Notably however he does realize that other people in danger need to be reminded of that danger. He won't allow them to come to harm, but they will eventually realize that he's there to help, not hinder, an operation that is going wrong
Always On Time +3 Just In Time is his motto, and those ops turning bad rarely go completely sour. He has a strange innate sense of where to go and what to do, compelled to show up at a work site or move to one side in a big venue before danger hits and he gets to save the day. He can resist this, but why bother? He'd rather be seen as always in the nick of time! |
Knacks |
Bull In A China Shop +3 Definitely don't put him in a glass shop. Oh. Oh, ... um. He is 'casually dangerous' but never to people, breakables will all but fall apart around him, and he has to monitor his own strength when that mayor wants to shake his hand... No lasting damage is ever done purposefully, but the universe seems to know that he's much, much stronger than he looks. This does not in any way translate to 'bad luck follows him', just keep the delicate and priceless things in another room if he's visiting
Flex! +1 He can use that to his advantage, however, as a distraction or a way to get attention. He can exert the merest amount of arm strength to lift a desk with a kid on it, and likes to stand around on the beach with Sanger's 'Posing and Weight Training' class (he's not even in that class) just to look good |

Tav is not the brightest bulb, but he's hardly stupid. He is however the only one among the clones who is actively failing a class, and that's purely because... well, who decides to put a guy like him in a class where everything breaks if he looks at it the wrong way? It's not his fault! Actually someone did suggest that he use that class to learn how to avoid damaging things, and to an extent he's learning, but it'll take more than one or two semesters before that 'bull' is tamed. When he does figure out what this can do for him instead of against, he'll be able to selectively destroy walls or windows, shatter items in specific ways, or creatively move rubble around. Until then, he more or less destroys walls, windows, or whatever either way.
