| Powers | Water Adapted - obviously a waterborn and water-loving dragoness, Jazz is able to dive and speed through virtually any kind of water, with the exception of very polluted bodies of it, and prefers the salt water of an ocean to anything else Teleportation - surprising no one, she can teleport straight up out of the water, with a blob of seawater hovering around herself, and use the gravity of a world to just slam straight into the sea once more, splashing everything around. She absolutely loves doing this, and has been known to teleport from the deeper ocean into the shallows of Crescent's bay and just douse several dozen families at once; she wouldn't do this if it would endanger anyone, and will certainly apologize if any damage happens Telepathy, High Intelligence - anyone who has felt the brushing of her mind knows she's got a bite to her intellect, always looking to see another angle or spice things up with new information. She loves finding people with differing views, but doesn't like arguing with them. She'll hear them out and then just never bother to get back to them or even use their information to help those who she fears might be endangered by their mood or actions. Those who have lingered in her mind more deeply will see right away that she 'stores' information about people in a way that greatly resembles sheet music, with people and moods, and notations about their impact on her and others around them; she also has 'nicknames' for people or creatures, events, and the like, done with her voice rather than mind. She can use both her mind and her voice to speak English, several kinds of local Draconic depending on who's in class, and a scattering of non-English words based again on who's around, not all of them safe for work Musical Emulation - with a natural Cluster* for it, this is truly where she shines and where she concentrates most of her energy at school. Jazz is not an 'overachiever' nor a show-off particularly, she wants to have everyone working at their best, and likes to listen to other musicians and students to offer gentle opinions or boost their morale, helping out where needed and backing off when asked; her gamut of sounds is quite staggering, however, and she loves both super-low-frequency sounds like you'd hear if you're a whale, upbeat singing and guitar, and hyper-sonic bat-songs, all with equal fervor and performance ability. Jazz does know better than to let loose with a massive booming tone anywhere near sensitive equipment or glass, or people who might get hurt, but she can provide a bass beat and interesting burbling from half a mile away and deeply under water with a performance that's up on a stage on shore... Breath Weapon - Assisted Firebreath -.... Now look, you'd think that a dragon whose breath weapon requires both oxygenated / nitrogen based air and a catalyst chemical would be discouraged from using it or even bothering with it under water. That is not the case. Jazz has it in her head that she can and will eventually light a big flame while under water and she's constantly trying this. It's a good thing that the chemicals are easily found both in the Chem lab at school and ... well, other places if you know what I mean. She's been thinking... there are people with skills and tools, what if she had a scuba tank or something attached to her head? That would allow her to trigger it and let off her own already-gassed up belching!? She saw the Ontogeny Dome's support structure being worked on underwater, and just knew she could do the same thing (only she doesn't exactly have the refinement of an underwater-specific arc welder)(.... yet) Elemental Control - Electric Body Charge - doesn't particularly use this except when she's hungry, and will go into deep water where there is plenty of food swimming around, jolt herself and just scoop up the stunned or dead fish for a snack |

| Skills | Not Harm Innocents +3 Jazz is well aware that she's not a small kid in school, she's a big dragon compared to most in her grade, and is quite careful even when she's been moved on land into the water-based dragon portion of the school. When she's out in open water, too, she likes to make sure that she's not causing trouble for fishermen or surfers alike (but she definitely will 'accidentally' whoops a sand castle because where's the fun if not rebuilding?) Perfect Attendance +2 Jazz wants to succeed, and likes to listen in on all the juicy gossip as well, so she's at school a little early, and stays behind a little late. What else does she have to do beyond that? Homework is handled on-site, she finishes it promptly and makes sure it's handed (flippered) in before leaving; she loves going on field trips, and looks forward to a day when she can lead a journey around the coastline to visit outdoor music venues that are performing on the water's edge! Too Clever By Half +2 Her ideas about music are one thing, but she also has a strong desire to be something akin to a superhero, though not one that flies through the air punching bad guys. Well she'd punch a bad guy if she thought they could take it... So she's also keeping tabs on superheroic classes, helping out with mockups of rescue missions and the like, and also has been on hand when the Talon City Civic Services Dragon Department has done presentations, realizing that they lack a proper 'lifeguard' section! Maybe that's for her? And she can 'moonlight' as a crooner! |

| Other Info | (from info block) As LochNex are a sexually dimorphic breed, LochNex Mutt Males have a long eel fin type crest from forehead to the spiked fan at their hips. Females have sharp Ryslenesque crests separate from the spiked fan at their hips. Both have fluffy white tufts at the tips of their ears and tail. Their hides are not limited to blue/green/purple/grey like the LochNex, but span the spectrum of Alskyrian and Pernese colors, and then some. They all have eyes with green irises They are supremely graceful in the water but ungainly on land. They cannot fly, but are good at soaring leaps. Living Preferences: Will prefer to live in areas with large bodies of water. Can happily accept fresh, brackish or salt water. Just so long as they're deep enough to swim in. Diet: Fish and water plants are preferred, but they are omnivorous and can eat all plants and animals generally considered edible. Bonding: Can bond, but don't need to. |

