Force User - The Dattanod family has both pride and shame among its branches and roots. A great-uncle and his daughter were both well respected Jedi. And then there's grandmother Elmodi, who fell in with the Night Sisters and never quite looked back. What this means for Damaldon is that from an early age, he was certainly meant to become 'some' kind of Force adept. But this was in an era when the Jedi and Sith had been at war for generations, the galaxy was in shambles, and no one could trust that any given sect of either of their camps would be right. Thankfully he's not one of those 'must learn to use a lightsaber' types. He doesn't need a lightsaber. He can turn any piece of equipment into something far more useful for the immediate needs! His Force skill comes with droids, computers, vehicles, tools, and any mechanical items. This does mean he's somewhat woeful with ... well, fleshy things...
^M4d 5ki11z - you're so leet it hurts to look at you, all technology is your domain, +3 Cluster with any computer equipment
^Grease Monkey - any piece of machinery that operates without a complicated computer, you know how to take apart and put together; Cluster: Mechanical Aptitude +3

^If It Isn't Flesh, It's Damaldon's Domain +7 Everything comes from his abilities with machinery and computers, the two powers above combine into a perfect storm of knowledge and skill. He can examine a tool or device and understand it within 15 minutes of intense scrutiny or just 'luck' if he grabs it from a pile as he's working. Maybe the Force moves the right tool into his hand, maybe the Force lets him understand all of this, but he then puts it into practical, physical use, and does not forget how to use even the most advanced items or ships, computer systems, security, or vehicles
Use The Force, Damaldon! +3 When he's in a class or just has the luxury of time to concentrate on it, he is actually learning about how the Force truly works and how it can work through him. He does know his family history, and he is also being made aware of the subtle differences between his home dimension and those of Odalo and Cannon. The point is, here, the Force is strong and there are people to help him learn to use it right

Research Techniques +5 You'll find him reading data pads, books, scrolls, user manuals, signage, the backs of shampoo bottles, you name it, he will dedicate himself to understanding whatever information it can give him. He takes quick but well-made notes on anything, and they are all in the same format, so he can explain to someone else how to read his short-hand. He doesn't like it when someone left half-assed notes or no help section on a web site, or when the tags are torn from items that had washing instructions on them...
Adaptable To Most Cultures +4 Because one thing that ties many different worlds together is technology, he can figure out where to fit in based on the level of technology that they're using. He does feel remarkably 'at home' here on Twoarth, given their staggering array of available tech, but he can also find himself well suited to Fur-Side areas where, while he doesn't exactly blend in, he fits in once they know he's making a grooming kit and cleanup device for the local salon... Or a buffing station for those Droids, or fixing someone's breathing apparatus if theirs is failing and they might get hurt by breathing an Oxygen-Nitrogen atmosphere. It's his only real way of interacting with people as people, with that buffer of machinery between him and them, but he does it very well
Of Course He Can Navigate +4 He doesn't slack off when actually piloting a vehicle, anything from a jetski to a starship, but his far better skill aside from 'fixing' that vehicle is of knowing where to go and how to get there with it. He is brilliant at the calculations for fuel consumption when it matters, speed when it's needed, and stealth in vehicles that would otherwise be a glaring beacon of shouldn't-be-here. He also applies this to crowd-weaving and ... well, stealthy break-ins when security is a problem, he all but sees a Heads-Up Display worth of information: cones of visibility, where an ambush might be, where the next rest station is for the kiddos needing a break on that road trip, and how to reach the front rows of a good show without looking too eager to get there first or trampling anyone in the process

Sometimes Follows Instructions Too Closely +/-3 He has... less of a sense of sarcasm or irony than most, and while he's smart enough to not be truly gullible, he doesn't like deviating from what he knows has been instructed. He'll get a little snippy when someone tries to follow a recipe to cook a dish and then just improvises spices, why didn't you get the right ones ready? It'll taste different than it was supposed to! He generally won't go farther than acting a little perturbed, unless it's his instructions that someone else is ignoring, because he feels that either they have failed to understand and Things Will Go Wrong, or, that he wrote them wrong somehow and is therefore To Blame For This Mess... If you do want those cookies to turn out exactly as intended on the box, he can and will do exactly what's written. He can also improvise with machinery or code - just... not with people involved...He's not 'short tempered' with people, he just... only understands them when they're functioning in a group or with a goal in mind. But please do not ask him to go to the dance, or what he thinks of the new music from that one group. While he can offer his expertly assessed ideas, he isn't all that great at conveying how little he cares about those things. But he will certainly verbally wonder whether the sound is able to affect droids and humans in the same way!
Obliviously Handsome +4 There are a number of people who will sigh heavily and bat their eyes or even swoon a little when he enters the classroom, boys, girls, bots, whoever, and they seem to also understand that he's forbidden fruit: he is not going to brush them off because he doesn't like them as a person, it's because he entirely fails to see a potential partner when they're throwing themselves at him. He doesn't understand why he sometimes gets 'more' of that cake you made (maybe they followed the instructions) or is given a nicer seat in the theater on a busy night. He also therefore does not exploit this, and perhaps that's why people still do it
Actually Helpful +4 Even if he has to butt in, any advice that he gives if he sees something about to go wrong, will definitely fix the dire issue at hand. He has learned to reserve this while in class unless it's going to be fatally wrong, since he also knows that learning involves ... well, failing sometimes, and he's not the boss of the entire class. But if he hands you a tool it's the right one, and if he pulls out a data pad with something on it, you should read it, it'll be what you need!

