Welcome to the TsanNu Fashion House!

What? You say you've never been to the House before? Well you are in for a treat. Some of the most talented weavers, tanners, tailors and models on Paniya are found right here in this elegant House.

Mind that you don't touch anything unless it touches you first. Including the models, their hair, dresses, pets, or bodyguards. And you will want to touch them. For they are lovely, everything from the Fashion House has a distinct air of elegance, beauty, a hint of whimsy.

For many decades, TsanNu barely allowed any outsiders into its halls. Until the Kshau Protectorate arrived, and they found a strong connection with the dye-makers and silk cloth fashions of Dawnlight. Both Houses benefit from their contact, and now both Houses are proud to display their wares in a much more visible way than they ever had before.

While Dawnlight often supplies the models and tailoring, TsanNu usually provides the raw materials and expert weaving and embroidery. Both Houses trade with Paniyans and foreign Islanders alike now - something quite limited to the lesser quality works in times past.

It was because of the joining in creative efforts between these two Houses that a particular pair of inhabitants were drawn together. Lady Gwendolin Roth of Dawnlight and Chief Designer Onnoran Akuno of TsanNu met when they were both in their late teens, at a gathering to train each House's inhabitants in how best to negotiate their deals. Since both Houses had very strictly limited contact with outsiders at that point, meetings were awkward at best, but warmed quickly with the understanding that each had its secrets and valued the other's enough not to pry for them.

Those secrets were shattered - or perhaps mingled - when Gwen and Onnoran first met eyes. Onnoran saw a green-eyed woman with creamy skin and golden hair, shy and demure but intelligent and confident in her own field. Gwendolin enjoyed watching the handsome tan-skinned raven-haired weaver as he spoke carefully about his craft, catching his own very green eyes in the process.

Everyone at the gathering knew they had fallen in love the moment they met. And what a love! If a better match had ever been made in the history of either House, no one knew it. Their professional meetings grew in number over the next few months, and within the year they were seeing each other in carefully arranged - and observed - locations determined by their parents. Partially due to the fact that both Dawnlight and TsanNu had restricted contact, their parents also seemed to get along well enough, they were cordial and knew that their whole House was represented in their behaviors.

Their children behaved perfectly, while under the watchful eye of their chaperones. And the moment they were left alone, they continued to behave themselves. They had more on their minds than hormones after all - both were quite talented in their fields, and both knew they could benefit more than just a little from a relationship.

Married only two years after they'd met, both twenty, it was decided they would have a home in both Dawnlight and TsanNu. As Onnoran was the only child of his parents he had space to grow in their home, and as the eldest of a reasonably large family and the daughter of a twin the Roth household was granted plenty of land in their Holdings. They opened a business in TsanNu's shop area which quickly spread to other locations: it wasn't enough to just have perfectly woven silks and cottons, it wasn't enough to have beautifully dyed bolts of cloth. It was not quite enough still, that they prospered enough to have three sets of twins in half a decade.

Their daughters, all identical twins and all born just two and a half years apart, would be the perfection they were seeking. With rich brown hair, vibrant green eyes, and golden tan skin, the girls prospered in so many ways that even the stubborn elders of TsanNu admitted they were the brightest addition to the House in the era. Intelligent, witty and charming - but also properly trained to be sly, observant and gentle - the girls each had their own flair and personality, but all were immediately recognizable as Akuno-Roth.

And in time, they came to embody the best of both worlds from which their parents came. Easily told apart because of their dramatic stylistic differences, yet should they choose to hide their hair and dress alike not even the five-year difference between eldest and youngest can be detected.

They do this, often enough to keep people on their toes. The girls now range in age from twenty to fifteen, and each is being groomed for their niche in the Akuno-Roth fashion empire.

That is, until the dragon riders came...
