This page will be for the deprecated dragons I'm removing where I feel it necessary, swapping out for more recent or more appropriate dragons and pets. Specifically these are Mindspace dragons, mainly the depressing and injured types. I honestly have never been okay with some of the weird bloody messy things they produced, and while the dragons and such are well made, they make me personally uncomfortable for whatever reason. I am not inclined to completely delete these, so here they will remain with their original info and location. Also note there may be other similar creatures from Holic or another spot here and there, with notes about where they came from. List: |

Formerly on /zora domina/dom-desmond.htm Desmond's page But that didn't explain everything... He was still lonely and with the dragons he knew why. All this time he'd never had so much as a frog as a pet, let alone a familiar to aid him in spells. So all this time, from late summer into early winter, he had cast a spell looking. Searching, anywhere. What would be the best match for him, to aid him in his work? It was night before he knew it, and in Winter here he really shouldn't be out like that. Out on the roof, when it was starting to snow... But it was still very pretty out here. For once he concentrated on something other than himself, and suddenly saw what looked like fireflies dancing in a weird pattern nearby. He jumped from the roof, and didn't notice that his floating glowing runes had now vanished. Flashes of something bright distracted him, he picked up a shattered bit of glass, and on impulse looked into it. He saw... himself, only - there were walls, fences, barbed wire, laser grids, every possible impediment in the way. His heart started to thump, then sank. He knew perfectly well what that meant. He knew himself. But there was still a brightness, a dancing light before him. Maybe there were Willowisps here, who would seduce him and drown him out in the woods. But it was winter, and they weren't known to come out until late spring. So... What was this creature coming toward him? His wings were limply splayed to his sides but occasionally they blew up as though in a wind. A close pattern of them coalesced into a face with many eyes. "I'm right here," Desmond said, "it's okay." The creature's ears perked up and it was clear that they were sewn shut and would remain so, they were scarred that way. Several of its eyes blinked, and it picked up the pace. And fell into a plume of snow several feet away. Desmond stifled a chuckle, and went to help it up. "I know you, I think we had a dream together once. Saksama, that was your name. Is it?" Saksama nodded once, bright glow-balls swaying as though they were lighter than air. Desmond noticed that the farther he was from the creature, the lower the lights bobbed. He resolved to remain near. 2025: since Desmond is a much more confident and sure man these days in the Pacific Northwest after Domina's move across dimensions and the planet... And this creature, while it did occupy his time and emotions for a period, does not seem to be any 'better' than it was when it arrived. Never told him who had injured it, or whether it was born this way, deafened and blinded. Pity only goes so far. And while Desmond did learn compassion from or perhaps for it, ... maybe it's time to move on from the pain, small creature.

Unnamed Thestrals and 'Deadpet' with no name or information, originally found on zora_domina / dom-uma Uma's page
Snow Thestral! Uma's not sure when this guy arrived, but he is certainly fit for winter. His skin, while still taut and hard around his ribs and shoulders, shows a glistening kind of snowy-icy-white. His lovely wing sails are a bright contrast to everything else. Especially other Thestrals. ((DNS Winter Gather dragon 2007))

From Ben Farber's page on zora_domina/dom-benfarber *** But he wasn't going to let himself get trapped into that line of thought just now. Right now, there were a parade of dragons and their riders, getting ready for a dragon-sport match. Gray loved those things, Ben wasn't all that much into sports. But it was dragons, and they were always fun to watch, especially since they were offworld things, not given to roasting every human they saw! When he got back down to their quarters there was something ... something waiting for him.
That thing turned out to be a very patient, mottled colored beast from another world. Perhaps he'd scooted in while everyone was playing broomball , there were lots of open portals around. And Ben thought he had seen that kind of weird floaty-glass stuff somewhere around here before. "I am Gondolni," said the creature in a strange, glass-on-stone voice. "I wish to remain with you, travel with you, if I may? I have heard that you are a philosopher - I am a bit of one myself." Ben's eyebrow shot up, but he remained silent while nodding. After a moment he said, "yes, of course, I just hope you don't mind the kids..." "I have never had offspring," Gondolni said, tilting his head and allowing his long ear to touch the ground. Just then was when Kate and Gray came bolting in, cheering and giggling with the kids, Ben's wife looked at the unusual hades-beast and appraised him with a nod. "Nice, you've found one of those too - Desmond has one similar... not so similar," she looked around. "This one's got no wings." They settled back down, Lydia and Maddie were entranced by the glowing colors, and Gondolni looked wistfully at them, perhaps he would find a way to procreate, some day... ( I do still like the black and green for him but really it is rather emo; also the lack of easily available information makes it hard to justify keeping for breeding) |

Originally on zora_domina/dom-kalindra.htm Though they claimed often enough that they were 'whorlings', Kalinda knew perfectly well they were dragons. And they weren't the flying kind, they were special. They had four eyes, they were gifted with speech and magic. Haruja was a dark brown color, she was very pretty and very attentive. Her companion Basan was a little less focused but no less handsome. At least, to Kalinda they were gorgeous. To some other people, having those extra eyes seemed to unnerve them. That was okay, it gave Kalinda time to formulate a good jinx or charm to get people out of her hair while they were busy dealing with Haru and Bas.
Haruja Female, Whorling-based dragonet; around 4'6" at shoulder; Illusion magic, Animate Objects, speech; Outgoing, pleasant, eager to see things.
Basan Male, Whorling-based dragonet (Winter Gather 2007); 5'2" at shoulder; verbal speech, Ice magic/Manipulation, See Through Illusions; Defensive, protective, a bit jealous, highly distractable. Sneprin and Barakuja don't appear to be online any more, but when they have pages again, they will be linked as the parents! :D (these are not whorlings.) |

