Name: Etrih (EH tree) Gender/Expression/Preference: n/a / He/They / n/a Age: Several thousand years awake, unknown actual date of creation (see Daton's page) Species: Galdur, created in a factory out of extremely clean parts; bipedal 'flexible arms' model Family: All Galdur can transmit and connect to one another, and in some cases form stronger pair bonds if needed; Etrih and Daton share such a bond Friends/Associates: the Moths are an excellent family to have chosen, don't you think? But also Etrih has an extensive set of connections among the industrial groups resposible for sound and equipment, which he uses to supply, fix, or replace the group's stage systems when needed Height: as shown 5'10" but can expand legs, lower torso/spine, and neck to become over 8'; Build: heavy lower leg pieces offer balance and solid weights to remain stable while expanding height, and upper body is also filled with Flow circuitry and runeworks, so while they are definitely 'heavy' it's in the right places so they won't fall through flooring or lose their balance Hair: none Eyes: glowing yellow, fitted with 'emote capable lids' Appearance: A Galdur made of what looks like highly specialized parts, unusual around most rural areas where rust and found-pieces are common for their kind. Their arms and legs, bits of torso, and neck areas (including their fingers and 'ears') are made of a carbon-fiber / rubbery substance and can expand with a wobbly but stable motion, and can then go stiff and maintain a direction or posture. Their other pieces made of shiny plastic, glass, and metal include 'boots' that contain storage for tools, while hands, chest, and head pieces have sound sensing and production ability. The Flow in purple becomes brighter and darker often with the beat or any particular noise going on. Their voice is quite musical, something that those 'rocker pods' aspire to... |

Skill Set: Sound Engineer; while this seems somewhat specific, they had been in storage for a very long while, preserved in pristine condition and with their Oneness well established before that point. Etrih can give sub- or ultra-sonic pings to an area, and run a loud (or very soft, depending on if you can even hear the frequencies) system test to check the local acoustics and make adjustments to the setting as needed. They carry a lot of thin fiber material that works to dampen or reflect sounds, which is then taken back into their storage after each show. Etrih also helps set up the seating, making sure that 'the ones that pay more have good sound but no one has bad sound!' Generally speaking if there is a mechanical item needing repairs, they can make them, and they're adept enough with Flow runes that Etrih is able to understand any given enchanted item or locale. In a studio setting (he wishes that they had a permanent one) he's able to record, mix, balance, and produce finalized recordings. The data is stored somewhere in his head... Former Path: not different from his current one, though it's obvious that he was working with more advanced Human technology and Runeworks before he was put into storage, as he sometimes laments how broken things are now Current Path: although 'Path' is the Majiri name for it, his 'job' and 'Oneness' all revolve around the making, dampening, refining, and use of sound. That squeaky wheel on the caravan? It's fixed now, just a touch of oil here and here see? Star Stone: not applicable |

Seasonal Type: Though clearly not born in a specific season like any Galdur, Etrih seems to have a 'Mud' type... That's right, mud - but blending the best of Earth and Water types mean that he's practical and somewhat stubborn, but also introspective and a touch on the sad side given the state of things (he thinks that everything could be more shiny... clean, and fixed up a bit) Personality Traits: Energetic enough when setting up, but truly enjoys the results of their efforts. Their Oneness is all about sound, not just music, so Etrih has an appreciation for the murmur of a distant stream as well as the bustle and noise of a busy city street. They're given to moods of melancholy, but not doubt. Etrih truly believes that a civilization will only end if they no longer have music. (Glares in Galdur at those Vocorr people... you stay away from my Moths.) Creature Association: Favorite Food: Not applicable, but it seems like if he did have one, it would probably be a Flowtato Fries and Bean Burger combo - something typically available at concerts! |

Place of Origin: a Galdur factory that was likely not even on the same continent at the time. But was put into storage at some point and spent a very long time awaiting redeployment. Etrih woke himself when he heard the thrum of power coming back on. Events or History: Had wandered for a long while, following the sounds of civilization and collecting information as well as the occasional person. From the local Galdur he learned of many things - the cataclysm, the demise of their creator humans, the rise of the Majiri. The arrival of the Grimalkin, and then finally the reappearance of humans. All of this takes a background role though, because through it all, Etrih is a master of sound and its creation, manipulation, and use. He is helpful to all, even sometimes to the beasts that are hunted - that one has offspring, you don't kill her. This one is weak and older, walking with a limp, you can attract it to your trap. Like Daton has a myriad images tucked away in their memory banks, Etrih's runeworks allow him to store all of the sounds - from a simple footstep to a complicated aria - and put them back into the world before they fade from biological memory. He is responsible for the Moths' recordings, helping to pick and choose among their best works - they're all good! And when given the right equipment and supplies, Etrih is capable of imprinting analog recordings for replaying on those adorable ancient music boxes. He does feel that digital recordings are 'better and more detailed in quality' but also that analog 'has more spirit'. Etrih has come along with the Moths on their tours and is entirely happy with this arrangement, his Oneness is full to the brim. |
