Samuramat's Sanctum - Xeno Hive

Name: Throng Balechild
Gender: Male
Caste: Warrior
Rank: Mid
Colour: Cordyceps
Size: Grubbling Height: 1'5” at the shoulder; Adult Height: 9'10” at the shoulder
Innate Abilities, ^Adult Only: Winged Flight used to heavy lifting and muscling in and out of groups, Throng can lift and maneuver in tight conditions pretty well, and uses his bulk at low altitude to put a barrier between groups or individuals when needed. He can heft another dragon of his own size for short distances, so yes that will be something any of those 'disruptive' types may experience more than once...
Wall-Climbing, though large and in charge, he is surprisingly adept at locating strong-enough structures to cling to, and can pull off inverted 'flight-walking' on ceilings of large caverns or other structures when needed. He definitely thinks outside any box
Teleportation and Realm-Traveling, Throng knows exactly how to move right into the thick of things, carefully calculating his actual arrival location based on the tightness of the minds in the spot. He does offer a little bit of a warning, but sometimes you are going to get smushed a little when he appears directly overhead and lands with a thud. Best at a line of sight, but he has several specific locations to patrol. Maybe some day the others in the Hive will learn not to congregate on his landing spots. He is quietly adept at moving between dimensions, his ideas don't just come to him out of the blue ... or black. He observes other dimensions, blinking here and there and coming home with a laundry list of wild things to try out. And as a Warrior he does have a specific method of relocating or rediscovering a spot that's safe, often using this for deliveries or rescues
Telepathy, Verbal Speech, and Mindstream Communication; Throng's mind is always moving, always busy, but usually 'quiet'. Squirming like a bucket of worms, you feel the motion as much as hear his slightly-distracted hum. His physical voice is equally moving, almost musical in its constance. He tends to listen to the Mindstream more than speak to it, but knows that there are individuals among the many that he can tug on to get the best effects when he needs to communicate with 'everyone' in the Hive
Resin Secretion, ^Spore Infestation, He aggressively puts down resin as defensive and sometimes offensive physical barriers, when they have traveled to weird places and found food sources that have their own defenders... The sharp points and occasional 'trapdoors' that he spins are remarkably clever, and he's added the Spores to them on occasion when there are good candidates for 'extra help' around the place... The spores have been programmed to die when the resin is removed, there's no need to abandon a wild batch of it if they don't intend to take over a place permanently after all
^Command Husks, using the spores however, particularly the bits that have infected injured creatures that threw themselves at those resin defenses, he can change the tide of any large scale battle in incredibly terrifying ways. Throng will pick up the smallest of creatures as well as larger ones, but just loves having easy access to hundreds of voles or rabbits, infected rats, other such creatures that live up to his name. Where his sibling Swarm may take to the air, Throng commands from the air and lets the battles play out below him, delighting to the chaos such enemies provide
Acid Immunity, As a Xenomorph his blood is incredibly dangerous to anyone but himself. When he needs to get rid of the messy results of a battle, he will often ask another in the Hive to spew their own acidic breath weapon on a battlefield and can walk around on it without damaging himself
Sizeshifting, Throng uses this power quite frequently when he's assembling defenses and offensive resin bits. He makes trapdoors that work on specific sizes of creature by altering himself to be around their correct weight, testing it with his own body...
Corruption Powers, as with the spores, he tends not to use this ability where they won't be bothering to reside, but his own section of the Sanctum is ... well, he calls it 'delightfully' green-tinted and 'warm', and should he be called upon to help corrupt other locations he will be first in line to put down Balefire
Immortality, what would life be without a tiny bit of danger? He can be killed by physical means, but he knows that he will live an incredibly long life, once he molted he's here to stay
Personality: When creative solutions to a problem are needed, Throng is the one to get on your brainstorming team. Their ideas may be neither efficient nor straightforward (which is why nobody else came up with it), but their unusual method of going about problem-solving just about guarantees they'll catch potential opponents off guard as well.

Throng is not a head-in-the-clouds thinker, he knows exactly what he's doing most of the time. At least, in theory. He knows that 'somewhere, this worked', because he's seen things working on another dimension, or in another place. Rare is the tactic that will be seen more than once against the same enemy, and during those 'brainstorming' sessions for a protracted fight with locals trying to defend their food source, he will make sure that tactics are employed by all in the team.
