Ejari Cn'eni would gaze across the plains and assess things before carefully moving through the reeds, grass, and grains. She knew there were smaller creatures living there, they would often scamper with chittering cries and rustled grass trails even with careful footfalls on her part. She meant no harm to them, after all.
A shadow sped overhead, and even she ducked. Whatever predator it might be, could be dangerous!
He landed with a positively resounding THUD on her shoulder, and Ejari was so surprised that this was the dangerous predator that she could only turn and stare at him there. And likewise, Dlakrathas was as stunned to even be there... He wasn't expecting to impact anything on his hunt for those tasty tasty bugs that flew off in clumps.
"Didn't see you there, whoops..." she heard him mutter.
"I didn't realize you were - well, nevermind that." She would not offend him with some silly thing about being just an animal, he clearly was not. He slipped down off her shoulder, strangely making the gems upon her skin a little... tingly. How odd.
In time, they would certainly be a great hunting pair - she could tread as carefully as needed until reaching a spot with a carcass or other feature that attracted all the bugs that Dlak could feast upon, and then with one tamp of her forefoot - poof - into the air they would all go, along with the jet black dragon to gobble them up.
