Name: Jenell [ELL designation JEN]

Gender: Female, straight

Age/DOB: 16, aged, created 2025

Origin: Repurposed Earth, AAEC

Family: She has hooked up with Blaze of all people at the Grounds, when the Hippies and Carnies show up. Their children are among the first born on this world to Aperturth parentage, Aeolis and Aella early in RY9

Other: Part of Melissa's attempt to bolster the ELL population, one of 6 created at that time; as she is part of the 'next generation ELL' group, all ELLs are her sisters, and they have that one weirdo brother now

Height: 5'6"

Weight: 100 at most* Icarus lightened her weight though she does have pleasant curves, she's mainly muscle and is deceptively small

Hair: dark brown with dusty highlights, absolutely straight and kept in a pair of ponytails

Eyes: dark blue, large and wide, usually looks amused at something

Appearance: lightly yellow-tan skin, with the same features as all other ELLs in that her face is wide with high cheekbones, a wide nose, and pleasantly full lips; she's almost always smiling or grinning, mostly because she is almost always up to something fun

Genetic Abilities: As proof that the ELL line would have tremendously benefitted from the Icarus treatments, Jenell has a strong Vortal link to all her sisters, and is able to sense Vortal presences at a distance of about 500 meters. She also has claimed that she feels the presence of Combine mentalists, the Advisors specifically, which operate at a different type and frequency of psychic power than Vorts or the Pantheon. She can communicate easily with anyone who has Vortal ability, though not with any non-powered people or creatures (other than dragons with the same features). Her main powers however seem to be in the form of a speed boost, where she can zip across a space in a bright-yellow blur, moving at quite a bit faster than sound - though for whatever reason there is never a sonic boom when she does this, not even a bullet bang. She can only move around 200 meters at a time this way, and it does exhaust her after 3 or so runs. She can, however, do much shorter bursts to anywhere with a clear line of sight, even across chasms or up/down, less than 20 meters away, and do this almost indefinitely. She's her own portal device, though she does have to be able to see the arrival area. It isn't true teleportation, she can be blocked by walls or even glass (there was that one accident with a clear pane ... ow...). Her speed isn't limited to just running or improbable leaps, her hands move faster and with precision than almost anyone - or anything - alive.

Icarus Processing: Yes, at inception, she and her 5 batch-siblings all had Icarus to boost their physical form as well as open any Vortal powers. Her strength is about 1.5x better than a normal human, and she is able to heal reasonably fast from small bruises and cuts. She doesn't become physically exhausted from running at a normal pace, it's only when she's utilizing her burst speed, so this is clearly a Vortal power and not physically running. Otherwise her weight was reduced dramatically, and she is as flexible as they come for ELLs.

Skills or Profession: given the standard educational download common to the Pantheon, but also the skill packages for ELLs, to utilize her speedy gifts best, she knows how to navigate and judge a three-dimensional environment with staggering accuracy. She's also gotten some more specific material physics and industrial information, so she knows just how to push a barell off a ledge onto some dumb Combine, or how to start a massive factory device up after fixing it. What she does with these skills out in the middle of nowhere at Lane Mansion? Well, not much, honestly, and she's fine with that. Actually she and OH go out looking for farm equipment to bring back to the Grounds, and she's likely to be the type that has two cars up on cinderblocks and lifts, while fixing them up eternally. She's a bit of a grease monkey.
Personality: Quite happy and cheerful, but don't you dare get on her bad side because she does have one. She's a bit more possessive than other ELLs who tend to share a lot, she has a collection of gadgets and trinkets from her trips through towns and ruins. Not hoarding level but certainly a little more cluttered in her room than most ELLs before her. Also she's a bit of a prankster, so if she has that look on her face like you see here, ... be warned, someone's gonna get a bucket of water or step in some slime... She always makes sure that the pranks are harmless, and cleaned up afterwards, so don't worry Mr Lane, it won't stain. Promise.

Events or History: Of note, Keenan adores her. Why? Because she does hilarious things and is speedy - unexpectedly able to catch up to him even when teleporting around the Grounds. She was created with the others by Mel, and took up the offer to come help clean up the Rookery world eagerly. She likes living in the Mansion, though, and looooves the smell of coffee.

Has a station at Dragon Tower 2, the central north tower, due to its proximity to the machinery and structures that house vehicles, as well as for protecting the cattle and granaries.

Dragon

Name: OH.
Gender: Female
Size/Shoulder/Length: Medium-small 7'8" s / 40' l / 72' and 40' ws
Colors: Black and Yellow, that's all there is to it; okay her eyes are copper orange and her claws are very slightly less than black
Features: Leafwing with Hive grand or great-grand parent, coloration and multiple wings only Hive features
Powers: Winged Flight, OH is as speedy as her human friend, and as maneuverable as a dragonfly with those extra wings. She can't lift herself with just those going, but often enough once she gets up to speed with her main wings, she'll fold them down or use them minimally in order to do fine moves. She reverses this in longer distance flights, relying on the speed and strength of her main wings to propell herself and the little ones for any form of direction change. While she's strong enough to lift several people or items, she prefers to carry only her human friend, and perhaps gear they've scavenged, and the rare chunk of farming equipment. Only while lifting heavy stuff do those wings make more than a faint clicking sound, they hum strongly when she's exerting.
Communication, OH is able to sense and communicate with her human and Vortal minds, but uses a high-pitched and almost static-sounding voice to speak English, Draconic, or the odd other human language. She cannot speak Vort, but understands it.
Oil and Tar, apparently the weird mixture of her parentage not only gives her that amazing appearance, but the ability to lay down a substance that is composed of a sticky or slick extremely shiny black material. She can almost ooze this stuff out of herself, and has been known to lay in it to become all black for camouflage purposes. This substance can alternately trap or slide anything that steps on it, so she tends to wait for instruction about which is better for a situation. She doesn't use it to trap prey, because it has to be cleaned off before she can eat it, ew. The oil slick version can grease up to a 5x5 meter floor, or even be used as grease, for those industrial machines Jenell wants to fix. It is super slick, and unless you're an Icewing, there's nothing on the earth that can actually resist slipping around on it. The tar is the exact opposite, though looks precisely the same - it instantly mires and clings to anything that touches it, becoming a very nasty trap. A smart person would wait for help and remove their shoes as they're lifted out of it. Dumb Combine on the other hand tend to get their hands stuck when they put their weight onto the ground attempting to pull off... The tar can only coat a smaller surface, about 3x3 meters worth, so she uses it carefully, and it can be put down in extremely specific spots. Such as a nasty wall trap in a corner with knives and pointy bits... and then, adds an oil slick to the area right around it. Cleaning up either of these takes about three times as much effort as creating them, but she can somehow 'reduce' the stuff down or even reabsorb it somehow; no one knows, she won't let people watch.
Parentage: Unknown Leafwing and Leaf-Hive? Has a brother on the Leafwing side - Leaf-Rain Helios, and a Silk-Hivewing cousin in the form of Hoch Mach
