Appearance: Kind Wolf, a four-footed version of a person, as shown. Though this is rare among Wyldkin, her family easily accepts her and encouraged her to become more of a diplomat and work with people. She has shifter genes which she doesn't talk much about, but she does talk, and this also allows her the ability to grow thumbs that are fully functional on her forepaws.

Spell Magic

While some in her family are fully capable of doing traditional Spell Magic, she can cast only specific types of spells, and uses this knowledge to teach others with similar physical configurations. Ritual magic and large-scale location spells that don't require hand gestures, or that exploit animal-feature abilities such as carving in the dirt, creating specific scents or using living wood and creatures, are her specialty.

There are hints that some Kind have extremely specific spellcasting abilities, and she's been looking for others who can add to her knowledge base.

Four Footed But Still A Person - quite a few Kind Wyldkin cannot do what she does: speak. This is an ability that any given person should have, but limited by beaks, fangs, and the like for other four-footed versions of normally upright Kin. However she also has an entirely different view of life from her lower-to-the-ground profile. She can use 'wolfy' skills and senses, in addition to those found among more bipedal people, things which might have been considered crass such as smelling a wall or cocking her head to get a different sound location. She doesn't require magic or shifting to speak, but she does need a touch of that ability that her ancestry has in order to grow thumbs. Her dexterity is still somewhat limited, but she can still hold things, write to a reasonable degree, turn pages in books, or hang on to small items. All of those are very important for spells, and had she been unable to use her thumbs her life would be very different right now

Psionics - from both sides of her family line are strong elemental psionics. The colors on her fur mark her as very different indeed, but both of her parents were green too! And also *very strong!* She has several abilities that get used commonly but also a number lingering in her genetics which might surface eventually, and can be reinforced with some training with great-grandparents and grampa. She does have a basic ability with familial telepathy, knowing when any relative - descendants of those great-grandparents shown - is around, and able to ping them even across dimensions if they're literally those shown.

-- Blood Psionics - she is quite capable of breeding with virtually any other equitably sized or configured person, and this isn't just because she'd be diggin the doggy style. It's because she has a long family history of being able to detect life, sense injuries, healing, and self-alteration. She is partly human, partly animistic Convocation, shapeshifter, and all - but it's her Wyldkin queen ancestor with the strongest ability with Blood that lives on in her. She can detect at a distance up to 50 meters any creature that has 'blood', not other fluids such as xenomorphs or insects or even intelligent machinery might sport. Able to assess an injury on sight with a skill, she can also place paws onto the area and begin mending broken bone, stopping bleeding, and at least briefly healing ulcers or internal injuries. Some are beyond her skill, she does need to know a bit about the breed she's working with first. Alternately she can also negatively affect blood-born creatures, inflicting minor but extremely painful wounds that, while temporary as they will heal within a few hours, may give her or her friends time to get away or formulate different tactics in the field.

-- Life Psionics - In addition to her sensing of blood-based creatures, she can assess their condition in terms of emotion and overall exhaustion, mood, or urgency of a condition. Her dimension hopping power also means she needs to self-regulate for temperature, balance, and perception needs, if she winds up on a world with different conditions or lighting, though these changes if needed (such as 'seeing farther into ultraviolet' or 'growing heavier paw pads from the very cold surface') are temporary and will revert to their normal state once she leaves that dimension.

-- Plant Psionics - her mother is a plant and earth psionicist, a natural talent. While Mint doesn't have much in the way of altering ground or soil, she does have the ability to nurture small plants from seeds or spores, into their fully grown form. She works mainly with fungi and herbs, literally-small plant life rather than sprawling trees or things which would require a lot of space to cultivate such as grains and orchards. She doesn't deal much with water-based plants other than those which float at the surface of ponds or streams. However she can detect all plant life and plant-adjacent life larger than fungi spores at distances up to 50 meters, and under 10 meters with very strong clarity of knowing exactly what they are and what life stage they are in. She can wither and wilt grown plants even outside her chosen types, only to a small area, but that small area can be 'right at this particular tap root' which may topple even the most giant redwood. A severed root will attempt to regrow but time will tell... Mint's ability with herbs is partly responsible for her name, coloration aside, as she can distill and mix them psionically in a sort of telekinetic 'bending', once they're in a format that is appropriate for brewing or rendering. Brings out the most effect in medicinals and flavors, but can also mask their flavors or scents for a ... special surprise attack if you're not expecting to be poisoned. Yes, that's a Lane Ravenheart request, shhh.