Other Info |
They live near the campus in an apartment with other students - this is a place where he both shines and shies away. If the coffee machine is broken everyone does love him. If they're asking him to play foosball with them, he's out...
He has a Just, Inconsiderate disposition, he doesn't mean to snub you, but sometimes you do get snubbed... that's just part of him and his ways and it's best to just move on with your life instead of fixating on him, because you won't be able to 'change' him

Dragon |
Name: Silipi
Gender: Male
Size/Shoulder/Length: Small 7' s / 22' l / 32' and 14' ws
Colors: SIlken Black-Red; body is technically 'black' but is so reflective it often takes on a sheen of whatever lighting is around, like oil on water, but the darks are very, very dark indeed; backs of wings and all fins / webbing a rich strong red, also very reflective; undersides of wingsails (all 6) is molten beer-gold; eyes yellow, claws white
Features: Gecknawen Mutt as shown - four legs with fins on elbow/butt joints, forepaws with retractable claws (?) and hind with very large obvious claws; two pairs of leathery body wings with four visible fingers, fore are flight sized, while hind on the rump over tail are much smaller to help stability; tail splits into three main, and subsequent splits on tips (with Ninetailth as a gramma who could say how many times they'd split!) as well as a final pair of small wings; entire dorsal ridge from nose to middle tail tip has spines with connecting webbing; head has long back pointing skin-colored horns, external ears (?) with added fins
Powers: Winged Flight, though he's small enough to sit in the dragon lounge while his bond is attending classes, Silipi is strong and quite rough and tumble in the air if he needs to be. He can heft small vehicles for short distances, as long as he can get a grip on an object it will get where it's going. Damaldon trusts his dragon friend absolutely when they're flying, rides without a saddle or harness, though sometimes Silipi will insist he use something to keep him attached because wind, or other concerns may pull him off. When they are working on a project, they act as one - perhaps the Old World genes truly activating, maybe just the Gecknawen technological know-how - this needs to be held up let me get that for you, let's move to the other side of the hangar and run some tests...
*Teleportation, best with reasonably short distances such as across a large room or from one end of the campus to another, Silipi can also move much greater distances provided instruction or direction by another dragon, or having been to a location and spent a bit of time establishing a mental map. That said, his maps are quite extensive, and he loves looking over the data and navicomp readings that his rider programs - no you may not just blip over to those coordinates Silipi you will die it is literally for spaceships
*Telepathy, Silipi's mental voice is just exactly as smooth and shiny as his body, sleek and warm to the touch, a tiny bit of suede to it, in fact he does look like a buffed suede at times, and he relishes being seen as well as heard. He's no gossip though, he'll listen in and only blurt things out when his rider needs an open space or if there's something important to say to a broad group. His range for non-telepathic beings is about 200 meters, somewhat short, but to telepathic ones such as any dragon or psionic person, he can connect at up to 50 miles for a ping! Conversationally he's able to be heard and understood at around 20 miles and beyond that it gets a little muddled. His voice has confidence and as much charm as his rider does not
(*Psionic Suite inherit together)
Technological Ken - his sire's breed is inherently good with technology of all types, and Silipi is no different. He was most attracted to 'the smell of ozone' around Damaldon, and may have had to fend off others in the clutch for a bond like him. When they're working together, Damaldon can be ripping out broken pieces of things and just tossing them over his shoulders, while Silipi bats them around and organizes them into categories such as 'still functional but too old to use' and 'scavenge for small parts later'. He's going to enjoy any moment they spend searching through starship graveyards, so much...
Personal Ability (clutch/personality based) Suave Aura, Perhaps it's where he comes from, or from whom, but Silipi is everything social that his bond is not. He is self-aware in ways that Damaldon cannot even comprehend, and is quite at ease with his own gorgeous appearance. This makes him what he calls 'the perfect wing man get it get it??' Damaldon does not, in fact, 'get it'. Doesn't matter. Silipi will be the glue that adheres his rider to other people, whether he is aware of it or not. And it's not like Sipipi won't be picky about who or how he does this, he's not going to try and lump a cheerleader into bed with the guy, sheesh! If they're a science nerd though...!

Other Info: Easygoing, dependable, conceited; he is every bit the charmer, and more than that he is genuine about it. Yes, he's got a bit of an ego on him, but ... have you seen him?
