Vollo, Lizard kin, Caretaker of the Yeechi Reserve

Name: Vollo
Species: lizard, likely a mixture of several types and breeds
Gender: Male
Age: young adult, with a long lifespan (over 200)
Height/Build: 6' at the shoulder, and nearly 8' at head with neck fully stretched; build as shown, tall and slender with gangly limbs and a strong large tail that acts as a counterbalance. Though he is strong and wiry he does not weigh nearly as much as any given mammal-kin might at that size
Appearance: golden sandy shades with a faint red-tinted stripe from face to tail along border of belly scales; creamy yellowish belly and hands/feet, all around heavily mottled but shiny and healthy looking. Eyes are brilliant yellow with no obvious pupil but he can see quite well; does have membranes that act as blinking eyelids; frilly ear-like fins aid in hearing; also has a very long tongue. Both hands and feet have 'thumbs' though only his hands can truly manipulate things, and those claws can cling to virtually any surface - he can't rely on tiny gecko-like pads to stick after all, but those claws... can cling to stainless steel

Genetic Abilities: Unlike any given non-kin reptile, Vollo is warm blooded, but beyond that he can shed his scaley skin (usually yearly) and benefits from being in warmer climates. That said, he's got reflexes like a gecko or small lizard, and can move absolutely as fast as the 6" versions. His eyesight and sense of touch as well as his hearing vibrations well beyond a human centric 20-20k hz allow him to respond far faster than any normal person. Even the cheetah kin nearby can't keep up with his speed! He does not run long distances nor for very long periods, but he can scurry around complex barriers, up trees or walls, around any of those surfaces even if it is just 'a barber pole stripe' zipping around a tree. And as above, he can cling to surfaces that virtually no one else and particularly no one of his length or size could. His tail doesn't dangle or lag behind the rest of him, he can use it to wrap or balance though it is not prehensile in a true sense.

Psionic Abilities: even if those things he can do with his body are surprising and distinguish him from other lizard kin, it is his keen sense of biological entities that moved him from his home planet to Planet Twenty. Animals and in fact almost any mobile or living cell structure that can move on its own - from amoebas to elephants - seem to 'like' him. Experiments he's done show that if he lingers too long in one place in his lab, mold or cell samples will drift and clump up in their containers all oriented toward him. However, this does allow him to do things like 'conduct a swarm of bees' or 'throw ants like they were sand' at enemies, which... sand is bad enough but ants? This ability is close range, but he has been working on gaining specific focus for it. Insects are great for food for smaller mammals or birds or reptiles, right? Guide them into the maw! But equally, small mammals and birds, and small lizards or other creatures, make for good people food.

Personality: He does not shy away from the fact that he will eat pretty much anything that he can fit in his mouth, whether that's a tongue crawling with crickets, or the throat of a rabbit... He's concerned about the well being of people as well as the animals that are often needed as food. But when he was 'discovered to be a filthy mutant' his studies at the academy were abruptly over. He's taken this in stride, though, because everyone's gotta eat, right?

But now, on Planet Twenty's dragon-centric Plateau and the somewhat local Zekiran colony, there are other things that need aid and food. And distinguishing between 'pet' and 'plate' is something he is quite good at.
