Dragon
Name: Omagorth
Gender: Male
Size/Shoulder/Length: Massive, Kaiju sized, around 40m (132') at the head when standing on hind legs / 70m (230') head to tail / 120m (~300') wingspan
Colors: Piebald Calico Brown; a liberal mix of white, pale and dark brown, grey-brown on body, backs of wings, and limbs; dorsal ridges and undersides of wings darker brown
Features: Ryslen, triple-xxl sized, with kaiju crest
Powers: Winged Flight (!?) yes, flight. Now fairly, this massive dragon needs to teleport himself up into the air to get going, because lifting off is just so tiresome and takes such a huge amount of effort. Why bother, when you can just appear in mid-air and spread your wings? He heats himself a bit with his atomic power, and that provides, somehow, more lift. He's not exactly 'graceful' in the air, doesn't do a lot of fancy aerobatics, but even just being in his flight wake will knock large creatures, including other large dragons, out of the picture for a while. If anyone dared 'ride' on him, they need to be very, very well equipped to be sitting on a radiation-powered body, but he could easily lift, move, and release an entire population of a settlement and their equipment and housing if he could easily pick it up
Teleportation, when Omagorth wants to be somewhere he'll be there. He displaces a massive amount of water or air when he arrives or leaves, however, so that massive sonic boom you just heard echoing across the bay? Yeah that was probably him coming home with new parts for his nest.
Amphibious, able to remain submerged for extended periods though he tends to swim just a few meters below the surface with his undulating crocodile swimming leaving a very unique wake above. While he doesn't mind deep waters, and explores eagerly, there's not a lot very deep that he really wants, unless he detects something radioactive. He does like remaining at least a little damp, but it's usually burnt off if he's walking around on land. He does like the moist heavily radioactive Fog that surrounds the Island, even if it's been coaxed away there are still huge pockets of the stuff and yes he will 'vacation' in Atom's Spring now and then. (If by 'sticking a literal foot in the radioactive spring because that's all that fits'... is lounging)
Telepathy, He does occasionally announce himself to other dragons, and to some of the humans or even other creature-people that are around Gulper. He is not antagonistic but anyone who has felt his mind lurking near theirs will feel slightly sunburnt from the heat of it. This is usually coupled with an amount of vocalization, he can easily be heard from the middle of Gulper if he's 'talking to himself', he has a grumbling and deeply resonant voice that can reach to the mainland with a large breath, but he doesn't verbally speak at all, just sounds of anger, enjoyment, hunger, and the like
Durability and Regeneration, even grievously hurt they will heal very quickly, with smaller injuries healed completely in a day. Given more radiation, he can speed this process, but it exhausts him
Radiation Absorption, the ambient rads of Vault Earth are like rolling around on plush carpet for this kaiju-dragon. It enables him to power up his breath weapon into a super-beam, but also aids in healing and overall well being. With a small amount of it contained in, say, a 55gal drum he might pop that into his great maw as a snack, and as such he's doing the local population of people a favor whenever he finds a buried or sunken cache of radioactive waste or an engine that still ticks with its dangerous energy
Atomic Breath Weapon, his brilliant electric-blue blast of energy is sparingly used, but when he does use it, you know he's either very angry or very protective. He will gulp down half a shipment of radioactive materials and just glow with it, and if that doesn't warn off any enemies - some are animals and don't get it, others are stupid humans that should be 'meat to be wasted'. He can crisp-fry things up to the size of that airship he lives in, living things just pop, and all electronics are fried. The air smells weird when he's let it off, too, as if the very terrain and wind carries a scar. His beam at full strength is accurate to 'where he is looking' at up to a kilometer away, and if he's in flight while using it, you can see a long line of steam and burnt cloud material following its entire path for miles

Skills or Profession: If you could call a dragon this size a 'tinkerer', that might be close. He acts as a retrieval and destruction or repurposing unit, finding rubble or downed craft, anywhere from about 5 miles inland on the mainland to 5 miles down in the ocean nearby. He can sort through large objects like the zeppelin remains and broken structures, filtering out little things that those humans might like to use, once they're scrubbed of rads. Yes this means he stands there shaking out the building onto the ground below. Littering it with couches, now-broken tables, fridges, safes, whatever. But the bigger bits he keeps for himself, tweaking them over time. This does make some very unusual noises, echoing across the bay. If that's heard by human ears, they should know to stay well clear...
Current Location: Vault Earth, off the mainland in north-eastern Maine next to Far Harbor's Gulper Island (also known as Hardwood Island). Omagorth has a 'nest' built in the heavily irradiated water on the coastline just west of Gulper, that brown thing in the water is his home. He has been busy off the shore putting together a massive nest, almost a hotel, with those pieces of wall, structural beams, metal and plastic, wiring, anything that he can fuse together with a little of his own radiation heat. Other dragons and some of the synth creatures, including Supermutants and Ghouls, might be able to visit this location when he's done and approves of it.

Events or History: Arrived 'somehow', to this place where the rads are nice and toasty and there's plenty of stuff to bend into interesting shapes. Leftover air liners, ships, tankers, bridges, destroyed coastal structures, you name it. The shallow bay between the mainland to the west and Gulper Island is just so nice, it's like a warm bath -if the bath is heated by leftover rads, which it is.
Whether he has a goal of making an offshore resort for rad-resistant dragons and their riders, mmmmaaaaaybe? It's more for himself right now. But there is plenty of space carved out by his great claws, room enough for a regular sized full grown dragon just from a little bit of pottery-style prodding of the weakened metals.
Some day in the not-too-distant future, maybe when Gulper's synths have settled in more and there are a thriving population of dragons wanting it, his nest will become a real hotel... |
