Cendar, female, 5'5” 110, green eyes, brown hair, with ruddy light skin, age 22 turns.

Not remarkably healthy or given to long stretches of work, Cendar however has a remarkable mind and is highly empathic. She has a very pretty face and usually wears dresses which accentuate her slender neck and smooth skin. Her hair is wavy and falls around her shoulders, is usually loose. Cendar's main activity in the Hold has been to keep watch over the staff. She herself has rarely been caught napping, however she dodges duties like no one's business. Cendar has a collection of baubles and nice things both given to her by jilted suitors, and lifted from drunken or sleeping visitors to the Holds she has been to. It is almost unconscious that she steals little things, but she rarely feels bad enough about it to give anything back or worry about what to do with the items later. Many times she pawns them off on wandering gypsies or traveling holdless folk so they might sell them. Cendar is quite literate, though she often finds herself liking to listen to gossip rather than read a hold history or a ballad. She has found herself a brown fire lizard named Sneak, who loves to hide among her curls and keeps finding new shiny things for his mistress.

As the new queen and her rider headed for the entrance, the eyes of those in the gallery fell on the two green hatchlings that had followed behind their golden sister. The two almost appeared to be twins. They were nearly exactly the same small size and shade. One was slightly darker than her sister. That was the only distinguishable difference.

The pair of greens headed for the girls. The first one nearly charged into the candidates causing them to scatter to avoid injury. It seemed her enthusiasm had gotten the better of her though and she looked perplexed from one candidate to the next as though loathe to choose one of them. At last, she made her way to Nisserah. "Inath," the young woman proclaimed throwing her arms around the small green.

Her near twin had also found the one she was looking after some serious examination of the scattered girls. A few of them had gathered back around her, and she found herself at the feet of a lord holder's daughter. Cendar looked down at the little green.

You have beautiful shiny things. I like them. I am Ysalth, her blue eyes whirled.

"Of course, I do. You should see the rest of my collection." Her brown firelizard Sneak swooped down to meet their newest friend.

Ysalth did indeed like those shiny things. She once even managed to sneak a necklace of Cendar's and put it over her own neck! Cendar was tempted to leave it there, but for the fact that it would likely fall off or break. After all, the hatchling's growth would mean that neck would get bigger and bigger for another two turns!

It is not nearly as nice as I'd like it to be, Ysalth muttered mentally. The riding harness that Cendar would use to get back to Alabaster and Caledrus fit around her neck like a charm, but... it just wasn't fashionable. They were told their work would be enjoyable when they returned. Both dragon and rider wondered what Engell had in mind for them. She knew a few pairs had become fighters or scouts.

When they left Aneris for the last time, bidding their trainers and friends farewell and promising to visit, they arrived to Alabaster's airspace and took a detour over Cendar's home. Well, the entire wing of them did so: practically all of Caledrus Hold had come out to see them!

They took a few minutes to sort themselves out, following the big bronze and queen ahead. It looked so different from dragon-back, but then it also looked different from when she had been a youth. Since their move to a new planet and all...

Down at Alabaster's landing flats a good number of riders greeted the new arrivals. Engell himself strode up to each of them and shook their hands, a wild smile on his face. He seemed... younger, certainly less serious than he had been in any of the meetings Cendar had seen with him.

His lovely white dragon is probably why. Oh and those other dragons too.

"Other?" Cendar said, and quickly moved to bespeak, other dragons? What does that even mean?

It means that my idiot dragon keeps letting strays in and they keep claiming allegiance to me... Engell's mental voice was as smooth as the stone his weyrhold was built from.

"Ah, Cendar. I was hoping to talk to you about your new duties. While they won't be needed full time, I hope you don't mind... I've filled our Headwoman's post with your name. You've got a knack, and..." He glanced over his shoulder toward... the gold. "And, well..."

"And Torrey managed to impress a queen" Cendar laughed, "I noticed! She'll have more important duties than ordering drudges and cooks around now." A little bit of excitement bubbled up in her voice. "So... really? Headwoman? Me!?"

"When you're not too busy with... Ysalth is it?"

The green chirped shyly, and remained with her wings tucked and tail wrapped around her feet.

"I'll need to know your current system, it's probably different from Caledrus's."

"Later, for now, enjoy your new Weyr, and get used to the place a bit more. We've got plenty to do and most of the staff already knows how to do it, they lack... direction." Engell glanced behind him at two of those 'staff' members, as they gawked at the group of dragons.