Genrehopping and Dimension Movement - many of her ancestors have visited numerous dimensions, not-earths, and planets that are in distant galaxies. She can concentrate on this and knows by just standing in a place for a few moments, where exactly she is in relation to where she had been. 'this earth only its a tiny bit faster on the rotation', or 'it smells like plastic and cleaning fluid oh no this is a cartoon'. She can move at will from dimensions that she knows well enough - such as Dragondeep in her home at Wolfholde or another of their varied vacation homes, to Carramba High, or House Domina - but does require a few hours to fully recover the ability and go home. Combined with her strong perception and knowledge, can understand and notice when someone is out of place, and looks over her students easily spotting the hoppers and reality shifters among them.

Clusters

Royal Clutter +6 anything that might involve debate, diplomacy, psychology, law, and relations among various factions or social strata, she is quite good at. When the only thing you can really 'do' is talk, rather than stand up or dance with a partner or - you get good at it

Natural Born Psionics +3 though not as staggeringly strong as some in her family, what she does do is tempered by skill and clever usage. Always working out ways that she can solve a problem before anyone notices she's not using hands, that's bonus points

Skills

"Look At That, A Talking Dog" +5 she has heard every single joke, but then again on either Dragondeep or Twoarth this is not even an issue. Though on both, it's not fully expected that a four-footer actually speak in intelligible words. That one time she started up a conversation with a non-anthro husky and only realized he wasn't really speaking in English (at least, more than 'you smell good there is food and it's too hot on the beach for me') when he started barking at the local chihuahua... She can pick up on subtle accents and differences in speech patterns, but also this is part of her Howl Caw Scratch class, body language and scents, head tilts and tail flops, everything contributes to how non-bipeds or non-humanoids communicate

Discerning Scents and Senses +3 that nose is not just for show like her gramma's is. Her ears and nose, and to a degree whiskers or guard hairs on her body and tail, are quite sensitive and she has dedicated a good amount of time to memorizing herbs, dirt, pollens and spore scents, anything that a dog or wolf might be able to detect she now has a name, file, and samples of. These are mostly for classes and the ritual magic they might perform, but she also has some sitting around for flavorings and spicing up foods

Multidimensional Instructions +3 When she puts teams together for class events, she makes sure to select folks that are from different backgrounds, be it 'mars and venus and earth' or 'zekira and ketvaozh and the arboreosphere', she knows where they're from and what each type of kid or culture will bring to the table

Can Read Magic And Not Speak It Out Loud By Mistake +3 In all her years of watching mages on Dragondeep and some on Twoarth make this horrible error in judgement, at least she doesn't try sounding out words that are unfamiliar when they're from a book of spells...

Sometimes She Pretends Though +3 Speaking in barks and whines, using those eyebrows and ears to wheedle something special from a kitchen or a passing tourist... Oh heck yes you have a bacon cheeseburger. Can has? Never let it be said she doesn't enjoy having a little fun!

Skills and Profession: raised among royalty as well as rabble - given her ancestry is a patchwork quilt of whatever the worlds throw together, Mint represents herself well as a bridge between many things. Cultures, breeds and species, Kin and Skin alike. If anyone raises an eyebrow or even a sneer in her direction, she will know it, and be able to counter it with either her own snark and a gentle but firm copper colored stare, or a carefully worded question about why one would deride royalty in their own home? She's practiced at instruction, but also knows how to learn ritual magic and non-Dragondeep skills to aid her students. Good at psychology as well as debate.

Possessions: Because she is part of the royal Wolf family on Dragondeep her possessions are technically "Wyldqueen Province" should her family line somehow eventually dwindle to her. It won't, trust us on that, but she does have the run of the place. Several homes, vaction and hunting, as well as a suite in the expansive Wolfholme keep, and an occasional hotel room rented when she's traveling more distantly across Dragondeep. In any of those she'll have a wall full of jars and preserves, vials and bottles, boxes and pouches with all the assorted herbs and whatnot, as well as a comfortable pile of sleeping furs, and a small bookshelf with actual books on it. The same goes for her Twoarth location, which is technically rented from one of the Alabaster companies that has refitted spots for dragon rider activity, the only real difference is electric lighting and a much different skyline.

