Name: Lexie Terrell

Gender: Female, straight

Age/DOB: 15 / 2022

Origin: Repurposed Earth, AAEC/Medusa, Auburn Alabama

Family: Spliced from prior samples and reborn after original perished - Lexie shares a lot of common features with Damon, Nigel, and Ruben, from their dark skin to their light bending abilities; in RY5 she was used as the basis for an ELL, Bountell, and has helped instruct the clone on power use

Other: She's not really looking to settle down, but there might be something said about how good she is with kids; for this reason she and Turquoise get to set aside some time-space to raise their daughter Teala and son Leif

Height: 5'3" (yes, she's tiny compared to most of the Pantheon)

Weight: 90* Icarus significantly lightened her overall weight, but she's still curvy and pleasant, however quite muscular under those loose outfits, looks a little taller than she is because of the hair...

Hair: Bluish black, natural afro kept positively massive, loves having it braided or done up, usually kept as shown in a large poof

Eyes: Medium Brown, round, interested and keen on details

Appearance: Dark brown skin with small abrasions and scars from power use as well as exploration; keeps a lot of equipment on her person, and somehow doesn't seem to mind any of the added bulk or weight; likes military camo or sturdy clothing, as she does a lot of exploration

Icarus Processing: Yes, at age 3, this process gave her a much stronger overall structure, while cutting her weight a lot; also seems to have broadened her Vortal abilities into different electronic or visible wavelengths where they had normally been only visible light

Genetic Abilities: Lexie bears a strong Vortal suite of empathy, telepathy, and Vortal aura sense, and seems to 'see in colors with no names'. It's part of this sight that allows her to sense electrical energy, specific individuals, power lines, and any other form of energy. She easily sees Keenan even when he's invisible to even strong Pantheon. So not only can she detect those energy signatures, but she can alter them or create her own in almost any wavelength - be it microwaves, infrared, ultraviolet, or radio waves. She cannot properly communicate using most of those, but if she's within a few meters of a sensor or camera, she can change what it sees. Not just her own image, but things around her, can become transparent to sensors, eyes, even Vortigaunts have to do a double-take when she's around. For the most part she uses this power to root out spy sensors, or to locate radio signals so others can tune in on them. Her radio-vision seems to have no limit, she'd complained as a child about all the 'fuzzy weird lines', which turned out to be radio signals bouncing around between satelites and Combine installations, or later BMRC signals. Since she can emulate these wavelengths, all she really needs is to focus on a specific 'fuzzy signal' and remake it nearby - there's no Combine radio that can't be spied on, when she's around. She also uses visible light to entertain and distract, though this wears her out a lot more than if she's just sensing or reimagining signals. Martin has tried to see if she's able to read data, but it looks like she cannot glean much specific information out of raw signals, merely copy/paste them if needed.
Skills or Profession: After a few years post-Icarus (where she did receive the normal complement of educational skills) Lexie was ready for a more concentrated dose of electronics, physics, and theory skills to help her understand how to focus her abilities. She can work with electronics right along with Martin and Jay, and has a custom built sensor device that she can use to 'retune' items to her liking - for instance, a Combine lock or transmitting booth can be 'turned friendly' or attuned so the Resistance can listen in. Along with these things however, she's also enjoyed learning the history of technology, she's a big fan of understanding the world around her - and other worlds. She really wants to visit Xen properly, check up on the equipment left behind on those many voyages, and see if she can't get them into a better tuned state. Her more elder Black Mesa instructors are very keen on this too.
Personality: Wide-eyed and absolutely bushy tailed, Lexie is constantly asking questions and definitely comprehends the answers. She's been compared quite favorably to both Martin and Alyx - and Melissa took a liberty with her new name, as the original version of this girl was also named Alexis... Too confusing! She is helpful to those who need it, and can be 'quiet' but will almost never be 'still'. She has a nervous energy that can only really be released when she's in the field climbing around and scooting through air ducts. Since she's so little, too, that's an activity that she can do without even dropping any dust from those old ducts.
Events or History: Unlike some others in the 'reborn' program, Lexie wasn't artificially aged when she went into Icarus. Melissa believed (correctly) that she needed more time to grow and develop her abilities 'naturally', so she clearly benefitted from the relaxed pace.