| Powers | Sea Dragon Mutt Powers - like many dragons attending the school they have a good amount of built-in abilities, all geared toward their biology and background. October also has specific abilities that not all in their sibling group have Swimming and Deep Swim - though October generally remains in modestly shallow water, they're very capable of following even the darkest path without issue; pressure and darkness don't really bother them, and cold water is fine too Telekinetic Flight and Manual Accommodation - they don't need full sized wings to fly, October enjoys gliding over the surface of the water and right up onto the beach, surprising people who think 'they'll stop when they hit the sand' but... October does not hit the sand. They do also prefer to remain near the water itself, rather than going too far up and flapping around in an ungainly manner, preferring to swim snake-like for a while and rise up just enough to keep pace with a boat like a dolphin emerging but not going back down! Additionally their forefeet can hold things well enough, but October uses them to focus telekinetic motion, they are decent enough to turn pages and maybe carefully hold items, but anything needing detailed work gets a specially designed electronic device Telepathy - can communicate mind-to-mind with speech, images, and emotions; October's mindscape is somewhat melancholy but at the same time quite beautiful. They have a good memory for faces, voices, sounds of any kind, and can associate emotional expressions with the sounds being made Musical Vocalizations and Perfect Pitch - from the LochNex line, can communicate with others of their ilk; reportedly these guys sound a lot more like 80s synthesizers than their full- and half-LochNex kin... This dragon's no exception there, but they add a generous amount of orchestral strings and occasionally woodwinds, conveying much more than just a pop song. This affords October an innate Cluster* for music Sonic Manipulation - the waves, the gulls and sea birds, children laughing and parents chatting, cars in the nearby parking lot or airplanes buzzing the area with a banner trailing behind... those all can be blotted out by this dragon's powerful will, changing to an entire chorus of dolphin song, eerie siren howls of actual Sirens or Harpies, and even just 'some peace and quiet' when a lifeguard needs to announce something on the loud speaker and can't be heard over it. This power is strongest in a sphere around 50 meters radius, but can still affect sounds farther away Electrical Sense - can locate other living organisms by sensing their biological electrical fields; this keeps them safe when down in the local continental trench, but also can help identify humanoids struggling in the difficult waves nearby; works up to about 50 meters for larger things, and can be quite detailed at touch Weather Control - can manipulate temperature, humidity, and pressure to change weather; local area of effect only; this power is used mainly to calm the fierce winds that carry both sand and salty spray across the beach, and in some cases to produce a tall visible water spout to alert land-born lifeguards to a specific location Breath Weapon (Water) - October has a decent variety of ways to spit. Of course saying it like that is kind of gross! They can get a wide battering ram of pressure in conjunction with both their weather control and telekinesis, to smash large items or move heavy objects, but equally can provide a gentle mist over the baking hot parking lot in summer. Given that each person sees or interprets art in a different way, October is positively fascinated by the fractal nature of any given piece. They've taken digital tours of art museums and attend remote classes or events, and their only real wish is to visit some of them in person - this might be a bit tough when that museum is thousands of miles away and also indoors in a big city... Economics Nerd +3 Studied the history of transportation and distribution routes, then sailing, then how different technologies affected these things, and overall it's likely that October will be able to leverage this into a minor degree later on, since some of those things also affect sea life and the quality of life of millions along those routes, and this is a passion of theirs Gentle Activism +1 October is not above putting effort into singling out ear-holes and putting sound effects into them that reflect the positive or negative impact a person is having on the world around them. They've been known to insert a 'wah wah wah waaaah' when someone dumping litter on the beach gets caught, or a 'tadaa!' ding if they spot a kid helping out an old person with their sun screen. | Knacks | Definitely A Socialist +3/-1 While this might be a no-brainer for some, given the state of the worlds that October has heard about via classes and visitors to the beach, it doesn't seem like everyone is on board, and they also know that a great number of classes and technology found at CHS is supplied by very, very rich people. They'd like it if everyone could be 'rich', but will settle for no one being 'poor'. This comes in the form of sometimes finding lost goods or gear under the water, and ... well, relocating it where someone in need might find it. What the old homeless guy will do with it is up to him, but October will make sure that no one else gets it first when they already have that fancy car and their own home on the hills Bit Of A Wallflower +2 Since October usually serves as a background music producer or mood enhancer, they're usually in the background, and as such may overhear quite a bit of gossip or information that might not be easily uncovered otherwise.
