This is the story of a group of people, who had been living their lives out on a distant planet. But one day, their world came apart at the seams. Everything changed. People in charge decided to 'move' their citizens to a new world, far away.

When that world moved, everyone knew it. In some way. Most of the everyday people didn't realize much at first, but some of them were changed forever. Some went from Holders and Craftsmen to ... Furries.

One of the prominent players, a woman named Raanatani, was such a furry. She had been a dark-haired, tall and impressive woman to begin with. Now, she is a tiger woman with pale silvery white hair and children half-furry and sometimes 'taur shaped. She had been in charge of a fosterling home on the Old World, and here on Paniya she assists the newly furry folk get a grip on their new lives.

Some of the new furs gained powers, abilities and lifespans above and beyond normal folk. One such group hardly knew they were different underneath their human exteriors, but now they certainly can tell. Exotic creatures they became: dragons, unicorns, gryphons. Some seem normal, but are rather more ... durable than typical people.

Some of their original true-Pernese bonds have long since grown old and died, while other varied bonds remain alive to this day. Those that passed, shall always be remembered, but have been ^replaced by new ones in some cases.