She is also now looking at either the Gelgelan Eminence or even the much more private Never-Ending Grotto for a new semi-temporary spot, because yes, of course the royal family knows there are offworld dragons on Dragondeep don't be stupid. If she does find an actual 'dragon dragon' (and not her dimunitive Terigon friend who is still a dragon...) to help raise and become another larger cohort, one of those spots will be where it will reside. Probably Gelgela, honestly, since their royalty are also all dragon riders...

Personality: though one might not call her exactly 'gregarious' she is definitely social and witty, and up front about herself in ways that may surprise some. Since she was raised with the idea that it is not shameful to be Kind, just slightly inconvenient, it's what you do and how you behave around people that will make or break your relationships. Confident, enjoyable, and reliable.

History: Her family is what one might call 'varied' and 'storied' at the same time. Her mother, the Kind wolf Lilly who had been born in a location of the Wylds known as The Valley, was exiled as a young cub - a symptom of their xenophobia as she was born to a pair of Full Fur Kin. This was brought to Wynette's attention who brought it to Wynnah's when Lucian, her father, discovered Lily and her situation. Talks are ongoing about this. A cub is not a criminal.

Lily however is still somewhat bitter about the whole thing, but now enjoys her life among the royals - and a tiny bit of that has rubbed off on her daughter with the Shifter Lucian... Mint learned so much from her mother about herbs and medicinals, but was woefully unable to perform even the most basic of sand- or earth-manipulation. Then again, Lily doesn't have the power to grow thumbs.

As a cubling born to a Shifter and a Kind, she was not-quite-coddled by her grandfather Lane Ravenheart, born Kind and is also much more than merely a Shifter himself. He knows how she can move between worlds, he knows why everyone can sense her presence when she pops into the realm. From him, as a youth and not a cub, she learned much about this interdimensionality. With him she went jaunting, not just across Dragondeep visiting his favored haunts (while he was ... well, let's say earning his keep as an assassin and spy shhhh) but from one world to another. He saw how her senses lit up and gave careful instruction about how to separate that one smell of redwood from this other very similar one but we're not on Dragondeep any more.

Her grandmother's parents - the royals of disparate locations - encouraged Mint to 'be who she is'. Wynette is one of three half-human children born to the Wyld Queen and the King of Copper Falls, and while not doting, she definitely enjoys her time with all the grandkids and cousins. She made sure that Bart had tools for the Kind - with or without thumbs - to be made. Many of those tools are in use at Carramba now, for just these classes of kids to thrive.

Time has a strange way of moving, around the Nexus worlds like Twoarth, like Dragondeep. The constant shuffling of species through the halls at CHS in particular led to one little bitty four-footer finding his way into Mint's class. Now, to be fair, he was not a cub. He was not quite an adult Terigon yet but who could possibly have told the difference? He's barely bigger than a large cat, what with the extra floofy tail and the fact that he has wings. But most cats (well, most four footed ones) on Twoarth don't talk to you either. In words that anyone can understand. Nor do they have telepathic abilities! Indeed, they also can't tag along on dimension hopping field trips! Yet here we are!

Abilities: Winged Flight, quick and silent in the air, and since he is a smol there are so many opportunities for perching, taking off and landing are hardly an issue. He zips around the ceilings and rafters when needed, carrying his recording gear and lets his class partner ** choose where to aim for interviews and maybe a little bit of subterfuge
Teleportation local and Nexus, got where he is by homing in on 'that place he needs to be', though his dimensional travel is exhausting and for emergency use only, he can teleport like nobody's business. Even Lane enjoys sending him on jaunts so that the rest of the class can learn how to keep up! - and yes he ... knows that there are more than one Lane out there, and now that he's been introduced to Mint's family he can definitely see the similarities, but the First Period Teleportation instructor is definitely not a feline!!
Verbal Speech and Telepathy, has a large vocabulary and is quite smart, and uses his words very carefully when doing interviews. Though he can certainly fact-check in other ways, he also tends to be a little bit invasive in his mental ear-to-the-wall tactics. There is a reason he's not in the 'Using Telepathy Politely' class...
