Age: 40? Effectively immortal species that grows slowly and more frilly with age so he's actually pretty young

Height: 6'7" fully upright, 14' nose to tail tip, would have an 18' wingspan if only...

Weight: around 300, hard to tell, impossible to get him on a scale

Hair: dark red crest and back/tail fins, also wing membrane

Appearance: scaled skin in brown with brilliant red markings, long tail with several obvious scars, and is missing his right wing entirely due to a run-in with water Fey as a child (it could not be regrown thanks to the magical nature of the attack)

Movement: Average ground speed; fast Swimming; would have been able to have an average flight speed but cannot do much with only one wing, so he now uses it for balance and Climbing (Average speed, mostly cliffs and trees and ship masts)

Weapons: typically uses nets and fishing spears, harpoons, and machetes. He's better at fishing than he is at fighting, however he can do those things on even the choppiest of waves, and using hand held weapons is remarkably good with them underwater. He does not use armor, but his own skin is quite thick and protects him from chill as well as minor cutting and impale weaponry.

Skills and Profession: adept as a shipmate, he quickly assumed the duties of keeping the records for the cargo and payments, having learned from Colart. He is surprisingly good with numbers and maths, but also very good at fixing simple injuries, diagnosing sickness and diseases, and plucking nasty parasites from the varied crew's skin or scales when Adalbert is busy. Since Adalbert also has a clinic in the Grotto, if he's not on board, Gidun also assumes the role of medic, since the records are easily kept and don't take much actual time. He likes these duties, leaving many ports with new knowledge and skills if they have an extended stay for repairs. He is responsible for making sure that the ship's cargo is accounted for, the infirmary well stocked, and everyone is paid on time.

Personality: Surprisingly genial and outgoing for a Dragonkin, as well surprising that he is as kindly as he is after sustaining a life-threatening and definitely life-altering attack as a youth. He has a very good bedside manner, aided by his psionic ability. Overall he is a good guy and pleasant crewman. One thing he will not tolerate however is the presence of Fey creatures anywhere near 'his' ship, and should one be spotted, he will aggressively pursue its demise.
Possessions: The only things he values are the gear and goods that serve the crew, he bunks in the chamber nearest the Captain's. His accounting and books are in the Captian's library and he has full access to this room at all times. When they do port back at the Grotto, he is starting to assemble a few other books and trinkets, and has mastered the warehouse that they have there in order to keep its contents correctly assessed.
 

History: Gidun had a knack for sensing and affecting the water currents, and was actually expected to be trained for creche and egg care. But when the creche was attacked and he was left with half a wing and a sour taste for it, he sought out other venues for his life. He was not yet 30 when he met Colart and his small group, and realized that they could use his expertise with not only fixing up minor medical woes, but keeping track of their cargo. Passing by the ship he happened to glance at their dock and noticed a couple crates had fallen into the waters unnoticed, retrieved them, and became one of the crew almost instantly.

Steadily he has become the Captain's right hand, or perhaps left, since Colart often stands in defense of his weaker right side... Gidun enjoys the companionship of the crew, and since he's still somewhat on the young side he treats them as 'his' creche of siblings - since he lost all of his own blood relatives, why not?

Gidun has also enjoyed writing down the adventures and quips of the crew, some of them are quite funny and he will bring up embarrassing or hilarious moments when the group seems to need a chuckle. He doesn't fancy himself a playwright but his accurate accounts of events are often taken by others with more flair, and are used as the basis for their theater performances.

As the ship arrived at numerous ... rather odd ports that he'd never heard of (and he would often look at R'pau's maps, where were they?) and began attracting the 'off world' dragons that they befriended at those ports, Gidun realized that he could also serve as a friend or bond to one of those dragons. He doesn't exactly resent the local dragon population, but ... there were several nearby when the Fey attacked his egg group, and though he called for their aid, they didn't bother with their 'lesser' bipedal brothers. Maybe... maybe a different kind of dragon would be suitable to help make sure their ship, crew, and home port in the Grotto are safe from harm.

A purple female with opal speckles had snuck quietly away during that last bonding. It was difficult to hide but it would be worth it to surprise her intended bond. Gidun Launches from the Prow, "Gid" to his friends, could feel something approach him but played along and acted very surprised when Jalanuth finally jumped him from behind.
"I caught you!" she squealed.
"That you did." the dragonkin replied and led her away to get food.

Elemental Water Magic, a strong ability mostly used for sensing and gently moving currents, as well as her bond's proficiency with purification
Prismatic Breath Weapon, due to her 'sire' being of an Opal court she has the ability to create sparkling and hypnotic breath
