220 – Paniya colonized by largely Kenyan-appearing people. They take up residence on the huge savannah-plain in central Paniya, hunting and growing coffee, mostly. Some use fitharin to transport goods to the coast, though most use skirr. Those who live more on the coasts keeping up trade routes also fish and use sea nettle spines to catch larger fish.
251 – The first coffee plants truly come into play. Large amounts of it are exported by the coastal population, and in trade give the inlanders fine tiburon-skin leather and alis-gryph eggs.
280-285 – Gryphons are bonded by a scattered few inhabitants, mainly among the cheetah-gryph population. One or two bond to the vulture-hyena gryphs and are known as outcasts among their people.
300 – N’someka Aerie is named at last, and though the vulture-gryph is bred there as well as the cheetah-gryphs, they are still considered remarkably rare and of a less desirable type.
335 – House Chagga is established, on the far west end of the plains and on the south . This is the first actual House to be rooted on Paniya, and is still dominated by merchantry and coffee production. Very little else is on the minds of Chaggan folk. They are remarkably adept at dealing with people, money and bartering. Their coffee blends are well known, and they are some of the first to get chocolate from Catena. It is still the most major trading port on this isle.
354 – Ants first bridge the water from the north-east. By 360 the vulture-bonders establish themselves in a better light by containing this menace.
360-380 – Visitors to House Chagga remain on Paniya and establish other small clans and Houses. Most involve trading, pottery making, weaving and textile production, leatherworking and the like catch on only on the far west area of the Isle, as domesticated herd animals and overgrazing are forbidden on the main central plains by the N’somekans.
416 – House Tsan Nu established as a silk-worm plantation in the hilly area west of Chagga. They produce fine woven goods as well as raw products for export, but remain a very small House. Their members rarely open their doors to strangers, however when Dawnlight weavers introduce themselves much later, they are very eager to adopt dye techniques from them. These two Houses get along famously and Dawnlight usually handles the more mundane work-a-day while the Tsan Nu folk do the bartering and monitary work.
492* – Triptych Clan establishes itself on the north-east side of the isle. They are a loose band of human shapeshifters hailing from who-knows-where originally, with links to several other Nexus-accessable locations such as Zekira and Twoarth. Their main base of operations is a large purple-watered lake... or is it? because most people who are not of their bloodline cannot even detect its power.
--Deprecated for the most part since Triptych are their own thing - They are immediately intertwined with the gryphon bonders of N’someka, and in fact many intermarry. Their Clan is much darker today in skin and hair color than it was at this point, for that reason. Most of them concentrate on herbalism, animal training, and wandering performance, though others are quite domestic. *note this year has been altered, it had been 432 but that's way too early.
503 – Rampage Plants first spore on the northern coast. Dragons brought in from other Isles and Caers, but do not reside on the island permanently.
519 – House Faustas plops down on the northern side of Mt Gherna (encircle, battlement - Hindi), and begins a slow land-grab for much of the Triptych area. The House does a lot of medical work, and ostensibly this was their original reason for requesting the Triptych folk become part of their House. (Their true reasons are far less kindly. They have followed the Triptych from the original worlds where Trippers are found, and exist on all of those dimensions along side as their 'bad guys', and this world is no exception.)
533 – Qalam born. At age 12 he bonds to Istzhok, a blue. By age 15 he has become a records-keeper for his Caer.
536 – Tirin born to one of the more settled Triptych clan. She bonds at age 13 to a large gryph named Malice on another isle, but returns to Paniya.
555 – Caer Paniya is finally established. The isle of Mak, nearby where Qalam bonded, has been overrun after losing a number of dragons to Rampage, and the Caer follows Qalam as their new leader.
561 – Kshau Protectorate arrives from the "Old World". Due to influence of psionic folk among them, they are immediately accepted by the locals. Caer Blackstone is put up in the western mountain, where the huge numbers of non-Alskyran dragons reside. Though the dragons can still fly and perform transport duties, the locals seem to shun them for inclusion in their ranks. It is clear they are no longer the dominant beasts on their new home, but wherever they fly, the Old Blood dragons now have unassisted firebreath and strong interdimensional teleportation, as well as occasionally having learned verbal human speech. The Paniyan dragons on rare occasions interbreed with these more unusual ones causing many new color ranks to appear among the Old Blood dragon broods. The Protectorate uses the south-western island as their new base of operations while upon Alskyr. This isle is more than 8 times larger than their original mesa, and they use it wisely. Most Kshau wanderers, Eden’s Gate inhabitants and common folk from Blackstone live on this island, having made the transition with their dragon
riding bretherin. Dawnlight and its holders and inhabitants reside in a newly established area north west of Chagga, and engage in much trade with Tsan Nu as well. The most successful so far of the Kshau folk is Alabaster, with their dragons but also their extremely powerful psionic leadership.
-- Deprecated due to moving Furries - Mama Tani's odd collection of furry 'people' wound up on the south coast, however many of those riders have since left for other worlds or Nexus. Some mentions of this small cothold are still found, and at times it seems that the furless version of many riders seem like ghosts where the place was settled
561 late – Alabaster Aerie is established almost immediately, utilizing the diving-bird nests near the tower. Tirin becomes Aerielady almost immediately. Utilizing the holders and common folk who had impressed before or during this move to Alskyr, Caledrus Hold is annexed and over the years becomes a true Weyrhold like Alabaster's dragonry nearby.
565 – Alabaster Cove established when the first sea dragons approach this new habitation.
570 - House Ablan remains a small cherry-farming and dragon-housing town, which has odd connectivity to the Zekiran culture. Formerly known as House Paveh, that kind of just... vanished, in favor of a more subtle Nexus link with the healers and vintners of this town.
-- Deprecated due to moving Zekiran base folk back to the DMZ - House Paveh is established; runnerbeasts cannot compete with the many legged creatures found natively here, so they also diverge back to their roots; had been much earlier in timeline
577-578 - Alabaster Aerie holds the Egg Fest which distributes almost a hundred gryphons of the varying Paniyan breeds around the world and offworld.
590ish - current (this time) date, with numerous 'next generation' kids from a variety of Houses, Clans, Holds, and Guilds forming the basis for the new rider lists.
