Straight out of Ryslen, Springtime has sprung and it's just hoppin around these parts...
The tiniest little eggs showed up and from them emerged these lovely little star-marked Hoppers. Very carefully this group of them were coaxed into a safe little enclosure. Someone who'd lived in the spot before had kept hamsters and this arrangement suits the tiny flitters nicely. Of course they got clean bedding and the right type of enrichment toys, and the Hoppers have never been 'locked up' in it. Besides the fact that they're so small they could easily just wiggle their way through the thin metal bars, when they started locating the errant earwigs and carpet beetles that bothered the students... they gobbled each one up like it was nothing.
Hoppers are tiny, in fact they are on average not much larger than shown below... They hop with their strong hind legs, and balance with wings and tail, leaving their tiny tiny little hands to grasp prey or dig through dusty cupboards. Since they currently reside in Southern California on Twoarth it's highly likely that they'll be able to breed year-round, but they've been gently warned against such a thing - they'll make pretty babies, later. For now, keeping the apartment bug-free is their duty!

| "Carl" answers to his name, being a little bit of a take on the coral orange-pink of his hide. He's medium sized for a Hopper, at around 5" from nose to tail.
He likes fruit and sunflower seeds, but often leaves a sticky trail of footprints behind him.

"Gris" resembles the blue-grass found on some Holds back at Ifta where Shebb grew up. She has a broader wingspan but is still only about 4" long. Her preference is for herbs and spiced flakes of barbeque char left over from cookouts.

| "Petal" absolutely adores sugary treats, and has been known to make off with donut glaze that's fallen from a snack. She is barely over 3" long. Aggressive like a hummingbird, she'll make sure to warn the others if a larger pet ... or the feather duster, is arriving. |
"Match" is the largest of the flock at just under 6", and has proven himself to be the best guard any Hopper could want, and yes, he likes to steal the match-heads left by the smokers next door, so watch yourself, he'll belch a little flame, enough to curl your hair! |

They live near the campus in an apartment with other students, though their Holder may have wanted them to be living with them off-campus, the choice was made for Shebb's benefit by the school's admin. The apartment has a large central common room, two full bathrooms, a kitchen, and three average-sized bedrooms. Each room has enough space to relax, do modest exercise, hold as many books and school-required items as needed, and a longer-than-typical twin wide bed.
They have an Envious disposition - this is obviously because 'they were born a slave' and would like more of their own decisions to have weight. |

This power does consume endurance and will tire Shebb out if they do it in a team longer than about 15 minutes, and they must recover by resting and eating |

Visual Invisibility: as above, this power can't really be easily controlled and will fritz out at times, or fail to work when they're stressed or concentrating; they can do it more easily if they're rested and alone when they start, but will at times simply vanish if called on in class, and show up suddenly where they were just trying to observe. This power consumes no endurance but it may make Shebb a bit woozy if they have to keep concentrating on it being off or on |

Animation: though 'animate' purely means physically, they subconsciously add 'voices and other effects' to any item that comes to life in this manner. It is out of control and always-on, so there's a chance that literally any given small item might start talking or walk away on its own. Even items such as pens or paper clips, up on to chairs and floor lamps. The effect usually applies to a single mid-sized item at a time, but can work on up to about 40 lbs of mass with much smaller things all at once, and they've been observed having conversations between animated items so it's possible that eventually Shebb might be able to orchestrate entire showings of Beauty and the Beast... This power does not consume endurance, which is extremely unusual. It's also possible that Shebb is going to use this to their advantage when they break it to their Pemilik owner that they aren't going home with them as a slave... |

Major - Hard To Control: Stealth/Invisibility power is as above, difficult to tell whether it's going to turn on or off, but generally unless it's a vital plot-point, they can force the issue and keep it in one state
Major - Always On: Animation as above, cannot be turned off and cannot be skilled to turn off, so even while Shebb is asleep there will be something moving or muttering. This is incredibly unnerving to people who haven't seen it happen or don't know about it...
Sanity Loss Incusion: because of those things above, there's always the chance that someone will flip out about it when Shebb vanishes or when their hair clip starts singing. This is mostly minor, a temporary 1 point guaranteed loss that recovers in an hour or so. This will however happen at least 4 times per person and since it's hardly 'expected' that another item will go off or that they will or will not be visible while talking at you in the halls, it's something that a weaker willed person might eventually develop a minor phobia or reaction to |
