Liran, oh, Liran. When her sister Gwonnor was old enough to dress her younger sisters up, Liran was the one who insisted she also do their hair. And if they played the same game more than once a week, Liran would certainly let someone know she was bored out of her mind. Not so demure as the others, Liran had to work fairly hard to contain her excitement or moodiness whenever things happened in the House. It was no surprise, then, that Liran was a favorite grandchild on the Dawnlight Roth side, whereas a bit of a disappointment (in terms of behavior expectations) on her Akuno TsanNu side.

She preferred to dye colors to her expectations, and hardly any silk passed her hands that wasn't bright and boldly patterned. It almost disappointed her that her own family rarely wears such bright prints, however she knows that the folks in Dawnlight - and around the world - love them a lot. She very much takes after her auntie Gella Roth, who was known for fashions that were sexy and alluring, as well as eye-catching. If ... if only she had a dragon, she would be able to visit Auntie Gella more often!

Her life was not quite without a dark side, like many in a high-intensity industry such as fashion. When her first designs were premiered it seemed, there was an issue with someone who claimed she had the same ideas on the runway - and accused Liran of stealing them! Her family knew better than to think she'd have ever done such a thing, of course, but the memory of that incident has remained a sore spot, and Liran won't attend shows at which her rival is scheduled to appear.

She among her sisters prefered to wander the markets, seeing who wore what, how function dictated fashion in many cases, and who could stand a makeover. The Island of Paniya interested her greatly - so many things to do and see just there, what might the world offer?

Of all the sisters in this House, Ronal stood alone as a challenge to her parents. She would have far rather worn her father's pants and work shirts than her mother's more traditional dresses and skirts. She always wanted her hair short and close, and always seemed to ask odd questions. As a compromise when she was old enough to understand why she wasn't interested in boys the same way as her sisters (and particularly Lonnora with her adoration of children) Ronal was encouraged by her eldest sister to be who she was meant to be. Lonnora and Ronal might have seemed the most opposite in the family, but they shared a closeness because perhaps they were on each end of the 'curve'.

Ronal's quick and keen business mind allowed her to master maths and history, as well as economics and politics quickly enough. If they'd been exclusively in Dawnlight, it was obvious from an early age that Ronal would be on a rapid line to becoming Outcast for the questions she asked. Why would only men be allowed to hold land? How could their women not be more vocal about this? The Old World both fascinated and disgusted Ronal, and she understood that it was something not to be mentioned in the Dawnlight family's presence - risking Outcast at all would be enough to damage relations with her extended family.

But her mind was always on something else: that she really, really enjoyed the presence of friends and family. How could she exist without them? She made friends easily but didn't hold on to many of them once they learned of her peculiar tastes and fascination with gender issues. All she wanted, she admitted sobbing into her elder sister's shoulder one afternoon, was to have a family with another girl. It just wasn't done... And it just wouldn't do to have to suffer in silence. So Ronal outed herself not too long before the dragon riders arrived.

Perhaps for the best, people may be intimidated by her personal life but Ronal's easy appearance and surprising tact when speaking to strangers helped seal many deals for the family's business. She will yet do so, but ... maybe with a dragon to ride she would travel far and wide to seek her one true love?

** subject to change**

Liran wasn't nervous in the slightest when they were taken to Falas, she eagerly met people and observed their fashion trends. She tried, she really did, to 'properly' represent her family's interests but she was only fifteen after all, and she was rather an excitable girl at that. Her eldest sister Lonnon only tried to correct her behavior a bit, for she herself was caught up - if a bit more elegantly - with the whole arrangement.

The dragons! Oh how lovely they were, and plentiful! Though it seemed odd to them, there were so many more greens and blues - and hardly any purples or reds or silvers or blacks where they looked. They both knew it was this "Old World" thing, but to Liran it made her adore being from Alskyr all the more.

"More colors," she pointed out, as the hatchlings were bumbling about their shells, "so many more colors."

And the first of the bunch of colorful dragonets to find her partner was the brilliant red-colored one, oddly female for her shade. The dragonet straightened her gait, put her head into the air and looked over all the assembled people. She found only Liran's eyes.

I am Renyath, and I am as hungry as my siblings... The dragonet thought into her mind. Liran so enjoyed the flavor of this contact, she laughed and lovingly stated for the rest of the world, "Her name is Renyath!"

They didn't get to eat just yet, however, they'd wait it out until the end of the hatching before they were allowed to feed. It was a bit weird, not even the Alskyran girls knew of this custom - parading the hatchlings and their pairs in front of everyone, as though they hadn't already been seen enough! They were hungry!

Lonnon's gorgeous black dragonet matched her typical outfits, it was pretty clear that these dragons were entirely appropriate for their humans!

It didn't take long for little Renyath to grow much bigger. Liran marched confidently around with her dragon's head held high. What a pair they made!

A bitey orange fellow bolted off rather abruptly upon spotting someone that appealed, leaving behind two siblings, one of whom stuck a tongue out in his direction.*

A lovely cyan made her way past all that, to delicately bump her head against Ronal.  I pick you, and you can call me Alcedath.
