Impulse and Trance, twins born to Ihfosa and Transience in WD 5. Impulse was born first, but both of them are Hyperfertile and Immortal. Go figure. Impulse: With the senses of a true Sengihr (she is Masque's granddaughter) and the odd addiction she has to actually feeling things, Impulse has earned her name well. She can sense darn near everything around her - from animals and emotions, to life in general, and minds in specific, as well as her normal 5 senses which all tower over most Kin. She is an emotion junkie, but she is also able to sense powers in unborn Kin, a feature which impresses many people - Kin, Human, Zekiran and Outworlders alike! However, her only true externally effective power is that of being able to shift her wings into a huge span big enough to fly with. She is good at flight, needs no assistance from wind or tk - she's got the knack for it. Trance: with mostly external powers - Trance is also aptly named. While his senses are high, they are not as peaked as his sister's and he does not seem to be able to use the full range of psionic senses that some Zekirans display. On the other hand, he has just enough empathy to get feedback when he uses his most very-favorite power - he can manipulate other people's biology. If they are a shapeshifter? He can cause them to shift. If they've got some sense going on? He can trigger it. However, he mostly uses this to give amazing massages of the sensual kind. With his four arms normally present, this is a truly wonderful gift. However he can also shift into one other shape - changing arms for legs, into a Kin'taur form. He's not all that fond of it, but he uses it mainly to hunt. He inherited his father's psionic shield ability, but it is focused into a more useful telekinetic shield, as well as a manipulative power at quite a distance. Impulse: Because she can fly, Impulse often uses that to her advantage when hunting. Since the dragons have come along, the herds of animals used for prey have only just begun getting nervous about big winged shapes in the sky. Even with her wings at their flight-size, however, she's only about 1/3 the wingspan of a typical dragon of the Tribe. She will use a bow from the air, but also is adept at throwing a spear. She very rarely hunts on the ground, and she does not spar or fight sentient opponents. Trance: on the other hands, Trance enjoys playing with multiple weapons like his younger sibling Deliverance. They have sparring matches that last for hours, often finding a new weapon in each hand. He likes shorter weapons like knives, clubs and small axes, but also has some fun with nets and traps. Since he can use a tk power at distance, he is able to open traps with dangerous animals in them in safety. |
Maybe when Deliverance is born? or fighting off some Kin thing? |