Dragon

Name: Signal To Noise, "Signal", or "Siggie"
Gender: Male
Size/Shoulder/Length: Smallish 8'9" s / 38' l / 44' and 40' ws
Colors: Mainly a medium very sooty brown, with paler belly armor, medium shade on diamond-shaped armor and black plates on back, limbs, and tail - all of these are subject to a kind of bleaching, particularly on the tail portion which is brightly white due to the Combine processing and not because of color shifting ability; wingsails are cloudy brown with mottling of darker clumpy brown - they would likely have been a much more richly brown shade than they are now; claws and horns are brilliant white; spots on face, neck, stripes on body and upper tail all can shift in coloration still, reasonably well but rest at brightly reflective white; eyes are coppery red
Features: Hivewing / Rainwing hybrid, Hive dominant, four long and slender legs with 5 and 4 short curved claws; four insect-like wings with veins, visible slender fingers, elbow strut, and stiff wrist thumb all having short claws; body is mainly Hive-like, armored heavily on all parts, but with color-changing spots and lines between most armor plates; head is large and sharp, with significant beak and nose horns, two large back and upswept horns, external ears, and Rainwing-style neck fin frill, Hive-like spikes along entire neck, back, and tail (making him rather difficult to ride if not between horns)
Powers: Winged Flight, Signal can fly very swiftly, but always makes a kind of whirring click sound, a lot like a beetle in motion. He is pretty strong in the air, though, and can maneuver, take off and land all in very tight spots even with the width of his wingspan. Though fast, he tends not to be able to fly for very long distances, so his speed makes up for it. Nor can he handle carrying more than 200kg of goods or people, since Lexie hardly weighs anything he doesn't mind that, but anything more he tends to get imbalanced and fly with a wobble.
Hissing Static, as communication goes, his is... problematic. Lexie and any Vortally-able minds can understand his 'speech', but one of the first things the Combine appear to have done to this dragon is ruin his voice. He lets off a stream of static-like sounds, clicks, humming, and screeches, a lot like an old phone modem. Lexie translates most of what he says, but then again she can hear and see his voice differently than anyone else. With his voice, however, he can also sound out areas and get an idea of the dimensions of a room, what's in it, and report back to Lexie, all at a pitch that nearly no Human and definitely most Vorts cannot hear. Some dragons seem able to hear and speak in ultra-low frequencies, his is ultra-high. Other dragons have difficulty understanding him, when he attempts to speak Draconic, so he usually just keeps to himself, around dragons.
ColorShifting, his minor amount of Rainwing blood mean that he does have a limited ability to move the colors of his spots into a variety of shades, saturations, and brightness. When he's actively hunting, for instance, he can give off not just a static-like hum to sense things, but a glimmering distraction in the colors of a broken television.
Venom Production, since he lacks a stabbing point on his tail (it may have actually been removed in captivity?) he still uses his mouth to just destroy small animals and Combine. He produces a venom that is thick and gooey, not deadly on its own unless left unattended for more than a day or so. In fact it's quite a bit like Komodo spittle, only much thicker. It will eventually rot a living wound until it turns foul, though he usually just delivers a deadly blow to the face or neck of whatever he's hunting to make it quicker. As with some others, he donates this spit on request, so that the medical community and genetic engineers can work on different uses for it.
Parentage: Unknown parents, pure Hivewing mother and likely father was only partial Rainwing, but it's clear that he was in the process of a Combine conversion when he was able to escape - the coloration on his entire body, wingsails, and face are a sort of trademark of the processing (seen also on CP and Plasmid)
Origin: Adopted from Moonshimmer981 on Deviantart, Wings of Fire by Tui Sutherland
Other Info: Though he was definitely a captive of the Combine for a short time, Signal managed to escape all on his own unlike CP and Plasmid requiring guidance. He's stubborn and willful, like many Hivewings, but he knows that he's smaller and 'different' from most of them too. He loves to explore with Lexie, and clearly seeks revenge for his injuries and alterations. When the Combine on the Rookery falls, he will celebrate loud and long - hopefully with a repaired voice, but he's not holding out.