"Holic," he said, and Iris almost said 'bless you'...
He neglected to mention the clutch he was thinking of, but it had parents that were feathery and blustery and emotiona. But he figured privately that she'd fit right in. Her father after all was a faintly evil, definitely feathery, and rather amazingly chaotic man himself. Yes - Lucas had met the goblin king. No, they weren't necessarily on speaking terms. Though Lucas wished it... Maybe if he got the girl a dragon... Plus he would certainly be an interesting addition to the instructors should he feel like coming around more often than midnight-thirty after a girl's private wish... *** NaTalia packed a cloak and some of her magical tools. The half dozen crystal balls she took would have to do, they were somewhat heavy and only floated around her when she was actively scrying through them. "Don't give my bed away to someone," she warned. The girls in the dorm enthusiastically replied that they'd have the room to themselves, until she got back - they hardly wanted to give that up. It would be out of their hands, but they doubted that Zora would actually stuff someone else in there when she knew that NaTalia would return sometime shortly. "Most other schools would have a difficult time sending a student away and bringing them back," Zora said, almost a lecture. She was going to have to do this again a couple more times before the school term was up. "But we're going to expect to have you back, and then Lucas and Iris will test you on your abilities with your dragon. Cooperative flight, I know you can fly, girl, I've seen you do it; camoflage and scouting, that kind of thing." "And in the meantime," Lucas said, "we will be setting up a new den for your dragon, when you get home." "You seem unusually confident that she'll bond, Lucas," Iris said quietly. She usually noted that he was reserved and always added 'if' you bond, instead of 'when'. But this time? No - it was almost like a sure thing. "I'm just... fairly certain that a dragon will choose her. Call it a hunch." "Call it dragon's intuition," Lumiere, his daughter, said. She herself was trying to locate a good place to bond, so she knew that others would follow. "I think he's right." With that bolstering her own confidence, NaTalia put herself to the task of locating this place, Planet Holic. She did so shortly, and Lucas helped her prepare the spell to move through the crystals. It was a pretty affair, an array of marble-sized crystal balls that floated in a circle, then descended down over NaTalia. She vanished, arriving at Holic shortly. *** She was a bit bewildered, upon arriving, to discover that there were already 'hatchlings' wobbling about. Even more so when she felt the strangest urge in her mind to look down, upon which she heard an adorable voice cry out, "NaTalia! You came!" "No need to be so sour you know. I know I'm not exactly dragon-y looking, buuut I can do things some other dragons can't! Well, not yet... but I'll be able to," he assured her quickly. She gave her own equivalent of a small smile, crouching down and rubbing her hand through his thick mane, "I'm sure." They were ready to leave, but something nagged at NaTalia. She didn't want to spend much time in a foreign place, but with Jamalyn by her side (eagerly trying to defend her from imagined threats) she felt much more comfortable. There was something so familiar about Jamalyn's presence - perhaps his empathic powers were already strong. But what also nagged her was that there was no one else, well one person showed up a while later... And that was it. No one else to pick up these adorable kits? In the meantime she learned a little more about the place and its peoples, but was always very distracted. There they were, a handfull of younglings... NaTalia had never been a 'motherly' type, before now, but that wasn't a surprise to anyone. Now however she did feel compelled to help out with the little ones' care. Jamalyn enjoyed the continued contact with his siblings, and the others... Well, NaTalia didn't exactly soften up much, but she was efficient at helping clean and chop meats, and her magic worked just fine here - well, her crystal-based magics. She still couldn't manage to budge even a feather out of place, magically. Yet, she remained. Maybe one of the unbonded kits might enjoy a trip back to House Domina. *** Name: Jamalyn Ferricate

Originally on zora_domina/dom-lumiere.htm But she had come back with not just a time-displaced 'cousin' in the form of Aqqanat, but a three-headed, four-winged, two-tailed Kirintor, dangerously red-violet and black, upright even as a hatchling. Stingers on his tails and long claws on every possible digit, one head had slightly longer horns than the other two and more in quantity, the central one with three tall spikes along his forehead in addition to the two on the sides, and the one on his nose, and the jaw.... So many spikes. Those forearms as well with their large curved blades, this was a creature designed to kill. What it was doing with a student at a magic school was anyone's guess. He spoke little, but seemed to understand much. He would fit in better if he'd bonded to one of the 'other' students, perhaps, but with Lumiere present to guide him, T'ren'Katarn tried to keep himself occupied in the woods around the school. Burrowing into the caverns where Lucas and his kin had holed up, and getting booted out of there when they started noticing that their food supplies were going missing...
Sentry-level Kirintor. His name is T'ren'Katarn (Lumiere's bond) (I know absolutely nothing about them and they are not found anywhere on databases, I... might give up on this one without knowing more.) Possible parentage Casandrias'Noctirni and Diamadsama |
