Taking a hint from Wonder's Wonders, House Domina's magical school year is technically speaking 'year round', without a very long formal 'summer break'. But their students still get a very good amount of time off in the 'peak holiday' seasons, with time for trips, vacations, and just time for themselves as needed. It is technically a '7 year' school, with students receiving their formal summons and approval sessions at around age 10, or earlier if they are really impressive - or their parents really need their kid to have advanced training. Graduation is usually when the student has passed all final exams with at least a 'passing' percentage. Some students won't make much of themselves, while others may go on to truly dominate their field of study. *
Since moving from That Old Universe to Twoarth, Zora has realized that while there are certain dangers she and her students and staff no longer need to deal with, and ... more paperwork than she's used to. But with the help of locals and folks who will sometimes wind up being tapped for future legal wrangling (or instructing!) she's got the school fully accredited and capable of putting students directly into colleges with all their studies intact, as well as the work force with a valid high school diploma - in addition to that magical one.
So it does mean that their 'mundane' studies are taken care of by a group of 'we know you're wizards just let us teach math and science the old way okay' folks, while their magical classes are taught by their fully magical professors. Their daily classes are still somewhat magic-heavy, but most students have at least one block of 2 hours per day that has mundane-focused testing and instruction, tutoring, and even job placement assistance when they are needed.
*Zora might also start stealing CHS's grading range, since she's already busy in both locations and is quite familiar with their fail/pass/decent type grading system. Now getting the other professors fully on board is her goal.
